The Cincinnati Police Department has refuted all reports of any major breakthrough in the Philant Johnson homicide case. "There have been no arrests in this case and there are no warrants pending," Cincinnati Police Public Information Commander Lt. Mark Briede told sources.

"We've heard that Atlanta radio is reporting it and we've gotten several calls about this. But we know nothing about it."

Because the May 2006 case is still under active investigation, the Cincinnati PD is unable to provide any additional details at this time.

"Our investigators don't discuss their investigations unless there is a major development or an arrest," added Media Liason Fran Cihon.

"Once a homicide takes place, we do a media release announcing the crime and it's investigation. But we don't do updates on a case, with the exception of situations where information is uncovered that the public could use to help us resolve the case. In those situations, we release that information to the press in hopes of driving up Crimestoppers tips."

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Cincinnati police had two people in custody and were close to arresting the person who shot Johnson to death in May 2006.

Johnson was shot and killed on a stretch of I-75 in Cincinnati after an argument between unknown individuals and members of T.I.’s entourage at Club Ritz.

The assailants open fired on a van in T.I,’s entourage, striking and killing Johnson, 26 and wounding three others.

Last night at a Spring break rap concert in Galveston, TX multiple fights broke out leading to twelve people being arrested.

According to the Associated Press, Houstons Party 93.3 KPTY's "Spring Break Party Beach Bash," turned into a chaotic scene yesterday (3/16) after a performances from Webbie, 2 Pistols, Colby O'Donnis & Lil' Wil & Lil' Keke.

Galveston Police Lt. Jorge Trevino stated that it took officers almost 4 hours to clean up the mess after the fights took place on the beach.

Four officers were initially assigned to patrol the concert but due to the break out, the entire on-duty force was called in. No one has reported injured so far.

Webbie's Savage Life 2 climbed to number 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart this week, backed by his single "Independent." 2 Pistols continues to have success with his single "She Got It," which features T-Pain, from his debut album Death Before Dishonor.

Sheriff: Kansas woman sat on boyfriend's toilet for 2 years; didn't want to leave bathroom

WICHITA, Kan. - Authorities are considering charges in the bizarre case of a woman who sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years — so long that her body was stuck to the seat by the time the boyfriend finally called police.

Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said it appeared the 35-year-old Ness City woman's skin had grown around the seat.

She initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.

"We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital," Whipple said. "The hospital removed it."

Whipple said investigators planned to present their report Wednesday to the county attorney, who will determine whether any charges should be filed against the woman's 36-year-old boyfriend.

"She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body," Whipple said. "It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself."

He told investigators he brought his girlfriend food and water, and asked her every day to come out of the bathroom.

"And her reply would be, `Maybe tomorrow,'" Whipple said. "According to him, she did not want to leave the bathroom."

The boyfriend called police on Feb. 27 to report that "there was something wrong with his girlfriend," Whipple said, adding that he never explained why it took him two years to call.

Police found the clothed woman sitting on the toilet, her sweat pants down to her mid-thigh. She was "somewhat disoriented," and her legs looked like they had atrophied, Whipple said.

"She said that she didn't need any help, that she was OK and did not want to leave," he said.

She was reported in fair condition at a hospital in Wichita, about 150 miles southeast of Ness City. Whipple said she has refused to cooperate with medical providers or law enforcement investigators.

Authorities said they did not know if she was mentally or physically disabled.

Police have declined to release the couple's names, but the house where authorities say the incident happened is listed in public records as the residence of Kory McFarren. No one answered his home phone number.

The case has been the buzz of Ness City, said James Ellis, a neighbor.

"I don't think anybody can make any sense out of it," he said.

Ellis said he had known the woman since she was a child but that he had not seen her for at least six years.

He said she had a tough childhood after her mother died at a young age and apparently was usually kept inside the house as she grew up. At one time the woman worked for a long-term care facility, he said, but he did not know what kind of work she did there.

"It really doesn't surprise me," Ellis said. "What surprises me is somebody wasn't called in a bit earlier."

Black CSI Student Put Hit on Ex-Husband

A woman who thought she was hiring someone to kill her ex-husband gave an undercover police officer $3,000, a weapon and pictures to do the job, authorities said.

D'antonette Burns, 34, (above) was arrested Monday on a preliminary felony charge of conspiracy to commit murder, Indianapolis police said.

Burns, a forensic science student and full-time employee at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, was studying to be a crime scene investigator, WRTV-TV in Indianapolis reported.

An undercover investigator met Burns Aug. 6 after hearing that she wanted to hire someone for a killing, police said.

Over seven weeks, she met with the officer three times, making a $1,500 down payment and giving him a handgun and pictures of her ex-husband, Robert Mays, 33, police said.

Burns asked the undercover officer to kill her ex-husband and also provided pictures of his home and pictures of and directions to his workplace, police said. She also told the undercover officer, she would tell him how to cover his tracks because she was an expert in forensics.

On Monday, the undercover officer met with Burns and falsely told her he had killed her ex-spouse. She then paid him a second $1,500 installment, and she was arrested, according to police.

Burns and Mays have a 3-year-old child. Police said they think their intervention saved Mays' life.

"She was obviously serious. She had the money. She had the weapon," said Indianapolis Metro police Sgt. Paul Thompson. "She had a special type of ammunition known to law enforcement as particularly devastating 'Black Talon' ammunition, and she definitely meant business."

Students on IUPUI's campus were shocked to hear of the arrest.

"I think it's pretty surprising just because the science students I know are fairly professional," said Barbara Janiak. "We're an ethical group of aspiring scientists."

Burns was being held without bond Monday night.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have been forced to pay out more than $200,000 to a Japanese promotion company after allegedly missing a string of tour dates in the country.

World Mix Entertainment recently filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Federal Court claiming the rap trio had defaulted on an agreement to play shows in Nagoya and Okinawa in December 2006, forcing the company to cancel the gigs and refund the ticket sales to disappointed fans.

The firm demanded compensation for the Crossroads stars' contract, which asked for $25,000 per show and $10,000 per photo shoot in addition to all hotel and traveling costs, and their tour rider, which included one "big sack of marijuana", among other items.

World Mix Entertainment was awarded the default judgement and compensation of $205,510 on Friday after members Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone and Wish Bone failed to contest the suit or hire a lawyer to defend themselves against the claims.

Soul singer Angie Stone is urging African-Americans to get tested for diabetes - because it is one of the most serious health challenges facing the black community.

The 47-year-old, who was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes eight years ago, has teamed up with Eli Lilly & Co. on the F.A.C.E. (Fearless African-Americans Connected and Empowered) Diabetes Campaign to advocate screenings for the disease, which affects more than 3 million African-Americans in the U.S., according to the American Diabetes Association.

And she insists it is vital people get the symptoms diagnosed early before it is too late.

She says, "Eight years ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes after I started experiencing a few common symptoms associated with high blood sugar - including frequent urination and excessive thirst. I couldn't stop going to the bathroom, and no matter how much water I drank, I couldn't get enough.

"Despite having a family history of the disease, my diagnosis came as a shock because I didn't think I was a candidate for diabetes. Even after I was diagnosed and my doctor prescribed medication, I didn't truly take the disease as seriously as I should have. I was in denial about my condition and the importance of taking my medication, changing my diet and getting more exercise."
