You need a LOT of soda ash...probably way more than you used and it still disappoints, unless you use Mercerized cotton. Protein is qui...Yeah, but Cotton is a bitch to dye. Protein is quite forgiving, you just throw Acid-dye at it, and it sticks! Cotton has that whole "needs to be reactive" thing, and you do have to soak and mordant it correctly, and then follow instructon perfectly...
