I I am glad that I have been ‘healed’ from my pimples that loved to display themselves on my face every now and then for a long time. O One of the many things I am thankful for is my mother-in-law, and that at 82 she is still healthy. She forgets things now and then (but so do we all sometimes). My father-in-law is not very healthy anymore but still kicking though. We are far from perfect in-laws, (is there one? :-D) and we aggravate each other sometimes, but whatever the future brings near and yonder for each of us, I will really miss her. I hope each of us will stay healthy for long life, meaningful and happy life.

I I am overdraft this month! Short na short. This week I have an unexpected ‘huge’ expense that is a ‘hold up’ to my savings. It means my plan to give for the missionary work in Papua New Guinea will be postponed till next month. Sigh. Wish I were rich :-D for my “help list” is long. But I am so happy and proud of myself to have helped one already. Obviously I have to help myself more first. It's only ourselves we can rely on to.

Companionship

Maybe he could not hold it anymore that my father-in-law asked all of a sudden if I ever get lonely in the house all by myself. It is wonderful to have time with one's self, in solitude where you have all the space and peace you need, but of course I yearn companionship. It's different when there is someone who will listen to you, whom you can comfortably talk and share thoughts. But I coped. Just like my mother-in-law, we find companionship in books worth reading. Books don't hear nor listen but we can learn a lot of things more than what other people can tell us, and besides, they won't disagree with you in every chance :-D. And it is in times like these that I miss my companion cats. Those bundles make me smile and laugh. I'm getting used to it, but of course I yearn to see the outside. That's soon enough, no need to get serious.

A new stand

I I was looking at stands and mounts store today just to see different TV stands that would be perfect for our lounge. And indeed, I found the most beautiful stands and mounts available in the market. For 20” to big screen TV’s, their collections are superb. Sis, (these flowers remind me of her), called me three times this morning. Well, sometimes it is nice to know where someone is going and when she's back already from her errand. She wanted to give me something, a dress or blouse or something that she said "hope will fit me". I have to visit them to see it, but I was in the middle of doing something which prohibited me to go out. So I'm gonna visit with them tomorrow. I just hope it's not that kind which was popular in the 70's which mother-in-laws like, just kidding, or it will end up again on my box for giving away, which I know benefits many.

Staying healthy

I I am controlling my diet these days, which is not bad since we ought to every day. This is my photo of the day, one of my favorites. The roses I pruned set against a green granite counter top. I love the way their varying colors are accentuated by the dark background. I don't have a heart to throw them away just yet, not until I can smell their fragrance. Even when they are withering, their still beautiful, which made me forgot the small feeling I had when one of it's thorns found its way through my thumb :-D.

Smell the roses

I It was such a beautiful clear day outside and be greeted by a refreshing lovely sight of the budding roses made it complete. I was glad I went out to breath some fresh air amidst the never ending disorder inside. It was just so wonderful to be up close with nature's beauty that even cobwebs can't mar. I didn't really notice the cobwebs, I only saw it in the picture later. I love these roses if I could just smell their fragrance the whole day. It's really amazing each different colors has different sweet smell. There is never really a busy day for every one not to stop to smell the roses. It is uplifting to any sagging spirits.

I I was wearing a white necklace in church and one of our very nice old ladies complimented after the service that it was beautiful and she liked it. It was my favorite necklace, I really liked it! But I gave it to her anyway. She was surprised and was very happy and thankful to have it. I was also happy inside, in fact grateful for the opportunity to give for had she not complimented about it, I would have not thought of giving her the necklace. I didn't mind because she is a very special lady, and I feel a bond to her. She always shares her wisdom and she's almost a real mother to me. Everything she said to me meant a lot and just what I needed when I was so down. She helped me without her knowing. There is indeed real happiness in giving and reaching out that the temporary happiness of having material things cannot compare.

S So begins my solitude here for several weeks. I am so glad and thankful that I have some friends to talk or chat to, thanks for their generous hearts and the technology we can connect to the outside world, since there is no other way otherwise I can. I am used to it, but somehow today I feel different. Why is it that I feel someone's been in the house when we left this afternoon, and even this very moment? Grrrr.. My godson's birthday

I It was small but it was still so sweet and had made him happy on his birthday. This is my godson on his first birthday without both parents. It is a shame we have to go away in order to provide for our loved ones. But I know that on this important day of his young life he was happy.
