How many of you have heard a phrase called Boxing Day.Many of you must have thought that boxing day has something to do with boxing,sadly the pharse Boxing Day has nothing to do with Boxing or fighting.

Actual orgin of the phrase comes from the fact that first day after christmas is normally called Boxing Day(Dec 26).Dec 26 is called as Boxing Day because it is the day on which christmas present boxes are opened and served to the poor and the needy.In churches,the important boxes that contain money are opened on Boxing Day and given to poor.

You can find the usage of this phrase quiet often during test matches played after christmas.Recently we had the Boxing Day test match between Australia and India at Melbourne just because the match was played on dec 26.Dont associate the phrase Boxing Day with Fighting or Boxing it is irrelevant.

Kamal Hassan busy with the post production work and the audio launch of Dasavatharam. Admist on his interview with The Hindu for the first time Kamal discloded the plot the movie deals with . He said the movie deals with environment, science and religion.He told “Dasavatharam has a lot of Al Gore in it, and also Ramanujar.” , exploring the religion to greater length . He also sadi that the screenplay was the toughest part , as its so complex .

shreya!! shreya!! shreya!! the very name makes me feel... hmm.. well...

she was the second heroine , rather a side accompanying actress to thrisha in the debut Tamil movie called E20-U18(enakku iruvathu unakku pathinettu).A couple of years down, she is one of the greatest and celebrated actress down south in both the Kollywood and Tollywood.I knew she would go places the very first time i saw her on screen.I remember , i told my cousin sisters about what will eventually happen to her after a couple of years.I even remember talking about this to my college friend Chiru kiran.

"azhagi na azhagi askava, silumisam seyya vasthaava...."
The steps and composition was the song was awesome and true to its meaning Shreya was even better than Thrisha.That was the starting point when the angel made her entry into films.

after U20E18, Mazhai, Thiruvilayaadal aarambam,sivaji,Azhagiya tamizh magan, Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan, and kanthasaamy are her films in chronological order.

The "nee varum bothu, naan maraivaena" song from the movie mazhai, in which she dances with the blue saree in rain was simply sexy.You could not have better than that.Spellbound!!

Thiruvalayaadal aarambam was just another movie that she had to act just because of the obvious reasons.She couldn't have ignored it though not genuinely interested in it.Though the movie dint do well at the box office,her looks were mind blowing.Jus see it to believe it.

Sivaji was a very very special movie for Shreya but for which she would not have scaled to these great heights within this short span of time.The Chance to act even in a single frame of a movie with the SUperSTar is considered a lifetime achievement by many people in the industry and Shreya got this opportunity knocking at her doorsteps.She wouldn't mind.The movie was a massive hit one of the main reasons being....well am i flaunting too much about her??? well, what ever!!! she played a very crucial role in the films success.Must say that at least.

Diplomatic- what comes to your mind when you hear this word??Well, i never knew before that it would have a negative tinge attached to it before i was in college.Now, i am almost done with my engineering in computer science.What have i learned all these four years?? I have made some life-time friends, i must admit.What else?? after a deep thinking , i must say, i have nothing to say.The one thing that i learned was how being diplomatic helps, not me but people in and around.

One thing that i learned is that even though you don't like someone, be friendly with him.He knows that you are plotting against him and you know given a chance he will bury you alive, but still maintain a cool and friendly relationship with him.

is short , be a bat, party with the animals claiming that you are an animal showing your teeth, and Savor and flock together with the birds as you got wings.You are no more than hermaphrodites!!

This is not my own thoughts.I was watching this video on similarities between islam and Christianity the other day and there was this famous person called Dr.Zakir naik who was giving the speech.Just wanted to share with you.

One lady questioned, " why does islam allow polygamy??"

I thought the answer would not convince me.But with his precise statistics, i was proved wrong.
The justification he gave was:

Dr:
By nature there are more girls living in this world than boys.Even at the paediatrics age more males die than females.

me :
agreed. I had to. Convinced.so??

Dr:
You take any country, be it developed, developing or the third world countries, there are more women than the females.

me:Okay.but, in India, the census says that there are more men than women??right??

Dr:In some countries like India, due to female child infanticide...

me:ya..agreed... i had to. quite a valid point. Isn't it??

Dr:So, if every man finds a women for himself, there will be still plenty of women living who would not get married.

me:right.

Dr:either a married guy has to marry her or else she.....

me: thats too strong a word from him.I can understand and just hope you too can.

Dr: Islam says when such a situation occurs you can marry up to four wives and its not compulsory to have four wives.He insisted he had just one wive.

She has sung two songs in this very album which is also her debut album."Aag Ka Dariya" and "Na Koi Khayal" are the two songs.The famous punjabi Dj Zeus has done the composition.

Wat do you make of the title?? well These are the names of the next two Hollywood movies that the south Indian actress Shreya saran has signed in for.I told , she will go places.

The Other End of the Line:

This is a romantic comedy movie that will be released in 2008 .The cast consists of Jesse Metcalfe, Shriya Saran and the bollywood actor Anupam Kher. The film revolves around an employee at an Indian call-center.She travels to San Francisco to be with a man she falls for ,when speaking over the phone. James Dodson is the director.

Adlabs and their American counterpart MGM work on this project.The producer is none other than the American settled Indian tennis player, Ashok Amritraj, with Patrick Aiello, co-producing the project.

The filming began in the month of October 2007 in Mumbai.

What Is Cooking?:

previously titled, Stella, it has been re-christened as "What Is Cooking".Its an English comedy directed by Dilip Mehta. The film features Seema Biswas in the leading role, with Biswas in the role of a nanny. The musical god A. R. Rahman will be scoring the music for the film. Deepa Mehta, the director's sister, has penned the screenplay.Allegedly the film shooting will begin in September 2007 and the release date is yet to be announced.

For ages people of india, or tamil nadu at least have always liked heroines like Kushboo,Meena, and in the recent times mumtaz, namitha and so on.The very shape and structure of body was not a consideration then.Fat mass pumpkins like namitha (Puke on her) are still ,till date one of the celebrated actress in Kollywood(Tamil film industry).You just cant figure out where her neck ends and... anyways i cant get too much into the details.The diameter of her pot belly is equal to the radius of her thigh.Just imagine why she is considered sexy and glamorous by few sick taste-less disciples.

Jus recently , that too due to the influence of Hollywood and Bollywood, People down south have started liking and accepting slim and more normal girls into the glamourous and sexy domain.Thanks to Hollywood and Bollywood but for which Tamil film industry would have been in deep ignorance for another decade at least.This change is now very evident because of the fact that many heroines are slimming just to get more oppurtunities like pithaamagan fame Sangeetha, Shreya,and so on.

Kamal haasans daughter sruthi haasan is ready to enter the film industry.She is in a dilemma to choose between singing and acting as her career.Recently Sruthi, conducted a music show,where she performed a song for which she had herself written the lyrics.

Kamal haasan and his wife, no... girl friend... hmmm.. whatever... were on the show.Kamal enjoyed and was thrilled by shruthi's performane.He walked straight to the stage,hugged her and kissed her.No No!! Inthiralogathil naa azhagappan, well... just ignore it ... i shouldn't have even mentioned the name... just forget it...

The other latest movie of Shreya is Kandhasaamy which is yet to release .She is pairing Vikram in this movie and the script promises to be a high entertaining thriller.With a different hair-do Shreya promises to be a virtual visual treat to the audience!!

For ages , people have been talking and debating about the male dominant society; be it films, sports, or any other field for that matter.Only recently have the laws been modified to give equal importance to women and treat them as equals.The evil practices like Sati, Sambandham etc speaks volumes about what women have undergone for years together.Women were treated as slaves and were considered materialistic in many third world nations.Only recently have the status of women reached new height in many develpoing nations like india.Thanks to revolutionaries like Rajaram Mohan Roy, Lord Mount Batten ,Subramaniya bharathiyaaar, and Thanthai periyaar.I am just sticking with the indian context thereby giving only names of few Indians who have been supportive to achieve this success of the modern day women.

This is just a history now.No longer into existence even in the third world countries.There are strict and stringent rules to safeguard the women rights and their welfare.There are more no. of organizations now to defend and fight for the liberty and freedom of women.The modern day women is more stronger , powerful and smart than the yesteryears women, hiding her face,Spending the whole day in the kitchen and bedroom.The modern women has more power, she has it all to decide as to what to do, when to do and also how to do.They are still rising to new heights and already have proved that they are nothing less to a man and in fact better and efficient than men.
