Steph is the one that is scale obsessed!

I can go for days and days, even a couple of weeks, without touching the scale (Not that I have recently).

On the other hand, Steph is on that scale pert near daily. There has been more than once that she has weighed herself in the morning and at night of the same day.

One of her little tricks to get more scale time is to weigh herself, then pick up one of the cats to see how much the cat weighs. Steph can tell you how much all three of our cats weigh.Jerichohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04190325786779220020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5823200.post-29384422265937542352008-07-07T06:09:00.000-07:002008-07-07T06:09:00.000-07:00I just want to reiterate what Laura said. One of ...I just want to reiterate what Laura said. One of the underlying themes to each of your previous dieting attempts is obsession with the scale and the desire for constant, huge results. STOP IT.

Put that evil device away and only check once every week or two. You are bound to see more steady and consistent downward progress. You are letting natural weight fluctuations defeat you. Put this in perspective, at your current weight, the four pounds that ticked you off is less than a 1% deviation.

Now, keep up the great work and reclaim your health. You are going to feel soooo much better, mentally and physically.

(Pssst.. Stephanie- hide the scale)Joannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5823200.post-3607576521972151042008-07-05T00:48:00.000-07:002008-07-05T00:48:00.000-07:00I think it's best not to look at the scale too muc...I think it's best not to look at the scale too much. It's discouraging and there are natural fluctuations in weight throughout the day- before and after a large dump... water weight in the morning, etc.

I'm glad you're not letting it get to you, Jer. Keep it up.Laurahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07203599572174879299noreply@blogger.com
