But I'm hardly a deep environmental engineer (though my cousin is). Basically, the question as I see it is whether or not the damage has been done. If we sequester a billion tons of carbon out of the atmosphere, that's got to be a positive, right? But, does that restore the Earth to where it was before, or is it more like a piece of broken glass back you can't reglue back together.
