Review: 18th May 2005 Grubowski's Tavern, Larbert

The gig last night at Grubowski's was enjoyed by everyone who was present, with us playing like Be Here Now era Oasis (v. slow and moody) after solo efforts from Souey and Jim respectively. 'Good Sex...' went down particularly well with the crowd as the set came to a climax.

Next up were our friends the Korovas, who went through a rip-roaring set of punk rock, with them playing several good covers such as the Coral's 'Dreaming Of You' and the Kings of Leon's 'The Bucket'.

After a good performance by the band on the night, we were sad not to get through to the final stage after splitting the judges in two. In the end, a good night was had by all so we're not too downbeat about it as I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities in the future for us to shine. Walk on

Hola! Just a quick mention to thank everyone that turned up and gave their support, the gig went well and we hope that all involved had an enjoyable evening. Hopefully everyone can turn out in numbers again this Sun (15th) at the Venue in Edinburgh as it's an extremely important gig for the band. There should be some record execs at this one so the more vocal support we have the better. Keep it up Encierro faithful!

Sunday nights gig @ Bannermans, Edinburgh

The gig on Sunday the 17th of April held at Bannermans pub, Edinburgh was a rip-roaring success, with a large turnout by the ever-faithful Encierro traveling support. We even made the on Sunday's hotlist in the News of the World which was a good sign that the band is moving in the right direction and gaining a name for ourselves. So we're hopeful that we will be playing regularly in venues such as Bannermans in Edinburgh, and are currently seeking other venues in the Glasgow area to further our appeal.

P.s. big up the Swany for all his great work with the band and the website, much appreciated mate!
