Crystals

Crystals come in many colors, shapes and sizes. There are many good books out that will give you what Chakra (energy center) the crystal works best with and also will tell you the properties. It is good to get a quartz crystal to use as your "Master Crystal". Any type of quartz is very powerful and often can enhance the properties of the other crystals and stones you already have.

If you look in your jewelry box you may be surprised to learn that you already own some crystals. Diamonds and other precious stones all have properties that work at their vibrational level. Scientists are not really sure why or how they work however, those of us who have worked with them for years know that they do!

Be sure to cleanse them by putting them in a sea salt water bath or outside in the weather for 24 hours. I also like to use an amethyst geode which is like a vacation for your crystals when you put them inside for a few days.

Carry them or place them near you so they will take on your energy. The more you use them the better they will work. You don't really have to know what exactly they do because if you are attracted to that particular stone then it is probably something that you need. A note on stones you take a dislike to: they may resonate with some buried emotion or fear and it can be beneficial to work with them to clear whatever that may be.

A good starting set would be the quartz for your Master crystal and the chakra stones. There are 7 main chakras which correspond to the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, lavender/blue or violet. So there are many stones that work with each one. By having these 8 crystals you will cover the basics. Then as you get comfortable and gain knowledge you can search for others that you feel you may need. I find that stones come to me all the time especially when I travel. I just "know" that the stone wants to come home with me.

You can use a pendulum if you are not sure to dowse whether the stone is one you would like to work with or if you like it then get it within your budget of course.

This is a fascinating area of esoteric work and the stones can be decorative as in jewelry or ornaments or in the natural state which is attractive also. As you work with them you will become more comfortable and knowledgeable. It is good to keep a journal to help you guide yourself and your usage of the crystals. It can be as simple as jotting down which one you are working with or a combination and what happened or really becoming detailed in your experiments. Have fun and enjoy while getting the benefits of their vibrations.

Indomitable Spirit

Indomitable Spirit - I have heard those words throughout my lifetime from accolades given to certain heroes or descriptions of persons of note in history. I really never knew what it meant in terms of real life. Of course, you can look it up in the dictionary however, I don't know about you but I really need to experience something to truly understand the meaning.

My Aunt Marie was diagnosed three years ago with a recurrence of cancer. She has been a source of wonder and pride for her entire family because she refused to give up.
She continued to plan for the future and took each step that she needed to continue living her life to the fullest which included helping others through her church, her faith and her example.

She is the living, breathing example of what the words Indomitable Spirit really mean!

I can now see how this country came to be. If the founders had half of this spirit that my Aunt Marie has manifested, then I am surprised we didn't take over the entire world as our Manifest Destiny!

I honor her and her spirit. I know when her time comes she will meet it with grace and love. I am sure they are waiting on the other side for her with shouts of "Great Life!". She is the yardstick against which I measure myself. I ask for your prayers that when her time comes she will pass quickly without turmoil. I love you Aunt Marie!

Crystal Chakra Class

Based on the book/workbook set of Philip Permutt designed by Linda McCann this class is a good way to begin or continue your journey working with Chakra energies and using Crystals to facilitate that work. The culmination of this particular class will be a trip to the Rock Shop in NH on June 27th! Very exciting. Speaking for all of us, we have all made much progress and come to understanding of the different energies and the myriad ways to utilize them. There is no wrong way and we have enjoyed it and had fun. Great way to meet people of like mind also.

Our Journey

I read this recently and wanted to share it because it gave me one of those "AHA" moments...

All of us, carers and cared for, are on a journey whose destination we understand only dimly:

We know we are searching for something yet the nature of the thing we seek eludes us. On this strange journey, in this tantalising search, we often feel lonely and bemused, in need of guidance, encouragement, companionship. Not always knowing what we are asking we reach out for the help of others.

We all feel that urge to know. Many of us are searching for something larger than ourselves or significant meaning to our life. We can give meaning to our lives by simply reaching out in whatever way is possible for us giving and receiving help. Even a small gesture may make a huge difference in someones life. We can never see the ongoing consequences of all that we do especially as Light Workers so I want to leave you with one thought : Any good thing you do, no matter how small is valuable and nourishes the Light. Keep stepping out in faith!

Reiki

Reiki is pure Universal energy. This ancient practice which Dr. Usui rediscovered and brought back to the world allows the practitioner to utilize certain sacred symbols, attunements, intentions by the placing of hands on the body or through "sending" which defies Man's concept of time/space. Reiki works through those energy centers known as "Chakras" and also on past, present and future.

Since we know that everything is made up of energy, this is similar to getting a "transfusion" of energy in pure form. We cannot consciously direct it. We can have the intention or knowledge of where the person(s) may need Reiki however, Reiki goes where it will. At times there are deeper levels which the Reiki is attracted to so in this way overrides our thoughts/intentions and goes where it is most needed.

When working on dis-ease in the body we have to take in the holistic picture. Sometimes the person has life lessons which have been chosen prior to coming to this life and this can be very frustrating to all concerned since we don't always know what they are or why. Other times dis-ease is based on that person's way of thinking as taught in childhood or by life experience. So those simple words "Change your mind, Change your life" can have a profound effect on releasing the dis-ease process. As always there are lessons for the practitioner and the person receiving the Reiki. We do not know how it will manifest in the person's life. There are never any failures as Reiki is perfect. A good rule for the person needing the Reiki (and who doesn't?) is knowing that it will work on some level and it may not always be evident immediately. Be open and accept. The more Reiki you can accept the more powerful the energies become as each time the energy is directed toward that goal it "opens" the pathways for more profound experiences.

What a blessing for us to have access to this pure form of energy!

Affirmation

As you begin your day, an affirmation is a good way to choose the direction in which you will work through the lessons.

Looking in the mirror at yourself and speaking directly to yourself also helps "implant" whatever the focus of the affirmation is.

Here are some examples and you can also write your own. I usually type them up and paste them on the mirror or on the refrigerator where I will see it several times throughout the day.

Examples: I now release all negative, limiting patterns, behaviours and beliefs.
I AM guided and inspired by my higher self. (The I AM is the most powerful combination of words and if you recall God gave his name as I AM).

Say the affirmation out loud and look into your eyes. Also, say it to yourself during the day.
I personally say it for as long as I need to until I believe it without question.

Affirmations are a wonderful way to give something loving and powerful to ourselves each day and it only takes a few minutes!

May 1st - May Day! This is a time for renewal, festivities and celebration! In my mind, this seems to be the turning point from the letting go of winter to the coming of spring/summer. In the past the Maypole was set up and twined with long ribbons while people danced around it. Somewhat of a phallic symbol and represented Spring & fertility. I am sure many a new life was brought forth 9 months later!

We also celebrate Cinco De Mayo (the 5th of May) which is primarily a Mexican regional celebration of the battle of Puebla in which the Mexican army defeated the french forces. It has been absorbed into American culture as a time of partying and enjoying all food/drink mexican.

Finally, we have Memorial Day at the end of the month which as you all know is our celebration of to commemorate those who have fallen in battle. Waterloo, NY is officially credited as the birthplace although during the Civil War there were many organizations to decorate and care for the graves so there is some controversy there. A red poppy can be worn in rememberance of those we have lost on the fields of battle. They have given the ultimate to preserve our way of life throughout the ages.

May is an eventful month and gives us the full spectrum of human emotion. The word that comes to my mind is thankfulness and appreciation for all these things which make up our society and allow us to express ourselves in hopes of a better future.

Color and Vibration

Colors each have meanings beyond what you see. They are a vibration of the light and each also have a corresponding musical note so each picture is a song; meaning it is expressed and perceived by notes which are created. If this life is an "illusion or dream" then we "see" the vibration as a color and "hear" it as a song or musical composition.
On the OTHER SIDE we may "see" the art differently or experience it vibrationally as a song. Angels communicate with vibration. Energy is always vibrating so when a song or work of art is created we can see it being expressed it many ways and feel it through our senses.
When you look at a picture it is communicating on many different levels:
1) Our own perception of sight
2) Through the vibration of the musical note on a subliminal level
3) Spirit of intention which manifests as the creation

So, if we dissected the painting, so to speak and wrote down each note would we have a musical composition and what would it sound like?

Friends

FRIENDS

Most people feel that you can't choose your family, however you can and do choose your friends. They can become closer than family to us.

Friends are a gift to ourselves. They share our lives, listen to us and counsel us to the best of their ability as to what to do next as we experience whatever life throws our way. They share our joy and our pain. They are the mirror that we hold up to ourselves in order to grow and become what we are meant to be in this lifetime.

Friends seem to be an innate need in us. One of the first things a child does when going out in the world is to incorporate friends into their life. How do they "know" enough to do this? It seems to be a basic innate instinct for humans to seek outside contact and sharing of our lives. Sometimes those "friends" come in the form of animals. Upon observing young children and even babies, they seem to instinctively be attracted to other children and reach out to them by smiling, talking and touching. When they are old enough to go to play group, pre school or school one of the first things they do is choose friends. They usually are willing at first to be friends with everyone. Later on that gets distilled into those who make some sort of "connection". Children do not usually make judgements based on what the person is wearing, their color, background etc. They are open to new experiences and usually accept at face value those who come into their sphere.

Each person that comes into our life may not be in it forever. They come when we need them and sometimes as we change and grow that friendship may fall away. We should honor and appreciate the time we have together.

In order to attract and maintain a friendship, you have to be willing to be a friend too. Any relationship requires some sort of work. Putting out the effort to spend time together, listen to each other and help each other is a good way to maintain such a valuable relationship; also remembering that if we go that extra step and reach out we will be rewarded with the regard & caring of a friend.

Tarot

Tarot cards offer an infinite variety of "messages". Each card depicts a "picture". At first glance, and perhaps using the name of the card you may feel you know what the indication or direction is. There are many layers or levels of knowledge for the cards. Colors, symbols, numbers etc. all have deep occult meanings. We can learn more about these through research and our own intuition. Even with many years of "reading" them, new meanings may emerge as we grow in knowledge and skill.
In my mind, Tarot cards are "pages" from a sacred book. As you work with this energy and the cards your interpretation of them will evolve. Each person is unique and so too is their reading from the Book of Tarot.
The cards are a strong indication, based on the person being read (and their energies), of what the future may hold. The future is always changing based on a myriad of decisions that each individual makes at any given moment. The future is not written in stone so if you have a reading and do not like the indications You can change that probable outcome by changing your mind and working towards a new goal.
I myself am always amazed at how accurate the cards are and I always counsel that they are to be used as a "guide" towards a better future.
I use many tools when doing a reading. Most of what I do is based on HUNA and Reiki with a Shamanistic viewpoint. I read the cards with these philosophies in the back of my mind and use whatever tools they afford for the benefit of the person being read.

WHALES

I recently read an article about Whales as record keepers. I had heard of this before and actually had a quite interesting regression in which I was a whale. They see differently than we do, are sentient and can live to be hundreds of years old. No one really knows for sure how old they can live to be, although once identification of tail patterns has been made there is evidence of some being over 200 years old! My feeling during the regression was 500 years! Living so long allows them to have this accumulation of memories so this is how they became the record keepers. The ocean they swim is synonymous relating to the Universal mind so they are always "connected".
Whales communicate by "singing" which is very similar to one way the Angels communicate. Each song is individual and unique. It brings to mind that we all sing our own "songs" too. The song of your life' s work contributes something unique to the world we live on. If the Whales and Angels raise the "vibrations" so too can we. We are all related in the fact that we are Light Workers.
We each have our own gifts to share. We also are "record keepers" being the sum of all lives lived here and on the other side. So, continue your work as it has great meaning.

Reiki Intention

For those of you with Reiki my suggestion is to work with the HSZSN and send out Reiki on a continuous basis throughout the day to those who may need it. This can be done in the morning or if you don't remember do it in the evening. You may be surprised who will pop in to your mind. As a Reiki person you are most likely aware that you receive as you are sending. A continuous flow throughout the day is a blessing for all of us.

Of course, if you are like most Reiki people I know you have a "list" and send Reiki to those people. Try the intention of continuous flow. You will be pleasantly surprised. Please do not forget the earth or the beings on and around it especially at this time in history.

Reiki can also be sent to "situations". For example: an upcoming interview, hospitalization, family get together. I always ask that the energies for any kind of situation are harmonious.

Remember you are only limited by your imagination and intention is the KEY to everything. Don't worry about getting anything wrong or interfering as we can also have the intention of using Reiki for the highest good for all concerned.

New Year

Many of us are facing some tough times as residual energy from last year. As difficult as it may seem we all need to try to be as positive as possible. Adversity makes us stronger and is indicative of a lesson that we need to learn, whatever that may be. We will look back at how we have grown from the experiences of our lifetime. Negativity crops up daily. All we can do is have faith and try to redirect and focus on the positive. Every situation has some positive aspects. You are a strong, resourceful individual who will flourish and grow in these times.

As part of the Universal mind our thoughts become the direction that our lives, country, world events etc. move in. Keep them moving forward and focus on the good. We can be a guide and influence for the good. Our thoughts are powerful and energy flows where attention goes.

The sense of belonging.

Each person is looking/searching for something larger outside themselves to give meaning and answer the age old question of "Why are we here"? Some people "join" a religion, group or choose a philosophy to live by. Others get lost in "medication", displacement activities etc. It makes them feel as if they are larger than their humanity which is bound by the parameters of the flesh. They are all searching ( a lot of times unconsciously) for the "sense or knowing" of belonging.
Do we really know why or how we came to be here? We think we have some of the answers and what is right for one may not be right for the other.
The insight that I have gotten on this issue is that we are each called in our own way. We are unique. Whenever I contemplate the amazing variety that is this earth and the Universe around us, I feel that we have been "called" to our work exactly in the right way ultimately using our own individual combination of talents. We all manifest gifts if we care to find out what they are and begin to work with them.
We are but one facet of the Universal Mind. Do not judge your worth and the value of your contribution against what others are doing. We are all a piece of the puzzle. Keep searching, trying new things on to see what "fits" and always try to keep moving forward.
Our efforts may seem to go unrewarded or unnoticed but remember that each effort is a valuable one in the big picture. We will not all become famous in man's world, however whatever we contribute adds meaning to the whole. With that we should be content.
