When someone we care about wrongs us one of the hardest things to do is to forgive them wholeheartedly. And when I say wholeheartedly I mean forgiving and forgetting. I heard a really great message the other day entitled "letting go and moving on" that was very timely. Now without getting on a soap box, the lesson was very simple. When you're wronged and someone apologizes to you for that wrong you should accept that apology and let it go. We miss our future blessings when we hold grudges because it keeps us stagnant. Its just a thought...

Let's talk never ends well

So I had "the talk" early this morning and of course it didn't end well but I honestly wasn't surprised. All the cliché relationship lines raced through my head ...actions speak louder than words ...you get out of something what you put into it ...never make someone a priority who only makes you an option ...etc. I think I had made peace with it a long time ago, it was just about getting closure. I'm still trying to shake that dumb feeling when I think about how I put myself out there or when actions already told me what I needed to know. I'm not even sure how I got myself in the position in the first place. I'm always impressed with the things that are said during "the talk" that should've been said long before that could've possibly changed the outcome. Now I think the part I don't quite understand is the "let's be friends" part. I think towards the end of relationships one person has already placed the other in a position of just a friend before the other party is aware of it. They want to continue on with life as if the new position is suppose to sit well with them. They're suppose to be ok with seeing other people while they get demoted to the person you get around to when they have nothing else to do. That friend thing is tricky and I think both parties should go their separate ways for awhile to get past the emotional attachment part and see what's left after everyone's gotten past the hurt. But expecting someone to be your friend soon after is selfish and going to be more stressful. Needless to say, life is short and we only get one. A life without love is a life wasted. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Fat Kids Clubs meeting this morning at the Social House, and I had such a good time. The breakfast was so jammin but a lot of times its the company that makes things so much better. FKC is something I'd encourage you to start with your friends. It just a name and not meant to offend, but food does bring people together. Life can be so hectic and draining sometimes and its good to have an outlet or a little time to forget about all that. Love the FKC, ill try to remember to post our locations and our eats in the future.

HAD A MOMENT

Ok, so I hadn't been to the gym for about 3/4 days and went yesterday but really half a**'ed it so today I was planning to pay my dues. I get to the gym, find a great parking space in the front, get out & hit the key lock but the door doesn't lock. Odd. I put the key in the door and it wouldn't lock so I put the key in the ignition and turned the key. Nothing. I looked at the car the car looking back at me,smh. My battery was dead. Luckily, one of the guys I see in the gym had some jumper cables. So as we're trying to get the car jumped I'm starting to notice more and more women walking past and they all seem to give me the disappointed face as they notice what's going on,smh. We eventually get the car started and I offer to take them to lunch. They both declined and told me not to sweat it, people today have forgotten how to help each other out. It was real cool of them. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the gym but rushed off to get a new battery with no plans of turning of the car until I got to the shop.
