We have some great employees lined up; now we just need the snow to melt and the road to open. We have Ron and Jean Duncan returning as campground hosts at the Fiddlers Lake site. Jimmy and Jerry Pierson from Louisiana will be working at the Lodge. Caitlin Hurlock will be taking over the guest services and running the housekeeping. <br /><br />Our typical season opens mid-June, which is always a great time to come. Reservations are filling up quickly, but we still have vacancies throughout the summer. Call or email to check on availability.Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04743553707267120485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5672768570023927021.post-54187227387293332082008-01-03T09:20:00.000-08:002008-01-03T09:33:51.515-08:00Winter In the High Country<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_wiLhyfCWkME/R30b1dYZ1gI/AAAAAAAAAA8/a2XnI1VF8bo/s1600-h/Interior1.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_wiLhyfCWkME/R30b1dYZ1gI/AAAAAAAAAA8/a2XnI1VF8bo/s320/Interior1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5151304154015716866" border="0" /></a><br />Louis Lake Lodge is having a great winter! A few guests enjoyed the holiday season at Louis Lake. Enough snow has fallen to make snowmobiling OK - not great. Ice fishing has produced some fish and cold feet. Not much work has been done on the lodge (yet) because of other commitments. Some slash piles were burned. Old man winter took a mean streak - the water lines have frozen up, forcing everyone to haul water from the spring box. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_wiLhyfCWkME/R30cQtYZ1hI/AAAAAAAAABE/t8tNv7hhBsA/s1600-h/lodge5.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_wiLhyfCWkME/R30cQtYZ1hI/AAAAAAAAABE/t8tNv7hhBsA/s320/lodge5.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5151304622167152146" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />Enjoy the updated pictures.Louis Lakehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13888766870479981731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5672768570023927021.post-5740035455353497402007-07-26T22:21:00.000-07:002007-07-26T22:25:04.676-07:00New Squidoo LensI have just created a <a href="http://www.squidoo.com">Squidoo</a> lens for <a href="http://www.louislake.com">Louis Lake</a>. If you're looking for an adventure over a three day weekend I suggest backpacking in the Winds. Stay at the Lodge for a night, then pack up your gear and hike to Tomahawk (or any one of the numerous lakes in the area). The trailhead is only a short drive from the Lodge. Tomahawk is a nice 3.5 mile hike one way with wonderful camping near the lake. (Be sure to camp at least 200 feet from the water). The gradual uphill trail is well defined and mostly in the shade. Over the course of the trail you'll gain about 1000 feet of elevation, so it's not very steep. <br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_kszF-MCDFW0/Rq7GRh_3IZI/AAAAAAAAAIw/N3IQ29grgrM/s1600-h/DSCN3402.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_kszF-MCDFW0/Rq7GRh_3IZI/AAAAAAAAAIw/N3IQ29grgrM/s320/DSCN3402.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5093226233088909714" border="0" /></a><br />There are still cabins open in August. <a href="http://louislake.com/pages/contact.html"> Contact Louis Lake </a> to check on vacancies!<br /><br />Remember it is bear country so come prepared!Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04743553707267120485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5672768570023927021.post-26547408418784711832007-04-10T07:18:00.000-07:002007-04-10T07:39:09.744-07:00Louis Lake Lodge is preparing for 2007<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_wiLhyfCWkME/RhuhJbQ6WtI/AAAAAAAAAAs/rEV879hQvwQ/s1600-h/sheetrock2.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_wiLhyfCWkME/RhuhJbQ6WtI/AAAAAAAAAAs/rEV879hQvwQ/s320/sheetrock2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5051808590335728338" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />The new lodge building is progressing.
