School Days Flashback - Memories Revisited

I am not the writer of this post this post is written by Sanchita (I actually don’t know her)…. But this is something that touched my heart and very close to my heart… Just read it once, specially the last lines and I bet you will do the same and will fall in love with this post.

"When the school reopened in June,( I use to cry that I m not able to give chocolates in school on my birthday as it always use to reopen 1 or 2 days after my birthday)

And we settled in our new desks and benches!(First day full fighting to occupy the first bench, Choose the right partner with whom u would love to sit for the entire year, So finally Anubha aunty came out with a brilliant idea of rotation wise sitting, but alas no one could solve the fight in choosing partners specially fight among girls ;) ).

When we queued up in book depot, that our very own ORIENT BOOK DEPOT, the only book store build on water (Due to rain the first shop to go under water.) thank God they gave a promotion to the shop and lifted it up to 1st floor.
And got our new books and notes!--All the brown paper binded, nice nameplates. First thing first is to go and see all the pics of the book.

When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays, yet managed to line up daily for the morning prayers. And in the prayer meet when we r small, the seniors use to sing the national anthem faster then us which finally sometimes had led us many times to skip some of the lines in the national anthem. He he he… :)

We learnt writing with pencils, though most of us wanted to write with pens like our elder brothers or sisters. But alas!!!! Till Class 4 u have to write with pencil. Then finally one day we found out the pencil in which we were able to change the refills. Tell u guys it was a great day for me… I had bought that pencil from Bangladesh market. :)

Progressed to fountain pens and ball pens and then Micro tips!-- ah finally the day to write with pens came, though permission for fountain pens were only given, then also everyone felt great as if some promotion in life :)

When we began drawing with crayons and evolved to Color pencils and finally sketch pens! Oh wow… how can I just forget that!!!

When we started calculating first with tables. Those multiplication tables…. Uthte betthe jisko dekho sirf puchna ye table bolo, who table bolo and like puppets I use to start
5 1 ja 5
5 2 ja 10….
To tell u guys I never knew what was that "ja" in the middle, which I have realized at a very later stage that it is
5 ones are 5
5 twos are 10
God…
and advanced to Calculators, ah… what a day whenever I use to get the calculator start with 2+2=4
and now when most of us have landed with a computer in front of them!

When we chased one another in the corridors in Intervals, and returned to the classrooms Drenched in sweat! Specially guys who use to stink horribly.

When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors, Playgrounds! And just after finishing lunch start fighting for the playground. Fighting-Girls Vs Boys

When all the colors in the world, decorated the campus on the Saraswati puja! Everyone in their very ethnic dresses :)

When a single P.T. period in the week's Time Table, was awaited more eagerly than the monsoons!

When table tennis was played with Nalanda exercise books as bats!
When few played "choya chuyi"(girls) and the default game of guys "cricket" in scorching sun, while others simply chat chat and chat in the Confines of classroom! Of fights but no conspiracies, Of Competitions but seldom jealousy!

When few good girls and good boys decently go back to home just after the school gets over at 4:10! While few others had "Big Fun"... "chana chur","kulfi","ice Pepsi"," milk ice !","amra","boot" ……………………etc etc!

Gone are the days Of Sports Day, and the annual School Day, and the one-month long preparations for them.

Gone are the days of the stressful Half Yearly and Annual Exams, and the most enjoyed holidays after them!

Gone are the days of tenth and twelfth standards, those tuitions, those tensions but still enjoying and discussing the worse condition in studies to each other.

We learnt,
We enjoyed,
We played,
We won,
We lost,
We laughed,
We cried,
We fought,

When we were in those days we never realized that this is only the “Golden days” which we were spending.

When we reached college we realized the value of “Golden School Days”.

When we were in college, we never realized that this is only the “Happy College days” that were spending and now when out of college we miss those days.

No matter how busy we are, we shall never forget to live the life that still exists... "

A prankster who opened an account on a popular networking site under the name of Safeena Kapoor Khan, has been giving Bollywood’s ‘it’ couple several harrowing moments.
Strangely, not only is he leaking out very private info related to the couple, but he’s also managed to update his site with candid photographs of Saif and Kareena that were apparently taken for their personal albums. Every move of the couple in love, which neither
Saif nor Kareena would dream of sharing with anyone but family and close friends, is posted on Safeena.

A source close to Kareena said, “It was getting freaky. For instance if Saif was in London, the updated post would say, ‘Now I am in London and Kareena will join me any time. I cannot wait to be with her.’ Similarly, every account of their interaction was up for fans to see. Friends who got little worried, then called them up.”

Kareena, who’s in Los Angeles to shoot for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambahkt Ishq with Hollywood biggie Slyvester Stallone, said, “A couple of friends informed me about this person on the networking site. For the record, I don’t have any account there and neither does Saif. The first time I heard this song was when I had just started my first job - at Binary Semantics. I would like to thank you Neeraj Tiwari (One of my best friend) for this classic song.. You may think what Neeraj Tiwari might have done in this song??? Let me tell you “ It was a freezing night in my previous company Binary Semantics and I was a DJ type for my team in Binary… always playing good songs for my teammates.

I asked everyone to suggest me any good song to download then suddenly Neeraj entered our room with this song, I still remember he was singing this song in his beautiful voice (Roz Roz Aankhon Tale…. Ek Hi Sapna Jale) and we all positioned our finger in to our ears… :-) I asked him to tell me the song detail and then I downloaded this beautiful song… After that this song has become one of my favorite song….. It feels just like a long time dream come true today. Finally I got a chance to watch Taare Zameen Par and I know I am so late. The only word that comes from my mouth after watching this movie is WOW…. Really every child is special (I am also in this list :))…. The film is a touching piece that will be considered a classic. It's a gem that will not be forgotten. Aamir khan delivered a solid message to everyone by this amazing movie and I will always love and respect Aamir for this classic. I am not a big movie freak but there are some movies which I would love to watch forever. Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, Rang De Basanti Chak De and Taare Zameen Par are my all time favourite.

Darsheel Safari is just like a new Diamond for Bollywood. So much talent at such a small age...This is one of the best child artist performances ever. The way he controls his emotional scenes is just amazing. The ‘Maa’ song was picturized very well and you can see Darsheel Safari’s talent in this song. Whenever it plays in the background, I bet every viewer out there got moist-eyed. The title track is another standout. Every song was magnificently picturized by Aamir.

I wish I had a teacher like Aamir Khan who was so involved and concerned about his student’s. It is truly a masterpiece – one of its kind where such a true picture of parents’ generally high expectations are revealed. They associate their respect in society with the caliber and intelligence of their children. They do not understand that no all children are blessed with one quality. Not all fruits can be mangoes.. Some children have the art of singing, some for literature and NOT science! A few might grow up into great scientists but not all - for God’s sake. Parents these days do not realize and understand their children’s feelings and just feel that their child should always rise to the TOP. The movie conveys a firm and practical message to all such parents and must have sure made them realize and change their behavior towards their children.

Gold Medals are meant for people who have shown great achievements. Though till date I haven’t had the pleasure to receive any but I am happy to speak of a close and known person. She has recently received a Gold Medal from Vanashtali Vidyapeeth for securing the first rank in B.B.A. an immensely talented girl. I have known her since my childhood though we were out of touch for quite some time but lately their family has come back in our city. You might anticipate her intelligence since I requested her to help me out in giving a few Mathematics’ lessons and I must say that they have helped me a lot. All the more I found some good friends through her (she Knows whom I talking about) and I cherish them a lot and so I am all the more thankful for giving me such nice friends. Friends are jewels to be treasured forever and an addition to that is highly appreciated.

"The hottest love has the coldest end" Titanic (Movie) has proved this line. If I were to pick five of my top favorite historical movies, I think the hit saga Titanic, which made its debut in 1997, would come in close to the top. The most Amazing film made ever (My Personal view). Since the first time I ever watched it (I was only 10 year old) I found myself close to tears (Because I am very emotional person) With the very thought of the actual incident which might have occurred I shudder and feel extremely sad how the 'Wonder Couple' of Jack Dawson and Rose spent their few moments of love together which ended with a great sacrifice from Jack for his beloved Rose. Thinking about the brave yet unfortunate end of Captain Murdock is yet another painful act along with hundreds dying in this Ship - Iceberg Collision.

For me and the most of people main attraction is the actors; Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, playing Jack and Rose. A special mention of Kate Winslet is essential if I am writing this blog since in my opinion she looks extremely beautiful. Speaking as an Indian I would put her among likes of Madhu Bala – An epitome of Indian Beauty. I usually don't get overly emotional at movies, but watching entire families torn apart, some washed away and never seen again, always has me bawling by the time it's over. I think the most gripping part of Titanic is that it was *real. * It doesn't matter how dolled-up the costumes or sets may be - this really happened, and people died just like this.

The making of Titanic is memorable with both positives of passion and royalty and negatives of pain and sacrifices. The making of the movie again is memorable and one unique movie among others. Rohit Tripathi

Delhi NCR shudders at dawn - Earthquake of 4.3

I am here again but to describe a small natural calamity which happened in the Delhi NCR region. For those who have been reading my blogs and have been my precious readers I would like to share this small news. Delhi NCR region faced an earthquake this dawn – Monday 26th November! The Richter scale measure showed 4.3 hit. Around 4.48AM I sat jolted when I saw things shaking. The window panes started shaking noisily and we ran out to see what happened. As we went out there were many people outside already and it was all cool as always in a few minutes but the people stood shaken till quite sometime and went back to sleep with a shudder. Though this is a natural phenomenon in Gurgaon specially since the city keeps feeling such low on Richter scale tremors but the high-rise building residents as usual felt the tremors a little more! Thankfully we all are safe and I am all here to write my experiences of this EARTHQUAKE to you !! Keep in touch Readers.

A Muslim who married his 15-year-old daughter and made her pregnant had to be rescued from angry villagers in the Indian state of West Bengal, police say

Afazuddin Ali, 36, has five children - three of them daughters. A few months ago Ali married his eldest daughter, telling his wife Sakina that Allah had ordained him to do so. Not convinced by his story, his angry neighbours in Kasiajhiora village nearly lynched him for what they said was a clear case of incest.
Marriage within the nuclear family is forbidden in Islam.

'Divine sanction'

"He is a deeply religious man and will never lie in the name of Allah," Sakina told a court in the northern district of Jalpaiguri.

"I agreed to his marriage with our eldest daughter when he invoked divine sanction," she said.

But this story has failed to impress the other villagers.

"We didn't know she was married so when we confronted his wife, she told us about the bizarre marriage six months ago," Sheikh Ramzan, a village leader at Kasiajhiora, said.

"We wanted to smash his head, we were so angry."

When the angry mob attacked Ali on Sunday, a police team went to the village and rescued Ali and his wife.

The couple were produced before a magistrate in Jalpaiguri on Monday.

But as the lower court has no criminal jurisdiction, Ali and his wife were released.

"The police have not lodged any specific charge against Afazuddin (Ali) and my court has no jurisdiction over criminal matters, so what can I do," sub-divisional officer Atanu Roy said.

Angry villagers say that is not good enough.

"The girl is a minor, so at the very least her father should face criminal charges for marrying a minor," villager Sheikh Ramzan said.

Ali and his wife have not returned home because they fear a fresh attack from angry villagers.

They are staying in Jalpaiguri town at the moment.
