Dino Martini is an old-school P.I. in a modern age. Sure, he may do most of his work on a computer, but he carries a gun, drives a convertible, and lives on the beach. Best friend and mechanic Seth Donnelly will back him in a fight, and there's not a lot more Dino could ask from life.

Until his world is turned upside down.

A dangerous case and a new apartment are just the start. His friendship with Seth has turned into a romance, only Dino has never had a boyfriend before. Can he handle this sudden twist? Just as he begins to believe it's possible, he loses Seth in more ways than one...

Kathy’s Review: I really, really enjoyed Elle Parker’s Like Coffee and Doughnuts. The title first appealed to me and then the summary cemented my interest; even so, I wasn’t prepared for just how much I did love the book. Suffice it to say that Elle Parker is on my search-out-other-books list; if her other work comes close to this one, then I’ll be a very happy reader!

The build-up in the story was gradual but very well done and it suited the characters superbly. Dino’s not a man to rush into anything ~ usually, anyway. But when he finds himself turning all cave-man and then mothering hen over Seth, he’s really not sure about anything any longer. The friendship between Seth and Dino was wonderful and, to my female eyes, came across as entirely realistic. I love the interplay between the two men; whether just hanging out, heading out on some repo work or finding their way through the uncharted depths of their changing relationship and budding romance, I was totally taken by the two.

And then there’s the job that caused so much of their trouble. I could see it coming, but that only made the tension more intense. When stuff finally began happening I could almost sit back and breathe a sigh of relief… almost. Elle Parker manages to build to a fine point, maintain, give the reader a bit of a break and then ~ bang! ~ leave them sitting on the edge of their seats.

Frankly, I really enjoy PI stories such as Like Coffee and Doughnuts, but the romance angle was a wonderful addition to an already stellar tale. This is not only a delightful romance with plenty of bumps and curves, after all neither Dino nor Seth had ever had a romantic ‘relationship’, but it was also a slick and dangerous adventure story. Very much character driven, but without the plot, Ms. Parker’s story would not have the richness and depth that it does. And as I mentioned before, Elle Parker is on my backlist-search list. An excellent story no matter by which genre you may want to judge it. Give yourself a treat and pick up Like Coffee and Doughnuts, sit back ~ if you can ~ and above all else, enjoy!

Rated 5 Delightful Divas Kathy!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Love for Christmas by Kate Hofman

Love for Christmas by Kate Hofman
Publisher: DCL Publications
Genre: Christmas/Contemporary Romance

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: Nick and Ellie have been divorced for two years, due to the vicious machinations of Monique, his secretary, who hoped to marry him. After the divorce Nick makes it clear to Monique that he wants nothing to do with her. Unfortunately, Ellie does not know that.

When they meet, accidentally, at a hotel in the Quebec countryside, they begin to resolve their differences, and confess to each other that they did not want the divorce.

While they are in the Bar Intime, suddenly Monique appears. Is she there at Nick's invitation, as she tells Ellie, or is she stalking Nick?

How can Ellie be sure Nick is serious about her? Does he really want to marry her again, as he says -- or is he merely having a fling with her?

Deb's Review: Love for Christmas is a sweet soft love story by Kate Hofman. This story is soft yet passionate with a little something for everyone.

Nick and Ellie captured my heart because their characters are so intense. They felt very genuine as the story of lovers lost unfolds. Ellie is a brave lady willing to give into what she wants. I would have liked to see a little more fight—a little more battle—with her emotions on giving into Nick. I would have made him beg a little. {insert evil laugh here} Nick is just charming and so willing to do what needs to be done to capture Ellie's heart again. I did like that fact that Nick's character really dealt with his miscommunication with his wife. That is what made me enjoy this book even more, the realness of them both. Nick and Ellie will have you believing that anything is possible as long as there is love.

As for the second level characters, they were just as likeable as the top rung characters. You have the ever-so-vibrant Maddy, who I just adored. Then you have Alain, who is a rascal if I ever saw one, and Monique, the evil temptress. With these three there is never a dull moment. As for the location of places in this book, they are real places. Saint-Anne-des-Monts sounds just beautiful. When I return to Quebec this summer I am heading there to see its wonder. I have driven by the Hotel Auberge and it is truly breathtaking; Ms. Hofman captured it well.

I was charmed by the plot line and setting of this book: the Quebec countryside, sleigh rides, reunited lovers, new friends, and explosive passion.

Love for Christmas is a Christmas Romance that will last forever in this reviewer’s heart and will be re-read as well. Kate Hofman is phenomenal! An absolute delight to discover.

Rated 5 Delightful Divas and a Recommended read by Deb!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Devon Falls 4: Haunting Magic by Raine Delight

Devon Falls 4: Haunting Magic by Raine Delight
Publisher: Aspen Mountain Press
Genre: Erotic Paranormal

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: Rodrick Dracon is the twin heir to the Dragon Inn. When he finds himself longing for a mate after being footloose and fancy free, he finds himself drawn to the most obnoxious, brassy woman he has ever met: Jaxon Sinclair. She is the one woman who doesn't melt when he goes by or hangs on his every word. She is just aggravating and downright sexy as sin! Soon the sparks fly, passion goes into boiling and Halloween approaches. Can a wolf shifter get this woman to heel before the full moon? Or can Jax turn the tables on this ladies man and tame the wolf?

A.J.’s Review: Love or Lust…Can one exist without the other, especially between two people who bicker whenever the opportunity presents itself?

Some consider Devon Falls a magical place where individuals with special gifts can truly be themselves. That is, provided they aren’t running from their destiny, which is exactly the predicament Rodrick Dracon, the twin heir to the Dragon Inn, has stumbled into, along with his inner wolf. Rodrick is sexy-as-sin, and has been deemed the town’s “stud master”. He can have any woman and doesn’t have a problem with his playboy image and revolving bedroom door. At least, that’s the perception of everyone in Devon Falls. But, looks can be deceiving. In actuality, Rodrick is lonely and the wolf inside is ready to mate. Unfortunately, the wolf has chosen his arch nemesis, Jaxon Sinclair. A sexy vixen who is strong-willed and has no problem putting Rodrick in his place whenever the opportunity arises. However deep down, she lusts after the man who gave her one night of blinding passion years ago. What will it take for Rodrick to settle his inner wolf? Moreover, will Jax succumb to her lust-filled desires and discover an inner peace with Rodrick that she’s never felt with anyone else? Or, will these two defy destiny with their petty arguments and end up two lone wolves?

Although I’ve read other books by Ms. Delight, I’ve never read her Devon Falls series. But, I must admit, after reading Devon Falls 4: Haunting Magic, I’ll definitely be purchasing the rest of the books in this series. Ms. Delight has done a wonderful job of writing a short story that packs a punch. This book is sexy, and the intense connection between Jax and Rodrick is enough to keep you hot and bothered on a cold winter’s night. Rodrick is one alpha male determined to calm his inner wolf by conquering the one mate he would have never chosen for himself. Ms. Delight has created a set of characters that readers can definitely identify with, especially if you believe in the theory of opposites attract. I enjoyed the banter between Jax and Rodrick, and at times, found their situation humorous. The description of Devon Falls is so vivid in the book that I had no problem picturing the small town full of gossips, which only brought the characters to life on the page. Two thumbs up to Ms. Delight for providing readers with a sexy Halloween story that’s guaranteed to get your blood boiling from the exquisite pleasure Jax and Rodrick experience as they embrace their sexual desires and hopefully find love. That’s one alpha male I wouldn’t mind having myself.

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas and a Recommended Read by A.J.!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

The Solitary Knights of Pelham Bay Book 1: Finding Chandler by Claire Thompson

The Solitary Knights of Pelham Bay Book 1: Finding Chandler by Claire Thompson
Publisher: Romance Unbound
Genre: Erotic, GLBT, M/M

NOTE: Finding Chandler is available as a FREE download! The man he discovers isn't the boy he left behind so long ago... Will finding Chandler mean finding love at last?

Melissa’s Review: Finding Chandler is book one in Claire Thompson’s The Solitary Knights of Pelham Bay series. Even better, it is available as a free download! This series is about a group of mature gay men who are friends. They have started their own little club, The Solitary Knights, because they have been unlucky in love and intend to remain single and enjoy plenty of sex with no attachments. In their brief introductions, Claire gives just enough insight to these men to show that they may put on a happy face, but below that smile and bravado lies broken hearts and wishes for more.

In this first book, I got a short but emotional look at Eric and Chandler. Claire does a fantastic job of bearing Eric’s soul in this novella. He is a strong man, brought to his knees. As much as I felt so much sorrow for him, I also think that he has learned his lesson and is ready to move forward in his promising future.

As a young man in love for the first time, Chandler was in awe of Eric. He gave him unconditional love, understanding and loyalty even when Eric probably did not deserve it. Now, he is all grown up and mature, and he shows his battle scars of loss.

Claire never fails to get right to the heart of her characters, making them very real and very relatable. I look forward to reading about the rest of The Solitary Knights. I am sure it is going to be a roller coaster of emotions with these men.

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas by Melissa!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Dimi of the Seven Moons series, Book 1: Deliciously Wicked by Jenika Snow

Dimi of the Seven Moons series, Book 1: Deliciously Wicked by Jenika Snow
Publisher: Siren-Bookstrand, Inc.
Genre: Erotic, Fantasy, Sci-Fi

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: When Mena is transported into a strange world, she comes face-to-face with a towering seven foot tall man named Demariak. She can't help the desire that just one look from him sparks in her. When Mena is literally swept off her feet by Demariak and brought back to his home, she experiences pleasures she had only thought about in her most erotic fantasies.

Demariak is the leader of the ZorZack tribe, respected and feared by all who meet him. When he meets the beautiful Mena, he can't stop the possessiveness that consumes him. When Mena is thrust into danger and her life hangs by a thread, Demariak will do everything in his power to protect what he has already claimed as his own.

Dakota's Review: God, how I love science fiction! Only in a book like Dimi of the Seven Moons series, Book 1: Deliciously Wicked could I find an alternative world where there are beasties waiting to eat you and strong warrior men who are willing to slay the beasties to protect you. What can I say honestly about this book? I hope Jenika Snow has already started writing on the next book in this series. I absolutely loved this book despite having been left to wonder about the fate of Mena's best friend. I can't wait for the next one to come out. I'll be buying it for sure.

I loved the uniqueness of this book and how a modern woman adapted to being whisked away to an alternative plane of existence; something she did in stride despite the fear and uncertainty I'm sure she felt. Ms. Snow has done a wonderful job of crafting believable characters and even providing a bit of humor along the way. I have to say, I haven't seen chemistry between two characters any hotter than that between Denariak and Mena. Even as Denariak leads and is as demanding as would be expected from a leader, his treatment of Mena, while trying to deal with her modern woman's thinking, makes him a complex and strong character I wish I had written. Bravo, Ms. Snow! I give Dimi of the Seven Moons Series, Book1: Deliciously Wicked Five Delightful Divas and A Recommended Read!

Rated 5 Delightful Divas and a Recommended Read by Dakota!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Claiming Their Dream Weaver by Cooper McKenzie

Claiming Their Dream Weaver by Cooper McKenzie
Publisher: Siren-Bookstrand
Genre: Erotic Fantasy Menage a Trois Romance, M/F/M

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: At six, Suz claimed Penn and Liam McKenzie for her future husbands. At eighteen, she promised them her virginity and all her orgasms. But at nineteen, she ended up with another man.

Now thirty, Suz is weary of her future, especially after barely surviving her ex and the practical life she'd been forced to live. When an email calls her home to Dreamer's Dell, Suz must face Penn and Liam for the first time since breaking her promise.

Penn and Liam have loved Suz since the first time they laid eyes on her. Knowing their lives are forever bound, they wait for her and wonder. Will their love be enough to invoke the magic? Will they be able to put the past to rest? Will they be able to finally claim their Dream Weaver?

Dakota's Review: I've been on a ménage a trios kick as of late, and Cooper McKenzie has definitely soothed my hunger for a hot threesome with Claiming Their Dream Weaver. I was whisked away into a world she'd created and it has me wondering if she has written more stories in this delightful line. One particular scene comes to mind and that is where Suz connects with the past history of her family. As an author myself, I can see the wealth of stories which could come from just that one scene. So if you haven't written anymore on this line, that would be a good place to start, Cooper…hint hint.

Now taking my author hat off, I can't help but gush over the book as a reader. As I said before, I've been reading quite a bit of threesomes, foursomes, you name it. If it has multiple partners, I've been reading it. Like Ms. McKenzie, I am a sucker for a Scottish accent and a man wearing a kilt. It must have something to do with my Sean Connery fetish...lol. Both the gentleness they show Suz when she's down, and the fiery passion between them, had Penn and Liam stealing my heart. These two would've stolen off with my heart if my own husband didn't already have it. If I had to have two husbands, these two would rate high on my list.

The characters in Claiming Their Dream Weaver had me breathless and I'm certainly glad Ms. McKenzie has written a sequel to this delightful story. It's currently sitting on my e-reader and waiting impatiently for me to get to it. Speaking of which…I don't know if I can resist temptation long enough to finish this review. With that being said, I would definitely recommend this book to any fans that love ménages and still want their heroes strong with a tenderness streak. A sweet but spicy novella, I give Claiming Their Dream Weaver 5 Delightful Divas and a Recommended Read!

Rated 5 Delightful Divas and a Recommended Read by Dakota!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Encounters: The Unicorn by D.B. So starts out the tale of Barq, a farmer (in a medieval world farming is the original oldest profession) in the fascinating world on the other side of the Enchanted Forest. Taking place in the same magical place as Encounters: CowGirl, The Unicorn tells a tale of a comfortably well-off man tricked into marrying a slothful witch. Not satisfied with half a loaf his deceitful wife schemes to gain it all by transforming him into a random animal. His childhood love of trying to catch a glimpse of the elusive unicorn leads him to believe that of the choices remaining to him, if not a man any longer, then a horse. In the end his new form leads him where his old human self never could have ventured. It's a sexy fairytale from the far side of the forest.

Dakota's Review: This delightful addition to the Encounters series was a well written story and whisked this reviewer away. Since fiction often mimics reality, I empathized with Barq as he married the wrong woman for him and ends up under the spell which changes him. Using the unique outlook from only Barq's perspective, D.B. Story tells us a strong story thick with moral value and a decidedly erotic twist. Encounters: The Unicorn reminded me of listening to the Brothers Grimm fairy tales and how each had a morale to the story. The young girl in me loved the idea of Barq seeking out the elusive unicorn as I am a fellow aficionado. I am happy to see, that there are still fellow enthusiasts out there.

In this short but sweet story, I was taken from highs of a first love--as misguided as it can be--to the lows of disappointment and back to the highs as Barq finally finds his true purpose. With strong writing, heart tugging characters, and a dash of fantasy thrown in, I am pleased to give Encounters: The Unicorn four and a half Delightful Divas. Kudos, Mr. Story, for such a well written story! I look forward to reading more of your stories in the future!

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas by Dakota!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ddrreviews.blogspot.com/2009/12/encounters-unicorn-by-db-story.html' title='Encounters: The Unicorn by D.B. Against this chilly backdrop, the printer, engraver and fiercely independent Gideon Frost struggles; not only to keep his business afloat, selling his body to men when he must, but also to hide his growing attraction to a wealthy customer: the gentleman Joshua Redfern. Redfern is a man out of Gideon's class and very much out of his reach.

When disaster strikes, Gideon is forced to make a decision which will affect his future: will he choose love, or independence? Frost Fair evokes a bitterly cold London winter as Gideon tries to find the heat of love in his heart and his life. Written by Erastes, author of the widely acclaimed Standish and Trangressions, the latter the first in a new line of m/m historical romances published by Running Press.

Dakota's Review: I grabbed Frost Fair out of curiosity and nothing more. I saw the title and was intrigued; Erastes didn't disappoint either. I loved the lushness of the words and the pictures they painted. I could feel Gideon's desperation at times as if it were my own. I've never read a historical m/m book before and I will have to say it captured my attention. Erastes attention to details had this reviewer feeling as if she were there in the cold of England's bitter winters. I can't say enough about how well written this book is. The characters were wonderfully drawn and I hope to be fortunate enough to read another book from Erastes in the future. I give Frost Fair four and a half Delightful Divas!

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas by Dakota!

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; Her parents' incessant need to see her mated forces her to escape to the mortal realm where she meets two deliciously sexy men, courtesy of her brother's annual Halloween party.

Kingston and Jagger are walking sin and Natalie can't help but indulge in their company. By nightfall, her bloodlust is boiling. She succumbs to temptation and beds both men, only to learn the two humans she planned to feed on are, in fact, vampires, like herself. The mating bond has already begun and there's nothing she can do to stop it. She believed one mate would never suit her, but could she possibly be made for two?

Jae's Review: I was fascinated by Made for Two when I read the blurb, and Lexie Davis' story does not disappoint. I truly enjoyed learning about Natalie and her men, Kingston and Jagger. This was a shorter story at 60 pages, leaving open the possibility of these characters returning in future tales if the author so chooses. I, for one, would definitely love to hear more tales of Natalie, Kingston and Jagger's adventures.

I thought the character development was very good. I was vested in the outcome for each character almost from the very beginning. The plot was intriguing and unique as well as well-executed. The flow of the story was excellent; smooth transitions and voice throughout. The tale grabbed you from the very beginning where you were wondering what was happening and carried you to its very nice conclusion.

Natalie's brother, Lucas, sounds like a prime candidate for a story of his own; I would love to learn more about him and see his romantic downfall. I guess, in the end, my hope is that Lexie Davis is planning on returning her readers to this wonderful world she created in Made for Two. In any regard, I will certainly be on the lookout for more from this author.

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas by Jae!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Triad, Courtland Chronicles Book #5 by Cat Grant

Triad, Courtland Chronicles Book #5 by Cat Grant
Publisher: Lyrical Press
Genre: Menage/Contemporary/Erotica

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: It's three times the pleasure - ten years on!

Eric Courtland, his wife Ally and husband Nick have been living the sweet life for the past decade, tucked away in their luxurious Tuscan villa. But when a family crisis brings them back to the States, blackmail and an unexpected revelation threaten the delicate balance of their marriage.

Weathering this storm may take everything they have - and still tear them apart.

Amy's Review: Triad, Courtland Chronicles Book #5 by Cat Grant is a wonderfully written story that grabbed me and held on through the whole book. Triad is part of a series, but this was the first one that I read. The story line was easy to follow and the characters were easy to get to know and fall in love with without needing to read from the beginning to understand what is happening now. This story flowed so well, and with such ease, it would have been easy to see this story go on and on while keeping the reader intrigued the whole time!

Ms. Grant touched on so many subjects that anyone can relate to; love, heartache, aging parents, death, life, illness, not to mention scorching hot sex! Not too many times can an erotic story evoke such strong feelings that you can feel like you are holding back the tears, only to want to be laughing out loud the next minute! The main characters in this book, Eric, Nick and Ally, have a love for each other that is so clear, that even when things get muddled, the reader is hanging on by a string in hopes that love really will conquer all.

What I am looking forward to is going back and starting from the beginning to see how these three ended up together. I want to know how 20 some years ago, Nick and Eric fell in love, the struggles they faced, and how Ally eventually comes into play. Nick is the strong, athletic, silent one that stole my heart from the start. He seems to be, at times, an outsider in this love triangle. And even as the sometime outsider, to me, he is the glue that holds everyone together.

I loved that there was enough of a history given that I could understand where all three characters had been previously, but not so much that I was overwhelmed with stories from the past. It was so refreshing to read about everyday life. Reading is an escape route, many times taking us away from what is happening in real life, and creates a world full of excitement that involves murder and mayhem to keep the reader enthralled. Triad dealt with everyday things that any of us could be or will be experiencing at some point in our lives, and it was still exciting and heartfelt. For me, Ms. Grant knocked it out of the park with this one!

Rated 5 Delightful Divas and a Recommended Read Amy!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Guardian's Realm 2: The Collision by Crystal Kauffman

Guardian's Realm 2: The Collision by Crystal Kauffman
Publisher: Loose Id
Genre: Erotic, Paranormal, Fantasy

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: Balin Renforth has served the Guardians loyally for six hundred years, protecting innocents from vampire scum like Fitch Galloway. But he cannot deny the nagging familiarity Fitch inspires, any more than he can deny the irresistible curiosity stirred by the other man.

Fitch Galloway recognizes Balin immediately, though he never knew of the man's ties to the magical Ancient Fae which gave him the powers he used to transport them to the outer limits. The Guardian has clearly grown a stick up his ass, yet Fitch cannot deny that saving him more than six hundred years ago was the best thing he ever did, and Balin has become an honorable man he cannot help but feel proud of. But that's not the only feeling the handsome Guardian stirs in Fitch...

Or in Gladiolas. If it weren't for her painful addiction, freed Palace slave Gladiolas would think she'd died and gone to heaven. Finding herself in a remote castle prison with two drop-dead sexy men is like a dream come true. They're both so fiercely protective it feels like she is no longer slave, but master. Now if only she can get them to stop fighting, and start loving...

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, ménage (m/f/m, m/m/f) violence.

Melissa's Review: The Collision is the second book in Crystal Kauffman's Guardian's Realm Trilogy. While this story started with a bang, I have to admit it was also a bit confusing. I read the first book, The Combat, just a few days before beginning this one, therefore it was fresh in my mind. The opening scene of The Collision is actually another perspective from a scene near the end of the first book. It took me just a few minutes to realize this, but once I did, I could appreciate getting this perspective, because it was an intense scene in both books, and getting this perspective cleared things up.

As much as I was impressed with the powerful emotions and characters in the first book, it almost can't compare with this second story. If I could describe this book in two words, I would have to say, “Erotic Magic”, because that is just what The Collision is.

Crystal Kauffman created a magical world and filled it with outstanding characters and their intriguing story. Her creative imagery was rich in vivid detail, and I felt as though I was there with the characters, experiencing everything as they did.

It seems the books in this trilogy get better as they progress, and I cannot wait to read the third book in the Guardian's Realm Trilogy.

Rated 5 Delightful Divas by Melissa!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Midnight Playground, Book 1: The Seeking Kiss by Eden Bradley

Midnight Playground, Book 1: The Seeking Kiss by Eden Bradley Publisher: Samhain Publishing
Genre: Erotic Paranormal, Ménage, M/M/F

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: Two vampires, one woman, an eternity of love and desire…if only she's strong enough…

Midnight Playground, Book 1

London 2069

For as long as Nissa has known about Midnight Playground, the most exclusive of a world-wide network of vampire sex clubs, she has yearned to gain entrance--and to become one of them. Orphaned and alone from a young age, she has nothing to lose and nothing to stop her from indulging in her darkest fantasies.

Hex and his maker, Aleron, have enjoyed many play partners at the club and have often shared in the euphoria of the Seeking Kiss, that sensual blood exchange between vampires and their lovers. But Nissa's beauty, intelligence and strength is a siren call he can't resist.. His desire for her and her willingness to let herself be drawn by their mental pull compels Hex to consider offering to her something he's never given another mortal- the treasured Turning Kiss.

The beautiful vampire pair entice Nissa into an intimate sexual realm beyond her wildest dreams--and she revels in it. But when she finds herself falling for one of the powerful duo, it could mean the end of her deepest fantasies. Or a new beginning she never dared to imagine…

Melissa's Review: The Seeking Kiss is set in future London, after an apparent Apocalyptic type event. Nissa, the heroine and focus of this book, has a powerful entrance. She has had her fair share of hardships, but she has come out of it strong and independent. I immediately liked her. She was a well-written character, and one I hope to meet back up with again in the next books in this series.

Nissa meets up with Hex and Aleron at the exclusive vampire club, Midnight Playground. Both of them are captivating and sexy, but I was drawn to Aleron as much as Nissa was drawn to Hex. Aleron has that very long, dark history, and it is one I would like to know more about. I only hope that he appears again and again in this series. Hex was sweet and caring, and combining that with his looks makes him a very nice package, indeed.

Eden Bradley's take on vampires and London in this time period was quite interesting and enjoyable. She used just enough description to bring the sights, smells and sounds to life for me. The sex scenes were passionate to the point that I found my heart pounding as I gasped for breath. I will say that her use of wording, grammar and punctuation during the sex scenes would normally be a bit aggravating to me, but somehow, Eden managed to pull it off. I felt the overwhelming drive, desire and emotions that her characters felt which made The Seeking Kiss a powerful and very memorable book.

Eden Bradley certainly knows how to drag her readers into a book and keep them there. I don't recall feeling such urgent and intense emotions while reading a book in quite a while. This is my first experience with Eden, but I am certain that it will not be my last.

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas by Melissa!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Guardian's Realm: The Combat by Crystal Kauffman

Guardian's Realm: The Combat by Crystal Kauffman
Publisher: Loose Id
Genre: Erotic, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: Amidst a cataclysmic war between the Guardians, an ancient sect of gargoyles charged with policing vampirekind, and a maniacal vampire king who intends to enslave humanity for the sinful pleasures of vampires worldwide...

Desperate to locate her missing sister, Gabrielle Langston travels to San Francisco expecting to find Linna in a fanatical Goth community of wannabe blood suckers. Instead Gabrielle discovers real--real!--vampires, sexy gargoyles, and an undead prince intent on claiming her as his bride.

Though it's been over eight hundred years since a vampire killed his young wife, the scars on Davin McCain's soul still burn deep. He has risked his life for the Guardians for eight centuries, yet never again has he risked his heart. But when he rescues feisty Gabrielle, drugged by the vampires to make her insatiable, Davin is lost to the charms of the pretty, green-eyed human.

Gabrielle's dangerous idea to infiltrate the vampire coven is the only chance the Guardians have to finally locate the vampire's “Palace,” but Davin realizes while he's just found the mate he wants by his side for eternity, he could lose her in mere days.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Exhibition/voyeurism (scene includes anal play/intercourse, moresome m/f/m/m), sex in shifted form, violence.

Melissa's Review: The Combat by Crystal Kauffman is the first book in the Guardian's Realm Trilogy. Crystal Kauffman has given a new, interesting and refreshing spin on vampires. I was held on the edge of my seat by this intriguing tale which is filled with excellent characters and a unique plot.

Gabrielle may be small and frail in looks, but in heart and soul she is as strong and brave as they come. Davin is a big strong alpha male, but he is so gentle and protective of Gabrielle. Their forbidden love was as touching as their passion was breath-taking.

The plot moves along at a very fast, smooth pace, and is an emotional roller coaster from which I am still reeling. This is my first Crystal Kauffman book, and she has earned a fan with The Combat. I look forward to reading the other Guardian's Realm books and any other book written by this talented author.

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas by Melissa!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Purgatory: Rope Dreams by Eliza Gayle

Purgatory: Rope Dreams by Eliza Gayle
Publisher: Phaze Books
Genre: Erotic BDSM, Menage, M/M/F

Review Copy Purchased by Reviewer

Summary: Welcome to Purgatory! A club for every fetish…

Katie has a fetish for rope and she's had her eye on riggers Leo and Quinn for quite some time. Week after week she goes to the club and watches them tie up women from afar, while she imagines their rough rope against her own skin.

Now the two hunky men have decided to make their move. But is plus-sized Katie ready to turn her fantasies into reality?

Melissa's Review: Rope Dreams by Eliza Gayle is the first book in the Purgatory Series. This series revolves around a BDSM club, Purgatory.

In Rope Dreams, we get to meet Katie, Quinn and Leo. This is a short novella at only thirty-six pages, so there really isn't much character development, nor is there an in-depth, complicated plot. However, Eliza Gayle did a great job of building the excitement and passion to soaring heights with smooth, descriptive and captivating writing.

Rope Dreams is perfect for someone looking for a quick, very hot read while soaking in the tub, or right before bed. I always enjoy Eliza Gayle's work and look forward to reading the other Purgatory books, as well as any other title I can get my hands on.

Rated 4 Delightful Divas by Melissa!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Jackie's Journey by Ann Campbell

Jackie's Journey by Ann Campbell
Publisher: Torquere Press
Genre: Erotic GLBT, F/F, Fantasy

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: Jackie has had enough. She's tired of living the life that she is expected to live. She wants to be accepted for who she is and not what she should be. Dominique has spent her life alone and is desperate for someone to love her. Feared by most, she stay secluded in her castle home, waiting and wanting. Will this unlikely pair find everything they have longed for in each other's arms? Or will they be left forever searching?

Melissa's Review: Jackie's Journey by Ann Campbell is a very short story at only ten pages, just enough to tease. As such, there is not much to the story in the way of plot. There is, however, a passionate love scene. The scene was well-written and explosive.

I was a little surprised at the speed in which these two women meet, fall in love, and commit to one another. There were a couple things said that I did not quite understand. It was as if I was dropped into the middle of deeper story and got to see “one day in the life of” these characters.

If you are looking for a quick ten minute read to get you ready for your partner, Jackie's Journey would be perfect for you.

Rated 3 Delightful Divas by Melissa!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Accidental Love for Three by Rachel Clark

Accidental Love for Three by Rachel Clark
Publisher: Siren-Bookstrand
Genre: Erotic Ménage a Trois Romance, F/F/M, Interracial

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: Tracey's horrific car accident brings her husband, Gavin, and her best friend, Lee, to her bedside. As Tracey goes into surgery, Gavin realizes something he'd never noticed before Tracey's best friend loves her as much as he does.

Emotionally raw and physically exhausted, he confronts Lee with his suspicion and pushes her to eventually confess her feelings to Tracey. Gavin is prepared to face the consequence she wants his wife to be happy, even if that means she's with someone else. But Tracey surprises both Gavin and Lee when she explains she wants both of them in her life.

Can Tracey, Gavin and Lee find a way through confused and tangled emotions to happiness for all three?

Melissa's Review: Accidental Love for Three by Rachel Clark is a passionate, emotion filled story of a woman, her husband and her best friend. I was struck by Gavin's selflessness when he realizes that Lee is in love with his wife. He is truly a wonderful man, and probably one-of-a-kind since I can't think of many men I have ever known who would react the same way that we did in his situation.

I would have liked to have seen a little better character and plot development in this book. It was a short book, and it was good, but I felt like I only skimmed the surface of this story and the characters' emotional depths. As it is, I still very much enjoyed this story.

I really enjoyed the fact that this was a F/F/M ménage. I enjoy reading ménage romances, but almost every single one I have come across has been M/M/F. It was a nice change of pace, and one that I would like to see more of.

I believe that this is my first Rachel Clark book, and I do look forward to reading more of this author's work. Especially if she writes another F/F/M ménage and can take us deeper into the characters' head and hearts.

Rated 4 Delightful Divas by Melissa!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Faery Song Anthology by Amanda McIntyre and Isabo Kelly

Faery Song Anthology by Amanda McIntyre and Isabo Kelly
Publisher: Crescent Moon Press
Genre: Paranormal

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: In Amanda McIntyre's Tirnan'Oge, meet a man who dedicates his entire life to the love one woman- a beautiful Sighoge faery, whose very existence relies on this belief in her world.

In Isabo Kelly's Lady of the Herd, Grace Newman discovers her fate and future will change forever when she meets the gorgeous fae Diarmaid who claims she's the reincarnated spirit of a lost faery and the woman he's loved for centuries.

Monica’s Review: The first story in this anthology was Tirnan'Oge. I have read a couple other pieces by Amanda McIntyre and quite enjoyed them, but I feel this story doesn't live up to any of her other work. The plot of the story itself was just mediocre; it seemed to repeat plot points the whole time, and it felt rushed. The story itself covers over 50 years, and of course as most romances do, has a happy ending, but I just couldn't get into it. I wasn't pulled into the story and I couldn't get a good feeling for the personalities of the characters. The only character I felt was remotely relatable was old William, and well, he was only in the story a short time. This story was just ok, so I would not recommend it to others, but I do recommend other works by Amanda McIntyre regularly.

The other story in this book was Lady of the Herd, and was only slightly better than Tirnan'Oge. Isabo Kelly writes with very strong sensuality, and I liked that part the best. Just as the other story in this book, I felt rushed for time, like everything was shortened to make it all fit, yet the story itself isn't extraordinary enough to become a book alone. The characters in this story fit well together and it reminded me a little bit of Sleeping Beauty, I am unsure why though. This story was just mediocre, but the sensuality of the story was truly wonderful.

Rated 2 Delightful Divas by Monica!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Safe Harbor by Tymber Dalton

Safe Harbor by Tymber Dalton
Publisher: Siren-Bookstrand
Genre: Erotic Ménage a Trois, M/M/F, BDSM, Public Exhibition
Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: Clarisse seeks refuge from her abusive ex-boyfriend on the Dilly Dally, her uncle's old fishing trawler in Tarpon Springs, Florida. The emotional ups and downs keep you reading, wanting to see where things are going. Clarisse is an abused, yet strong woman. I found her very relatable. While the two men, Sully and Mac, are sexy, strong and willing to take care of Clarisse. I really liked the back story on the guys, making them sympathetic to Clarisse's plight. Clarisse goes through a plethora of emotions, from fear and confusion, to love and understanding. All the while, Ms. Dalton makes you feel anxious, wondering what’s going to happen next.

Rated 5 Delightful Divas by Autumn!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Ink Me by Robin Wolfe

Ink Me by Robin Wolfe
Publisher: Eternal Press
Genre: Erotica

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: When Marie went to a tatooist she never expected to get more than just ink. But sometimes appointments don’t go according to plan…

Marie plans to get a tattoo that’s deeply important to her and needs the perfect artist to do her ink. But at her first appointment with award-winning tattooist Paul, she realizes that his pictures in tattoo magazine profiles don’t begin to do him justice. As embarrassing as it is for her to admit to herself, she knows she’d like to get a whole lot more than just a tattoo from him… and she soon discovers the feeling may be mutual!

Autumn’s Review: Ink Me is well written and original. Marie is an interesting character, yet seemed a bit unsure of herself at first, while Paul seemed a bit domineering. But once the sparks flew, they both lit up the pages.

There was one plot point that caused a problem for me. My problem is there is no way in heck Marie would be letting Paul have sex with her after getting tattooed. I'm sorry, but that ain't happening. She would be in a great deal of pain; this made it hard to focus on the other aspects of the story.

Despite my issue with the plot, I did enjoy Wolfe's writing style.

Rated 3 1/2 Delightful Divas by Autumn!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

A Day in April, 1944 by Ursula Grey

A Day in April, 1944 by Ursula Grey
Publisher: eXcessica
Genre: Erotica

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: Numbed emotionally by the war, Lisette, a French woman working for the Resistance, shelters an American pilot during the Occupation of France. In fact, I felt, saw, tasted and experienced everything these characters did.

The book is centered on a woman, Lisette. She is lonely and hiding out from the Nazis as she tries survive the war. Lisette show courage as she struggles with very little food or clothes. She even has to fight off unwanted sex. Things are about to change; Lisette meets an American soldier, Jack, who needs safe refuge. Lisette takes Jack in, and as they say, the rest is history.
A Day in April, 1944 by Ursula Grey is a book worth reading; it will really pull you in.

Rated 5 Delightful Divas and a recommended read by Tammy!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

A Dangling Conversation by Dallas Coleman

A Dangling Conversation by Dallas Coleman
Publisher: Torquere Press
Genre: Erotic, GLBT, M/M, Paranormal

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: A one-sided conversation between a man and his one night stand takes a chilling turn when the man reveals that they're waiting for his lover to make their night a threesome. The talk gets hot when the man describes how he and his lover met, then suspenseful when he starts describing the things he and his lover have done. Will the threesome take a turn for the worse in this terror tale?

Tammy's Review: A Dangling Conversation by Dallas Coleman is like a one way conversation with an unnamed man. His thoughts take you through a love experience that leaves him wanting more and looking for his unnamed lover. I believe that the author could have brought the speaker out in the story rather than just telling the story. Considering the title and blurb, the author intended this book as such, and therefore, he did a wonderful job. It just wasn’t exactly for me, though someone else may love it.

I do wish Dallas Coleman had used more descriptions so that I could get a picture in my mind of these men and their surroundings. The speaker presents himself well throughout the story. It was clear that the experience between him and the stranger made him fall in love. The book is one sided, and the ending is a cliff hanger, but overall, I did enjoy this short story.

Rated 3 ½ Delightful Divas by Tammy!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Toy Box: Submission by Sean Michael

Toy Box: Submission by Sean Michael
Publisher: Torquere Press
Genre: Erotic, GLBT, M/M, BDSM

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: What would BDSM be without submission? You don't have to find out with this Toy Box, which explores the concept through three different couples from Sean Michael's Hammer series.

Tanny's having a bad day, but Billy knows just what Montana needs, and he gives it to his lover in Better Than Running. Meanwhile, Jeremy's day hasn't been bad, just long and full. Working at the forge on his prosthetics leaves him exhausted. Good thing Simon doesn't mind giving a little TLC. Better Than Peanut Butter finds food taking a back seat to love.

Finally, in Better Than Coffee, Jim and Marcus explore the heat that always rises so quickly between them. It's espresso day for Jim, but can Marcus offer him something even better than Jim's favorite shot of coffee?

Jae’s Review: Toy Box: Submission is a compilation of three short vignettes based upon characters in Sean Michael’s Hammer Series; it’s almost a reunion of sorts. I rather enjoyed meeting back up with these characters and seeing where they were in their relationships.

These three short scenes were merely snapshots—highly sexual snapshots to say the least—into the lives of these characters. I would venture to say that unless you have read Bent, Forged and Found, books one, two and four, from the Hammer series you’ll be quite lost as to the relationship dynamics of these three couples. That is not to say that you couldn’t enjoy Toy Box: Submission without having read them, just that you should be prepared for a lack of character development and jumping right into blatantly hot sex scenes.

My favorite out of these three stories was Better Than Coffee. I loved being able to have a snippet of Jim and Marcus’ life. Bent is, most likely, my favorite Hammer Series novel, so it makes sense that I’d like to read about those fantastic characters again. In fact, it is my fondest hope that Sean Michael will allow Marcus and Jim to star in another Hammer book; maybe a continuation of their story or a deepening of Jim’s submission to Marcus. Even though it’s been a while since I read Bent, the character development in that story was such that reading this little snippet brought Jim and Marcus to life again instantly.

If you have a favorite Hammer novel, then Toy Box: Submission will likely provide you with a sexy snapshot into the lives of your loved characters.

Rated 4 Delightful Divas by Jae!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

Cradle of Lust by Audrey Godwin

Cradle of Lust by Audrey Godwin
Publisher: Siren-Bookstrand
Genre: Erotic Paranormal

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: Julita Van Dare is grown up and ready for love. New thoughts, new hopes and new dreams consume her, but she's forced to abide by her demented sister's rules and masquerade as a child, locked away in their family's inn.

Undercover cop Shadoe Madison exists in two different worlds—he's half Native American and half wild west cowboy. With long black hair and piercing green eyes, he stands tall in his boots and buckskin. Mesmerized by the inn's strange reputation, Shadoe investigates and finds Julita in an attic room, sex-starved and desperate for freedom. Realizing there's something sinister behind this erotic picture, he decides to rescue Julita from her captivity and then fulfill all of her desires.

"I wanted to write a book about a hero who is bigger than life—a hero who's savage sex appeal is a temptation to every woman. Shadoe Madison is that man. He's tough when he's fighting crime, but rocks the world around him when he stands tall in his boots and buckskin. Careful, you'll fall in love with him!" ~ Audrey ~

A Siren Erotic Romance

Deb’s Review: Cradle of Lust is shocking just as much as it is scary. Audrey Godwin knows what it takes to make your skin crawl, your heart pound and your passion soar.

Scarlet Bay Inn holds its own mystery; one that someone wants to keep secret, even if it costs lives. I was drawn into the whole cloak and dagger feel to this book. The characters were just as mysterious as the Inn.

Shadoe is of Indian heritage. There is an interesting fact and story behind the Jade jewel that was his mother’s; spiritual and to this reviewer, interesting. He is a very captivating character that has a huge role in this book. His passion for right and wrong might just cost him everything.

As for sweet Julia, my heart went out to her. Her innocence and lost soul drew me to her. Her life, as much as it shocked me, had me applauding her strength in freeing herself. She is most definitely the heart of this story.

The secondary characters where amazing and downright scary! When Shadoe found out the Scarlet Bay Inn secret, I found myself screaming for him to run!

This book, I must admit, has its downfall. That being it was too drawn out. The plot line was amazing, but it just seemed it took forever to get to the climax of this story. But, that is not saying this was not a good book. It just means you must have patience and you will not be disappointed.

Don't read this book in the dark but most of all don't go out into the woods at night. Cradle of Lust was a spine tingling read that will have you checking your doors at night. This was my first time reading Audrey Godwin's work, but it will not be the last time.

Rated 4 ½ Delightful Divas by Deb!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer

The Blood-Vine, Book 1: Bound By Deception by Christa Paige

The Blood-Vine, Book 1: Bound By Deception by Christa Paige
Publisher: Liquid Silver Books
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance

Review Copy Received from Author

Summary: To find a compatible mate, Anna will undergo the ancient blood-rite of her people. While she hopes that the outcome is a good one, she knows a love-match is only a remote possibility. Life and death hang in the balance and she, alone, must choose her destiny. She draws upon all her courage to complete this duty but is unaware of the underlying deception which will change her fate entirely. Once her mate is revealed, her shock is replaced by an all-consuming passion.

Dimitri is starving for Anna, his hunger is relentless. Burning desire unfolds between them. His blood-lust flares out of control and combines with the overwhelming need to claim her in every way he can. Danger lurks in the shadows, though, and a spurned male waits for his revenge.

Dimitri has to win Anna’s heart and protect her from the menacing threat because he can’t survive without her. Through any means necessary, he must make sure nothing stands in the way of their bonding.

Anna is his blood-mate and he will never, let anything or anyone take her from him.

Jae’s Review: Bound by Deception is the first book in the Blood-Vine series by Christa Paige and leads us on a short journey through a unique vampire world. I enjoyed the characterizations employed by Ms. Paige; each character was truly distinctive. The male characters had their own unique paranormal gifts and every character, male or female, had a distinct personality.

There were times that I felt like I had come into the middle of a series, rather than starting with first book. There are many things left unexplained and, at the time I was reading, I felt I should already know the information and had missed it somewhere along the way. My guess, and my hope, is that this information will be revealed in subsequent installments of this series.

Anna was not a character that I immediately fell in love with; she had a bit of growing up to do in this story. By the end, however, I could appreciate how far Anna had come and I definitely want to hear more about her in the future as well. Dimitri, now there is an alpha male character to fall in love with! He was charming, take-charge, and forthright and just all around loveable from the very beginning.

The story flow was quite good. There were a few areas that seemed to slow the story down, however these were mostly in areas where the author was explaining the world in which the reader had entered. Nothing slowed or intruded upon my enjoyment of the story and I was compelled, by the storyline, to continue reading from page to page.

The plot line was intriguing and well developed. I am very interested to see which character we get to hear about next. I’ll definitely be on the look-out for book number two in the Blood-Vine Series.

Rated 4 Delightful Divas by Jae!

Have Your Book Reviewed

Become A Reviewer
