The kiddo and I went down to Texas Children's Hospital today to visit our friend Amber.  Amber is now on her 3rd round of chemo for leukemia. The two kids played a video game, watched a movie and ate the KFC we brought.  I was very dismayed to discover that our KFC order was short on white meat and mashed potatoes. So, the kiddo is home sick today.  Sore throat, congestion.  That sort of thing.  With the whole H1N1 scare, I just decided to keep her home.  Glad I did because now she has a low grade fever.
