She is a lot more talkative now and can communicate very well. If you asked her with a WHY question, she would answer you back with a statement that starts with a BECAUSE. If you said something that she does not agree with, she would say 'Oh no mommy that is not ...'. Basically she is really developing.

But what really made me and the husband laugh was when anevay was so happy saying AYUN! AYUN! while pointing. I think she learn that from her classmate and she was so glad to used it at home. Even today while she was talking to her daddy over the phone she kept on saying ayun. Oh I love our little girl!

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-24914567781680678972009-07-08T21:22:00.002+08:002009-07-08T21:35:16.325+08:00StocksI really want to learn about stocks. I know its a high risk investment but it's also yields a huge amount of earnings if you know how to play. I know with the global economic crisis still creating waves one should be a little bit cautious. But I also happen to remember someone said that when the economy is on a dip and everybody does not want to risk, prices of stocks are at low so its time to buy because eventually the stocks will go up and you would be on top. But of course, as a newbie I might as well used Power Option to help me in my decisions with stock. Also, I have to learn more about covered calls to protect my investments just in case I have decided to take the plunge in stock trading.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-62321836721659100062009-07-08T21:09:00.002+08:002009-07-08T21:21:54.010+08:00Happy but ThriftyI bowed not to used any of my credit cards this month. And indeed I am successful in carrying that pledge as of this moment. I am trying my best to make sure that no purchases will be recorded until my cut off date. Two of my credit cards have cut off dates on the 15th ( that just a week away ) and one is on the 23rd. Right now when I go to the grocery I bring cash. Which also proves to be effective psychologically because I thought of the money I was using. So I am aware of how much I spend and I started being thrifty. haha.

I am counting on my will power to stop my cravings for shopping and I am praying that the load of task for this month would be heavy so that I can double the payment for our equity in our Antipolo house. I am also psyching myself that there won't be any more shopping for me until October or November. That means, there won't be a big celebration for the little girl's 3rd birthday.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-88404495173115348172009-07-08T20:44:00.003+08:002009-07-08T21:08:07.161+08:00The Book!I wanted to change the type of books that I will be reading in the future. I got tired of reading romance pocketbook that now I am looking for something different. Something that would inspire me as a person, a mom and a dreamer. That's why I started browsing through my favorite sites of 'online bookstore'. I love going through different books in the internet because I can take my time reading the synopsis of books that caught my attention without worrying about the time or a irritated saleslady who don't want private reading on the bookstore. lol.

Right now, I am interested in reading the big fat duck cookbook. The book is written by Heston Blumenthal. And according to the summary that I read the book is about the author and his restaurant. How he rise and made it big to the point that his restaurant, The Fat Duck has twice been voted the Best Restaurant in the World by a peer group of top chefs. What I am looking forward is that the author shares his technique and some of his recipes. That and of course the nice photos that comes with the book.

I guess I might be able to buy it online since it is being sold at a discounted price of £93.75 in borders.co.uk.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-74531737073198880082009-07-08T20:28:00.002+08:002009-07-08T20:44:19.548+08:00The Life of a Preschool MomOh I love my title! haha. But indeed my life as a preschool mom is taking center stage. It's a whole new world again for me. For the month of June, fetchers are allowed to stay in the play yard of the school. So at that time, I wait for the little girl. I spend 2.5 hours waiting. lol. It's okay since I get to know some mothers and get to chat with them.

But this week, the new rule was already implemented. We were only allowed to stay for 30 minutes before and after class. So, I decided not to go to school anymore and just put my trust on the hands of the school bus. As of this time, the little girl is now accustomed in being fetched by her service.

Of course, before going to school I need to prepare her snacks and her breakfast. I don't allow her to go to school without eating. Most of the time her breakfast includes chocolate oatmeal and a glass of milk. After eating she drinks her vitamins. And then were off to take a bath. Fortunately, she is no longer constipated. Maybe its because of Pediasure and she now drinks about 36 oz of water and more.

Once she is in school, I own my time already. I decide how to spend it. Right now, I am spending it doing some stuff that were put behind since i cannot do them with her around. That includes getting my manicure and pedicure, going to Taichi sessions and cleaning the house. I am glad of the me time, really! And I am happy with all the improvements that I am seeing with the little girl.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-48495418187306832282009-06-30T20:18:00.002+08:002009-06-30T21:14:28.017+08:00For the beauty industryThere are jobs that intrigued me. Though I am on the information technology field I still cannot help but marvel when I come across certain individual that has a different job from what I do. For example, hair stylist jobs. You see there is a job that involves art and creativity. I wonder if the said job would be one for me. Or any job in the beauty industry. I was trying to look for other jobs that has something to do with beautification. This is out of curiosity because I deal with these people every now and then when I call for their service. It's so nice to know that there is a website that now caters to helping this people out. Beautyjobs.com recently launched a search engine wherein the website will connect qualified job seekers with salon and spa owners and others who have beauty, salon, spa, or cosmetology jobs to fill—free of charge.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-68532673056484907582009-06-30T19:57:00.002+08:002009-06-30T20:18:08.890+08:00Tuesday ChallengeI woke up okay today. I don't know what happen, but as the day progress the joint pains occur. I was able to stay in school for about one hour and then decided that I really need to buy my medicine. On the way to the drug store, I can barely walk. Then I started on having chills. At that time I am already having panic attacks. I decided to go home instead of going back to the little girl school. Once home I took 30mg of prednisone and went to bed. I was having chills. I wanted to throw up. Everything is WRONG! A little after ten I decided to call the school and advised them that I won't be fetching Anevay anymore. I cannot function well and I think its only wise to just wait. Thank God for school bus and reliable school staff. My little girl was delivered safety at our door step. And would you believe at this time all aches are gone and I am normal again! Oh the agony of LUPUS.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-36162424794909014442009-06-24T00:24:00.002+08:002009-06-24T00:32:02.971+08:00When You PrayI just have to share this one. When I was still in school, a teacher told us that when you wanted something badly you have to pray to God fervently and be precise of what you really wanted. For example you want a car. You have to tell God to give you a brand new car, what color and what brand. I never forgot that teaching.

So whenever I came up with a problem or I wanted something I talked to God like he is my father and I am her daughter asking him to give me something. One of the many prayers that I would asked him was when the husband is having a hard time fixing some machines in a certain company. I would pray to God to assist my husband fixed the machine. I would really specify what type of machine it is and what company. You might find it funny but most of the time it works. After minutes of praying the husband would call to thank me for the prayers. And whenever he is having a hard time he would call me and tell me to pray for him because he always say 'Malakas daw akong manalangin'.

Anyway, this morning, I was talking to God. I told him I have overspend. And there is nothing I can do about it but work hard and look for resources to compensate for the spending I did. And then I asked him, actually to the point of begging to send some task my way. I specify which site and I even did some computations as to how many task I wanted. And did you know what happen? He send me that number of task I asked from the site I mentioned. I am overwhelmed actually. And I kept on thanking him because it's not only on that site that I have jobs. There are few more on others. But my point is if you wanted something badly, pray fervently and be specific. And of course, have faith. Believe me that works.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-5432348856298192712009-06-24T00:17:00.001+08:002009-06-24T00:23:00.869+08:00Aching all OverThe past two days my LUPUS is not being good to me. My mornings are filled with pain and I am back to walking like a robot. There is soreness in my ankle and my foot, making me think if wearing an ankle brace would help me. Okay, I am being silly I know. But sometimes LUPUS makes me that depressed to think of worse cases. I know I am still blessed that I can still do so many things despite of LUPUS. And I have the right funding to buy those medicines that I needed to make sure the disease is controlled. Speaking of medical supplies, if ever you need one you might want to check out allegromedical.com. They have wide range of medical supplies and even those products for mommies and babies. They are one of the conveniences for sick people.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-72098154736764308672009-06-24T00:10:00.002+08:002009-06-24T00:16:58.155+08:00ProgressMy mission right now is to make sure that we hit the right scale on the BMI on our next visit to the pedia which is scheduled on July. For this to happen I really need to focus on feeding Anevay the right food. As instructed by the pedia, I am now not buying cookies and biscuits but rather buy lots of fruits and even different types of cheese. I started putting corn oil on Anevay's rice and scrambled eggs also. There is still resistance on her part but I have to put my foot down when she said no and I would say yes. lol. It's a constant struggle but I need to be patient to assure that she is taking in healthy food.

Hopefully the pediasure will also help. She drinks three glasses of it everyday. I still have to buy CARO LITE that I am going to mixed in the milk to make it taste more appealing. I just wish she would gain weight.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-71522010526891309612009-06-24T00:03:00.003+08:002009-06-24T00:09:21.094+08:00For a healthier TEETHo make sure that Anevay maintained her beautiful teeth I decided to follow the dentist advise on changing her toothpaste and buying some water with fluoride. So now here are the combination that I trust to help me take care of anevay's teeth.
The Dr. Edwards fluoride plus water is a wee bit expensive. It's being sold for P 595.00/CASE (270ml x 35 bottles) P 570.00/CASE (775ml x 15 bottles). They deliver the water to your home every Friday. Not sure though if this schedule is applicable to all areas. Now that she's older I think its time for an upgrade for an earring. Though I so wanted to buy her cubic zirconia earrings but I know its too early for her age to be wearing such pretty and sophisticated piece. But I am thinking the mommy would more that appreciate it if she would be allowed to own even just one of the earrings. lol. Calling Daddy! I wanted those pretty piece, please. haha.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-65954110040690180162009-06-23T23:47:00.002+08:002009-06-23T23:52:02.749+08:00One WeekLast Sunday, I received a call from Anevay's teacher. She told us that Ingenium decide to cancel classes for this week because there are a lot of kids that were sick and that includes two teacher also. And the Teacher was fast enough to tell me that it isn't AH1N1.

Actually I am glad of the break. I am feeling a bit tired because of all the activities that we had for the past two weeks that the husband was here. Also, I am not feeling well also. Another thing I think the school really need to disinfect. The rooms are air conditioned and every time Anevay would go home she would be coughing and she has colds. The husband pointed out that there is something in the room that might trigger the colds.

True enough now that she is just at home the cold is gone and so is the coughing. The one week break is a blessing. But I need to make sure that I can force a sleeping habit so that I don't have to wake Anevay up. I wanted her to wake up on her own.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-29212363653146191432009-06-23T23:43:00.002+08:002009-06-23T23:47:39.912+08:00Should we be ALARMED?According to the Department of Health, there is no reason to panic. Even though they put Metro Manila in a low level alert because of the Influenza A virus, the public should still remain calm. Despite the fact that the virus is spreading like fire in schools and they are now having a hard time to detect who the carrier, we still have to live normally. But my question is..isn't DOH underestimating the situation? Are they capable to contain the virus.

Right now, one can only pray. And of course maintain that proper hygiene. On our part we have really thought Anevay to wash her hands properly. Actually it was the husband who really insist the little girl wash her hand after her bathroom breaks. Sometimes I tend to forget. But the husband he really was adamant about it. And so with this hopefully our family won't be hit by the virus. Oh God, please help us with this virus.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-40830801797191146282009-06-23T23:33:00.002+08:002009-06-23T23:42:14.700+08:00Get Away!I am a bit disappointed on the way things have gone during the husband vacation especially in terms of our expenses. Though we were able to set aside half of the airfare allowance into one of the husbands account, we were able to spend almost all the money that he send for the month of June. Which us with little savings for June. And when I told him that he too was a bit alarmed since we did not even went out of town. Now I am thinking. How much would it cost to turn those destination weddings
that I dream of into reality. A fortune, I guess! But I think since its only once in a lifetime, the cost is not a major consideration especially if you will be treated to the beauty of Karismahotels.

One day, even when the husband and I are considered senior citizen we would go on a get away on the Riviera Maya. Mark my word! lol.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-5900627065145427132009-06-23T23:27:00.003+08:002009-06-23T23:32:32.254+08:00Little Miss IndependentThat's my girl! She rarely asked my help or assistance. One time while preparing her for school, she got her socks from me and tried putting it on her foot on her own. After finishing the task she then got her shoes and then put them on. I told her dad about what she done and Daddy told me she is indeed one independent child.

The daddy cannot forget the time when Anevay ignored both of us in school because she went directly to the playground. We were really laughing because she did not even glanced on us because she knows will somehow prevent her to go to the playground. haha.

Now when most of her classmates are crying and demanding their mom or yayas to go inside the classroom, the little girl has started creating a world of her own. Where those that belong are her classmates and teachers. I just hope that even though she is growing to be independent, she would still want Mommy on her side from time to time.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-84676942067530691552009-06-23T23:12:00.002+08:002009-06-23T23:27:04.583+08:00Her AccomplishmentsSince I was busy this past months looking forward to the husband's vacation and later on his real vacation, I forgot to blog about the changes that has been taking place on the little girls life. Of course, she started schooling and she loves it. But what am I really proud of was that she no longer drinks on her feeding bottles. Among her cousins she is the earliest to quit her bottles. In fact, Aish (who is now in kinder) is still drinking her milk from her bottle. Also, I cannot say that Anevay is 100% potty trained but would you believed that when we go out even though she is wearing her diapers she won't pee. She would only urinate when we go to the cr. Imagine that! Yeah she had diapers on but I disposed the diaper dry. lol. There was even a time that she can control her pee overnight. Which according to her pedia is too early. Because only five years old can do that. lol. At first I was worried that she might get some UTI because of this but the pedia told me that I just have to monitor and make sure that she pee on time. And just recently I discovered she can now recognized numbers.

She really is growing up so fast.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-28614690388433910552009-06-23T23:05:00.006+08:002009-06-28T09:28:42.726+08:00Change of PlansNow that I know that I am not pregnant, there would be some changes in my plans. Though sad that I have yet to wait to be a mother again, something I wanted to happen again, I am also happy that I can devote some more time to our first born who is just starting school. Also, I think I'll used this time to stay healthy in every aspect. And since the little girl is going to school and I hired a school bus to fetch her from our home to school, I have a good two and half hours of me time from Mondays to Fridays. And as of the moment I don't know yet what will I do on those time. I am thinking if its already time to enroll myself on one of the online colleges I was looking into. I am interested in getting myself in one of the business courses in Capella University. But I am still weighing the pros and cons right now and other factors like my health and my time plus the funds I needed for the enrollment. Let me think first since I have a lot of spare time now I hope!

“This blog post is based on information provided by Blogitive. That I would embrace all the things that comes my way in a positive attitude. But somehow now I cannot shrug off the disappointment when I saw the red stain in my underwear signaling the start of my period. And so no baby number two yet. I don't know. I was already counting the thought that I am pregnant by this time but as the husband reply said 'It's not yet time!'.

Knowing that God has a different plan for us gives me motivation to look forward to the future. But because of this I am now thinking of consulting my obgyne. I wanted to make sure that there is nothing wrong with me. And I am thankful that God did not gave us baby number two yet when according to my rheuma at a point that shows my LUPUS is active.

And so because of this our focus would now be on our plan to go to Kuwait in November. Who knows that's where baby number two would be conceived? As the husband would say Inshallah!

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-55926545705058481202009-06-23T22:55:00.000+08:002009-06-23T22:58:42.224+08:00Shop that makes me HAPPYThere are two shops that would make me happy. One is a kitchenware shop and the other one is a shop that contains anything and everything for the house. You might be wondering why I haven’t included shops for bags and clothes. Well, I am not really a bag person as for clothes since I am on the plus size I only end getting frustrated when I see dresses that I like but won’t fit me. Lol. So, stuff for the kitchen and house really put me in a cloud nine.

That’s why when the husband is home he would make sure that we always made a trip to this shop. Those we already knew and those we have yet to discovered. For example on his last visit we went to a house depot because we wanted to see the available beds for a toddler. We haven’t found one that we like but the depot made me swoon to the moon. Lol. As the husband puts it even though I spend a whole day you won’t hear me complain. Lol.

I admit the depot really has nice stores but unluckily they don’t have the stuff that I saw in the home design category in stylehive.com. They don’t even have an item that is close to the description. And I so wanted to own those stuff. The husband saw my frustration and so he promised that he would look for those that I like in Kuwait. Isn’t he sweet? Well, he is and that’s why he is my husband. Haha.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-21171409575277991902009-06-23T22:34:00.004+08:002009-06-23T22:48:21.065+08:00The GiftI haven't posted here the gift I got from the husband when he arrived. It was his gift to me for my birthday, mother's day and anniversary. harharhar! Believe it or not -- it is a gift for those occasions! I am not complaining really because I am just happy that he brought me home something. Even if its just a candy or a paper as long as he remembers to has something for me is more that enough to make my heart melt. hehe.

But do you think this would be a good justification for the three occasions?

That's a necklace that he bought from one of the shops in Dubai. How much? I don't know. I don't have the guts to asked him. Not because I am afraid to ask but because if I knew how much it cost I might be tempted to tell him to return it to the store. haha. I haven't worn it because I am scared that someone might snatch it from my neck. lol. I just love to look at it and think that I own such a piece of jewelry.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-25402601978133696752009-06-23T22:25:00.000+08:002009-06-28T09:36:08.412+08:00Time to Hire?I feel that my health condition is at its worse ever since I went into a remission. I know its not worst that what I have experienced from 2002 - 2004 but what bothers me now is that I have a little girl who is dependent on me. Now, I am considering of hiring even just a cleaning lady who will come once a week to clean the house. That way our house will remain clean. As of this moment, it's really a great effort on my part even just to put some water on our water container. I am even had a hard time now putting the little girl into a push cart when we are in the grocery. All this I know will come to pass. I just need to keep the faith.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-47574179129891594342009-06-23T22:21:00.003+08:002009-06-28T09:31:52.572+08:00Gear UP!There is an idle lot near our area that was converted into a paintball arena a couple of years back. You wouldn't really noticed it if you don't know anything about paintball because the only indication on what happens on the place is a simple poster that was made in those clothes worn by soldiers. Anyway because of that I sometimes thought of trying the sports even though I am a woman with limited physical movement because of my LUPUS. I also want to wear the gears associated with the sports. I know it's expensive to own one but don't worry because for those paintball aficionado I found a website that has cheap paintballs. At www.zephyrpaintball.com you can choose from a wide range of gears and apparel without putting much burden in your pocket.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-40358872615760345662009-06-22T19:49:00.000+08:002009-06-30T19:55:30.418+08:00ConsideringI am thinking of enrolling the little girl in Kumon. I have heard a lot of positive feedback about it especially from fellow mother from the school. There was a four year old who already know how to read and that's because he was enrolled in Kumon. And what surprised me more was that the fee is only minimum. I have a month to think about it. I am really thankful of the location of our house. We are near almost to every establishments that made our day to day living convenient. God really is good for us.

MiLeThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05489549457283350877noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6053702069472582108.post-68793579039283796022009-06-20T22:03:00.003+08:002009-06-20T22:11:35.384+08:00Happy Father's Day!I feel that my heart is broken into pieces because Anevay and I would be going to bed tonight without you on our side. It pains me to think that I won't hear your bedtime stories which both put me and the little girl to sleep. I won't hear you laugh with me upon seeing or hearing Anevay's antics. Tomorrow, I won't be waking up with your hugs, kisses and smile. I would look back on the time when you'll cook breakfast for me because I am crippled by joint pains and edema. I love it when you would prepare ice tea for me. And most of all my heart is broken because you are not here on our side.

With you I feel like a child again. With you Anevay is in her happiest. Thank you for all the sacrifices and the love you have showered to us. YOU ARE THE BEST DAD THAT WE CAN HAVE.
