Days of been breezing by like there's no tomorrow! Only 46 days until Valleyfair opens for the 2009 season! Soon it'll be in the 30's, then 20's, then it'll be May, then it'll be the countdown from 10-1, and then it will finally be opening day. Until then!<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_YeVVfegW8Vc/R4QUAVnhlDI/AAAAAAAAPeg/Vt8gx2X30-U/100_1532.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 258px; height: 171px;" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_YeVVfegW8Vc/R4QUAVnhlDI/AAAAAAAAPeg/Vt8gx2X30-U/100_1532.JPG" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Yesterday, Valleyfair updated their website with the 2009 season pass processing hours. The first day available to process your season pass is Thursday, the 16th of April from 4pm-8pm.<br />To view the rest of the hours that you can go and process your season pass, click <a href="http://www.valleyfair.com/public/tickets/season_passes/processing.cfm">here</a>. Also, I'd like to remind all non-super fans that you must get your season pass processed in order to be able to visit the park (have admission etc.), so you must do this! Also, the line for processing on opening day which falls on May 19th this year, gets very long, so I recommend going before opening day to process your pass.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.coasterforce.com/images/excaliberflodded.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 237px; height: 158px;" src="http://www.coasterforce.com/images/excaliberflodded.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />One of the latest tidbits that we've been informed about is that Excalibur's trains are on the transfer track, and testing will begin soon. We haven't heard much regarding other coasters or rides, but we do know that the Ferris Wheel is set up again, and other rides will be either be reassembled or testing this week(end)! Stay tuned for more info!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5698162026636020858-1715537290013070133?l=valleyfairzone.blogspot.com'/></div>Mangler-Matthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12690165260068173646noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5698162026636020858.post-44323422341794342742009-03-17T13:24:00.002-05:002009-03-17T13:29:54.878-05:00Cinnabon for 09<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.mark-ed.org/alwaysnew/LAP_PM_006/PM6Cinnabon.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 218px; height: 251px;" src="http://www.mark-ed.org/alwaysnew/LAP_PM_006/PM6Cinnabon.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />New for 09 food wise? Cinnabon! That's right folks, the sweet, sugary rolls sold all across the states are rolling on into Valleyfair for the 2009 season. Replacing Grandma's Bake &amp; Sweet Shoppe, Cinnabon will dominate the front of the park aroma wise, attracting in customers with its sweet scent, and even better taste! This is a shocking statement, and has not only disheartened many Valleyfair enthusiasts, but have caused protests already. A facebook group has formed which has over 100 members already, there is a <a href="http://www.cafepress.com/savevalleyfair">cafepress</a> setup where you may purchase "Save Valleyfair" merchandise and apparel, and much more. Let's hope for the best in these tough economic times. Not a location for a new haunt, or even rumored. We just happened to catch this randomly when browsing on Windows Live Local (Great site by the way!).<br /><br />Now what we can assume that if this ever could be a haunt is that it could possibly enter somewhere around Coasters/Galaxy, and share an exit with CarnEvil. The two sheds combined look to be around the size of the game warehouse, except with an added bonus! There's a space in between them which means there could be an indoor section. And for all you haunt related workers at the park, feel free to use the idea, we like it too! <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://valleyfairzone.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 15px; height: 15px;" src="http://valleyfairzone.com/forums/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />So there ya go! This new section will feature 2-3 new rumors heard from around either the park, or the coaster industry. Now let me remind you, these are just Rumors, and nothing is fact until announced, so we don't want any "Oh wow, if they posted it here, it's 100% true!", this is just a little tidbit that speculates &amp; brings up a couple rumors. So with that, let's get to it!<br /><br />The photo featured above (from Valleyfair.com) shows a building being built, or at least the foundation. that photo was taken on the 6th of February, and from some credible sources, two different buildings have their main structures, and foundations up, and are nearly complete construction wise. Now what is the building above? I for one have no idea, but we do know that one building on the construction site is apart of the expansion, and is a new eatery. Now with that, although this is nothing too special, we've heard that it will be a generic food place, serving regular American cuisine (Burgers, fries, drinks, pizza, etc.). Hopefully we'll find out the name of it soon!<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2408/34/21/1272600245/n1272600245_30268245_72.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 255px; height: 191px;" src="http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2408/34/21/1272600245/n1272600245_30268245_72.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Ah, the old Flume turnaround happened to be right here a couple months ago. And in just a few months (around 7), this could be home to a new haunted zone in the park. One of the reoccuring rumors is that there will be a waterpark haunt this year. With the waterpark nearly doubling its size with the expansion of Soak City (formerly Whitewater Country Waterpark), there will be a TON of open space for a haunt.<br /><blockquote><br />What will happen to Carnage?! They'll be too close</blockquote><br /><br />Well, from another credible source, Carnage won't be returning this year. Through the past 3 years of the Haunt, the maze has had its ups and downs, but mostly downs. Between the over-fogging issue and the near flop it had in 2008, it will most likely not be returning. We can only hope that it will get replaced with a great new haunt!<br /><br />That's all for now with "Rumor Has It!". Check back soon for more updates!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5698162026636020858-3088178332467731956?l=valleyfairzone.blogspot.com'/></div>Mangler-Matthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12690165260068173646noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5698162026636020858.post-72461235678833790622009-02-15T21:58:00.000-06:002009-02-15T22:01:18.850-06:0092 Days!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.gribblenation.com/flpics/color/jct92-natsiatka.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 325px; height: 215px;" src="http://www.gribblenation.com/flpics/color/jct92-natsiatka.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Only 92 days until Valleyfair opens to the public! 92 long . . . snowy . . . cold winter days left until Steel Venom, Power Tower, Breaker's Bay, Renegade. I went to the park today, and lots was happening! First of all, the HH Hearse has been placed outside the main gates, and was parked right next to the Share the Harvest Food Drive truck. That was one of two events that were happening in the park today. The other one being free corn on the cob from 11am-4pm. Tasty stuff!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2079.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" src="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2079.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>In Flume news, I found out from an employee (but I was hinted a while before it) that tomorrow (September 1st) will be the Flume's last day of operation. I know many are sad to see the Flume close, but on the bright side, who knows what will take its place next year!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2071.jpg?t=1220232671"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" src="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2071.jpg?t=1220232671" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />The Bumper Cars building is now closed as it takes on the transformation of the Asylum! From what I saw from behind the gates, most of the walls have been put up already. I can't wait to see if it delivers this year! Next building to be closed is the Hi-Test Arcade! Expect it to transform into the chilling Chateau Du Damne.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2125.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" src="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2125.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Across the park at the new haunt, Mr. Cleaver's Bloodshed, the "Platter Shatter" game has been closed, and walls are going up inside there for this brand new haunt. I haven't seen inside myself, but from what I've heard, it'll be on the larger side! Also, I'm gonna take a guess that the entrance to this will be at Platter Shatter, and that the exit will be behind the building using the new wooden ramp. I think that the guess is pretty spot on considering that if the entrance is Platter Shatter, then that gives a wide area for a facade (like the clown face for CarnEvil). Either way, I'm excited!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2076.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" src="http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/mattwagner22/Valleyfairzone%20Pics/DSCN2076.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />In other news, another Getaway Station has been placed right by Hi-Test Arcade. Make sure to stop by to possibly get a chance to win a vacation! More info at these stalls at the park. That's all for today, and from now on, there's going to be non-stop haunt and Flume construction. We'll keep you posted!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5698162026636020858-5170941511431352759?l=valleyfairzone.blogspot.com'/></div>Mangler-Matthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12690165260068173646noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5698162026636020858.post-79059900701791971392008-08-31T20:13:00.003-05:002008-08-31T20:27:07.034-05:00Corkscrew Loses!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.coaster-net.com/pics/valleyfair/corkscrew13_coasterclint.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px;" src="http://www.coaster-net.com/pics/valleyfair/corkscrew13_coasterclint.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Corkscrew won, err. . . lost in the latest poll.
