A Korean action anime featuring robots slaughtering hundreds of diaper kids? Seriously, those little guys are called the "diaper gang". After watching this video I discovered this detail and so I wasted no time. I've already downloaded this and will probably watch it tonight or tomorrow night. League of Legends: DOTA ++

What is it?
Well, after playing it for a few matches, I can honestly say it's DOTA again.

DOTA again? Sounds shitty.

Well, it's DOTA again in the sense that if you played DOTA you will feel instantly at home here. It is different though.

Things Improved From Dota:

It's Free, no War Craft 3 install needed

A gorgeous backend complete with friend lists, better match making, in depth stats, and more things you wish Dota had

Graphical improvement, but very much a Blizzard feel to it (apparently former Blizzard employees worked on the game)

Less bullshit: Items are less confusing to build, everything's stats are easier to find.

People can reconnect if they get DC'ed

Things that made Dota suck that make LoL suck too:

Feeders still ruin a game

Leavers still hurt a game

No built in voice chat

I knew the people who made DOTA made LOL, but I didn't know that it's free. Apparently you only pay if you don't want to items, spells, heroes, etc by earning them in game. I haven't played it yet, but I'll be making another post once I have.

I've played a little bit of this. So far, I haven't seen much new content other than chopping off zombie heads and limbs with machetes, guitars, and frying pans. But if it's anything like L4D then having the free demo basically means you have the whole game.

Now that's just impressive!

We have been able to produce (at least) a 70% energy yield thus far with much smaller reactors (that is, 70% of the energy we put into making it we got back)

I have been studying the quantum + nuclear physics in depth for quite some time now, and I'm proud to say, that yes fusion works and has been demonstrated to, yes we've done that. A perfectly viable safe energy supply. Thankfully, some rare humans are determined, and the ITER project exists for this purpose, to make fusion a global possibility.

Well, as some of you guys might know, I am going through a very "Heart" breaking break-up with my girlfriend.

Long story short, I dated this girl for two years, and brought her to the Asian Festival in St. Louis, and everybody got to meet her, and told me how I lucky I was to be with this girl.

Remember, all I do is work and school. I did what I could for this girl, but apparently the prettier they are, the crazier they are and the more of a bitch they can be.

Freaking Insane!! Shows up to Brien & John's house to look for me, stocks me at work, and now is trying to constantly see me!!

Well, enough was enough. I have a very short temper when it comes to dealing with women, and my friends know how quickly I can go from happy to angry in matter of sentences.

What you are about to read is very mean, and should not be said to women, unless your me.

Apparently Drury is beginning to use Second Life as a virtual classroom. This is news to me at least. The article is kinda bland but it seems a bit progressive for Springfield. On a different note, as I am sitting in the coffee shop, next to me, there is a group of what look like home schoolers with their instructor giving them a lesson on Poseidon and Dionysus. Every one of their macbooks are tuned into Wikipedia. Hrm. I guess it's just making me think about how on one hand, I'm a little uncomfortable about the kid's blind faith in the legitimacy of the articles. Yet on the other hand, you do have the awesomeness of the self governing ability of Wiki. Any thoughts?

Windows 7 student upgrade hell

Microsoft's big launch, it turns out, was not entirely trouble-free

The $29 electronic version of Windows 7 Home Edition sold for Microsoft (MSFT) through Digital River (DRIV) doesn't seem to install properly on some 32-bit Vista machines.

Apparently the download files weren't properly packaged and when some users tried to "unload the box" they got an error that read:

"We are unable to create or save new files in the folder in which this application was downloaded"

Also, they let us preview the upcoming fall games again (this is how I played Brawl last year). The multiplayer Mario Bros definitely brings back Mario 3 nostalgia. Number one cause of death in 4 player co-op was teammates, but since teamwork is new in a Mario game, I bet those skills improve. Also played a little Spirit Tracks (only got to sample it, but I'm not sold on the train mode yet).
