tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114890463234144291.post-86208564795216745542007-11-16T21:59:00.000-08:002007-11-21T11:33:05.274-08:00Crazy No. 8<span style="color:#ffcc00;"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">OU Women's soccer falls to high-seeded Boilermakers</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">By Samantha Franz</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Sports Editor</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Oakland University's NCAA women's soccer tournament run skidded to a halt Friday, as they couldn't get a shot past No. 8 ranked Purdue and fell 4-0, with all four goals coming in the second half. </span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">“The team played well for the most part, but when you have a breakdown, teams of this caliber really punish you,” said head coach Nick O’Shea ina press release. “We really opened up after the first goal and they countered to get a second goal and we lost focus after that. It’s always a goal to make it to the NCAA Tournament and we had a great season.”</span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">And a great season they had.
