ReviewGist just shifted across the country from Gurgaon to Bangalore. Bangalore being by far the biggest startup hub in the country, we hope our new location will help us move much faster.

ReviewGist is also exploring new frontiers in our technology and business and we are looking to join hands with some brave folks to work with us.
Specifically, we are looking for smart engineers with a couple of years experience and business development guys - preferably with some experience in eCommerce. If you are interested do drop us a line at (info AT cobaan DOT com).

Even though we haven't pushed out anything new on ReviewGist for a while, we have been quietly hacking away on some exciting new stuff - some of which we will start making public by the next week. Do stay tuned.

After a long hiatus, we are back on the blog. And if it's any compensation, we are also rolling out tons of new stuff with this release:

First of all, and due to popular demand we have rolled out ReviewGist India . ReviewGist India brings the same ReviewGist experience, but now targeted to Indian customers. We also currently provide prices from some of the leading on-line stores and would be ramping up on almost all of them shortly.

Secondly, our comparison interface now is totally revamped and with a very helpful auto-complete feature. Comparison, as we recently figured out, is one of the major activities indulged into by shoppers on-line. Consequently, our comparison interface also graces our home page for easier access.

Thirdly, our search page now starts with a simple recommendation interface. The recommendation interface is designed to give you quick options to the most common shopping queries expressed by on-line shoppers. So incase you are looking for something like "a digital camera under $200 with good video capabilities" just head out to our recommendation page here and find some quick options.

Last but not the least, we have a brand new logo. The blue-orange (which some users were kind enough to describe as 'jarring' ) has given way to a more subtle black-blue. Keeping with it we have also tweaked our theme to suit.

Apart from the above we also have tons of small changes which we keep rolling out on a weekly basis. Do check ReviewGist out and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Pink is in

....well at least for now. With valentines just around the corner, shopping will be taking on shades of pink.

While the Apple iPod Nano Pink seemed to be the obvious choice for her, for him, may we suggest the Garmin iQue 3600 - the stunning GPS handheld should appeal to every gadget freak and geocaching enthusiast.

Nintendo Wii

Practicing sword fighting, or polishing your backhand, hitting a home run and watching the ball swirl over the crowds... Yeah... that is what the Nintendo Wii allows "a highly immersifying gaming experience".

Controllers like Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii have added a whole new dimension to gameplay, thanks to their motion sensing abilities. Although Playstation 3 has motion sensitive controller as an add-on feature, Nintendo has developed a complete console solely focused on this new aspect of gameplay. For everyone who can’t get enough of Will Smith, reruns of “I am Legend” are a way out. A neatly packaged sci-fi flick, it’s to the brim with Will Smith.

With DVD Players and Home Theatre Systems the home movie phenomena has really caught on. They are also our brand new additions at ReviewGist. If nothing but the best will do for you, check out the pricey Bose’ and high end Denon’s.

Now how trustable are these reviews, may be the kid is just carried away by its sleek and cool look and the gadget freak is too techie to comprehend. Asus EEE 4G PC

Easy to learn, Easy to work, Easy to play - The Asus EEE PC is all of this, and if that is not enough then at around $400 a piece is also Easy on the pocket.

The EEE PC seemed to be designed from the ground up for the lowest common denominator of computer users - so out goes all the heavy gaming gear, huge hard drives and turbo processors and in comes a small but sufficent 7" display, tiny but sturdy 4GB solid state drive and a nimble Celeron processor. It's definitely not much but if your computer use revolves around using basic office productivity apps and online communication apps then this is just what the doctor ordered.

We collect reviews from numerous sources online and enable quick opinion searches like “cameras with good video”. A comparison chart helps you get a overview on how different sources comment on your range of cameras and finally we give you a detailed breakup of how different sources have rated each product.

However, if you are a professional photographer searching for that perfect lens or an art connoisseur looking for those ideal tones in your hdtv, you might still have to go dig through a ton of reviews, for everybody else, we are hoping, there will be ReviewGist.
