I'm so excited to encounter this camera on the coming days...oh wait.. is this a camera?
oh no. its a phone! Now I'm expecting a lot of features on it that will make me wow. Samsung made me wow a lot of times already and I'm very interested to have this one in my pocket hahaha. Look on some details 12 megapixels, Xenon flash and power LED, wifi, GPS, auto focus tracker and a feature that can shoot in wide angle. oh wow.

On the 26th of the morning, I will be in Chinatown to test this new baby, and I'm looking for two tech fans and photography fan beings to join with me to test this and have a tour in Chinatown yay!! , yeah it will be fun! Zero in exhibits the Philippine Photomedia at Ateneo Art Gallery

Ateneo Art Gallery joins the Zero in series of exhibit, and this time they feature the Philippine Photomedia. Use and expand the contemporary photography to different kinds of form and installations like what I like to describe as classic to modern, the difference of the original and the substitute, food art comes to life, twigs and the mystery of it, name your trapo basahan and from photo to traditional paint art. The exhibit is open til December 15, 2009. This exhibit is recommended especially to photography enthusiats and hobbyist, if you wanna know and learn that photos can do more.

Jozu Kin restaurant @ Burgos Circle, Global City

Me and some foodie bloggers and monsters just discovered a new foodie haven in the new P. Burgos circle located in Global City. When I saw venue, it reminds me of Eastwood City or maybe El Pueblo. Lots of restaurants can be found there and the one we discover for a good Japanese food is the Jozu Kin restaurant.

I heard that Jozu Kin is newly opened and if I am right they opened last September 2009. It specializes on authentic and modern Japanese food and also some original recipe that is exclusive only to Jozu Kin. The place is quite intimadating from the outside and inside, but when you see their menu, all of it are affordable and price is okay and different from classy Japanese restos. Satuday baby time

Me and Lace went to Medical City for her check up and also consult on something with the doctor and we went there after a hearty lunch at Jollibee were she craves for the Jolly Spaghetti and french fries. And after the hospital appointment, we went to SM MOA riding a taxi and we just slept the entire hour on the road to the mall.

to reward myself, I grabbed a venti size Dark Cherry Mocha at Starbucks and thanks to SM for that GC.

and at the end of the day, the preggy lady craves now some yummy hotdog sandwiches,we roam around all resto and we can't find the best hotdog sandwich in town, but im glad that Almon Marina have this german hotdog sandwich priced at P175. She ate the sandwich, then gave the potato salad to me.

Its a long day for us three, and then we learned that we will be back for another check up on Dec. 19th and will listen and see the heartbeat of our baby. exciting ba? hehehe

I have this little cooling pad at home and bought it at Power Mac Center in Megamall the other night before watching a movie. Its a Belkin Laptop Cooling pad and it is perfect for me to use it with my laptop whenever I place it on my bed, pillow or lap. I always complain that my laptop is starting to heat up under it whenever I place it on top of my lap and to reduce the heat problems, we need a good cooling pad. The fan is powered by a low powered USB connected to your laptop. The Belkin laptop cooling fan is best designed for small laptops, but my laptop with a screen size of 17 inches sit perfectly and I can now stay the whole evening on bed using my laptop on my lap.

DOT announces 3rd leg of Phil. Kayaking Series ‘09

Following the successful first two parts of the Philippine Kayaking Series 2009, Kayak Explore Hundred Islands and Kayak Explore Cavite-Corregidor-Bataan, the Department of Tourism (DOT) is urging all kayak enthusiasts and novices to join the 3rd leg of the series which will be held in Cebu and Bohol on December 4-6, 2009.

Entitled Kayak Explore Cebu-Bohol crossing, the 3rd run will follow the route of Mactan Island to Bohol, where paddlers will cross the 125-km scenic route passing through a motley of islets, coves, mangroves and river deltas. The DOT together with the Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation (PCVC) is supporting the event. (read more below)

“We have 7,107 islands, with infinite possibilities for kayaking adventure. Exploring the span of our clear waters surely opens travelers to the unique splendor of our country,” said Ace Durano, Secretary of Tourism.

The tourism chief also commended different sectors for their active participation in boosting the eco-adventure package, “The Philippines can undoubtedly become the Kayaking Capital of Southeast Asia with these overwhelming support from the private sector and local communities.”

Eduardo Jarque Jr., Tourism Undersecretary for Planning and Promotions highlighted the country’s bountiful natural waterways, “This unique eco-adventure allows tourists inside secret coves, inlets, channels that lead to stunning views of our mangrove forests, limestone cliffs, unspoiled coastlines and other exciting mysteries around our islands.”

With more than 100 participants expected to attend the three-day event, Kayak Explore Cebu and Bohol will begin from Punta Engano following a 5-km coastal run along Mactan Island passing through resorts and other sites, then on to Olango, down to Getafe, Bohol. The race will then move eastward towards Panglao passing through coastwise and municipal waters; stopping by at designated control points where local packages and tours may be introduced.

Apart from the kayak marathon, the event will also conduct kayaking clinics, 5-km novice races, eco-touring flotilla, island hopping, moonlight paddling. A mini fair of eco-tour packages such as the New Adventure-Kayak Hundred Islands, Historic Manila Bay Kayaking Adventures; Luxury Kayaking Safari in Bacuit Bay, Palawan, and Bohol Extreme Packages: Kayamping (Kayak and Camping) will be held on site.

Kayaking Philippines was introduced to major foreign buyers at the Philippine Travel Exchange ’09 (PHITEX).

One of the world’s best kayak sites and trails found in the Philippines include, Pinacanauan River, Hundred Islands, Cavite-Corregidor-Bataan, Caramoan Peninsula, Northern Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Samar, Siargao Island, and Samal Island.

The Caramoan Peninsula offers a view of limestones, rugged coastlines, and white sand-ringed islands, complemented by a stunning view of underwater marine life by snorkeling around shallow waters.

For the high-spending market, the DOT offers Luxury Kayaking in Palawan. Known for its idyllic beaches, lagoons and caves, Palawan enjoins travelers to kayak in El Nido and Coron.

Cebu draws attention to paddling in Hilutungan Island and Marine Sanctuary, Sulpa Island, Olango Island and Mactan Island for moonlight kayaking.

Bohol, the frontier of ecotourism, lists several sites for kayaking which include, Banacon Island, Pandanon Island, Dumog and Ubay Islands, Abatan River, and Punta Cruz, which teem with mangrove forest and sandbars. Lagoon moonlight paddling is also offered in Panglao Island.

In Samar, the unspoiled waters of Marabut, and Sohoton Natural Bridge Park are featured. While Siargao has Guyam Island, Sohoton Cove, and Del Carmen Lagoon. Samal Island in Davao is likewise a kayak site, promising reefs, mountains and caves along the way.

Philippine coffee experience at Le Bistro Cafe

It was a 3 in 1 event at the Le Bistro Cafe for I was there with my blogger people to attend a Coffee 101 and Barista Workshop that is conducted by Pacita Juan of the Philippine Coffee Board. But before we proceed to the workshop, the group decided to hang out for a while and wait for the others inside Le Bistro, it is a new sparkling venue at the Fraser Place in Valero St. Makati City, just beside HV Dela Costa st.

I finally discovered a new venue to buy Philippine coffee with free WIFI, good food and pasta, coffee and pastries. (read more below)

Le Bistro

The location of the cafe is outside the Fraser Place and the view from a far is very nice as you will walk up on a stair on head to the elevated cafe on top. After entering there's this giant colorful collage artwork on the wall with a vintage feel and friendly aura when you stare at it. We tried this pasta food set ( which I forgot what it was called) and a nice presentation of it in our table. Its like a putanesca carbonara, I began to guess the name of the pasta after tasting some anchovies, and we have a chicken sandwich and a soup. They also sell cakes and pastries and you can get your order by visiting the display fridge nearby. If we talk about their coffee, all of the coffee that will be served to us is all original Philippine Coffee, they have a sign on the black board that says "Sustainable Coffee", I think they refer to the process they have for the coffee since it came from our soil, and a campaign for the right harvest of the red coffee cherry fruit and leave the green ones behind and wait it to go ripe and red. They provide the coffee demand without jeopardizing the needs of the future, means that we should not waste harvesting the green cherry fruit coffee because it is not the right time and will be good for the future. Wasting the unripe fruit is not good for the coffee industry as it is harvested without care after getting the red cherry.

It is a good venue to hold meetings and Christmas parties at Le Bistro, and because they have free wifi and comfy interiors they also have conference room upstairs were you can host your meeting, presentation or launchings.

Coffee 101 and barista workshop

This is a workshop for all those who want to learn more about coffee, the production, the history and how to mix the right coffee and act as a barista. Pacita Juan spearheaded the workshop and seminar for us and I remember back in college in FEU on the year 2006 (it is in my blog hhaah) I attended her talk about leadership and success for entrepreneurs and it was very good experience to learn about her success in Figaro and now the campaign they have to promote Philippine coffee. I just learned that coffees are a good stimulant and it was used in the old age as a medicine and food before it was used as a beverage, and then it was discovered in the 15th century and have the very first coffee shop. Then coffee was brought here by the dutch that are close in Borneo and then in 1740, Franciscan friars brought 3 gantas coffee beans and planeted it here. We have four kinds of coffee that grows here, they are Robusta, Excelsa, Arabica and Liberica (which we know as Barako).

We learned on how to blend and mix coffee, at the bar, Barista Anjo taught us on how to use the coffee espresso machine, and also how to froth the milk in the right way. I asked him why I always get an upset stomach after drinking cappuccino, and he said that the frothing the milk became too much and burn the sugar away, that's why it reacts to my stomach becomes acidic. That's why for now on I'm loving and enjoying drinking latte and avoided cappuccino on some cafes, but I tried Anjo's mix of cappuccino and it tasted nice and I never get an upset stomach after it.

The bloggers enjoyed the hands on workshop and me,.. enjoyed drinking near it ehhehe. I didn't tried mixing it, but everything already answered my questions and I'm very satisfied. I have attended so many coffee talks and this one is very special.. not only we learn more about the coffee but also we tried mixing it and be a barista for a day.

at the Lopez Musem another take of it's one Zero in series is having their own "Deleted Scenes", if DVD has its own deleted scenes and directors commentary section, here at the Lopez museum show us more deleted scenes in our history, unreleased and showed for the first time in public.

Everything is clear with LG-GD900 Crystal phone

LG is just released another new hi tech phone - LG-GD900 Crystal, the world's first transparent phone. It is so weird when you hear and see new features of phone, with lots of new interface and hardware and now we see it as clear as an invisible cloak. The phone features the LG's next generation touch technology - the Gesture Command. The LG-GD900 Crystal is a slider phone with features of a normal alphanumeric keypad, the touchpad is also on the main screen, it is used to control lots of features of the phone just like a track pad or mouse of our computer. The touch pad recognizes handwriting and it responds to multi touch comamnds and enables a new way of navigation called Gesture Command.

the base and cover is transparent, very stylish and its a trendy phone. The phone is reinforced by a band of Liquidmetal, a composite alloy that is ultra strong and able to absorb shock and vibration, I guess that will answer of the phone will easily break when it falls. I'm using a unit now and will post a review soon. Q: Tell us about the experience of creating the LG GD900 Crystal. How did you come up with an idea of transparent phone?

Kim: We started toying with the idea in 2005 and later the concept won the Presidential Design Award at the Korea Industrial Design Exhibition in 2006. At the lab, we are always examining new designs and always on the lookout for something that would stand out from the rest. Ironically, we created a ”stand-out" phone by making it transparent!

Transparency is one motif that many designers around the world have experimented with at one time or another. It’s like invisibility – the holy grail for designers because we’re essentially working with something that’s almost invisible. But the challenge is also a reward because we’re not constrained by the barrier of a shell or covering. Once the opaque skin is stripped away, the interior is exposed, creating a kind of emotional connection.

Q: There are a few transparent concept products from other manufacturers. What is it that distinguishes the LG GD900 Crystal that your team has developed?

Kim: Everything else we’ve seen are prototypes at the conceptual stage whereas this handset is now just a few weeks from being in the hands of an end-user. Other transparent products have never made it this far and usually have ended up as experimental design concepts that end up in a museum or design studio.

The real challenge of creating the LG GD900 wasn’t that the transparent design had to be attractive but that the handset itself had to function no differently than any other premium mobile phone. Consumer insights, which play a big role in how we approach handset design, have shown time after time that design and style are important but unlikely to be accepted by the masses unless the functionality is all there. Even fashion-conscious customers want a good lens on their camera for those important photos and clear sound even when they’re on the subway.

Q: Did you have any difficulty developing the design of the LG GD900 Crystal?

Kim: One challenge we had to overcome is that consumers want big screens but they don't want big handsets. So on the GD900 Crystal we expanded the touch screen functionalities to the touchpad itself. We adopted an inner slide system utilizing a gapless rail support mechanism to achieve the simple look. The final challenge was making the electric circuitry invisible which was achieved with the help of a layer of touch-sensitive film. We achieved all these breakthroughs and still managed to keep the thickness to a slim 13.5 millimetres.

Q. Advances in design are often driven by the development of new materials. What new materials were used in the creation of the LG GD900 Crystal?

Kim: We've used many kinds of materials on other models that have turned out to be successful and popular with consumers who want a different look. This is easier said than done, as the right materials also have to have the right look and feel. For LG Shine, we used a full metallic body, first ever used on a mobile phone; and for LG Secret, the initial concept was a "style that lasts" and we used premium materials of tempered glass and carbon fibre. For GD900 Crystal, it's made of a highly durable tempered glass and is framed and reinforced by a band of Liquidmetal, a relatively new material that designers are looking into that is very strong and quite shock-absorbent.

Q: Tell us your outlook for transparent consumer products.

Kim: Transparency is another form of invisibility. It’s something that everyone fantasizes about but until now, that’s all it’s been. The fact that we can now make devices for daily use that are, for the lack of a better word -- “invisible” -- is significant because we are no longer constrained by a solid “barrier” in design. It’s like a window that is also an input device -- it's revolutionary. We’re excited about what the future holds in the next generation of “design transparency”.

I just talked to a friend and we shared both opinions about the new system of voting for the year 2010. He told me that we are just wasting our time and it seems to be a joke in having an automated election. I answered him and with a nice answer that we should try and I believe that the new system will give us a better and fast result than the old traditional way of voting.

Unlimited internet surfing with a usb internet stick

Internet sticks are the craze today, and the battle for having the fastest connection is now making the waves on tv, radio and internet. I just discovered months ago with this one branded internet stick, I'm using it completely FREE and it runs in unlimited internet surfing time. It is weird, and checked the load of my prepaid sim card and it says ZERO.

I won't mention the brand of the internet stick that I'm using, and to make the clue worst, I'm using three different kind of internet stick with different brand names. I guess this will be a big scavenger hunt to know which internet stick is having flaws detecting your zero load credit and let's you connect to the internet. I just discovered this by accident and I think there's a system error after the Ondoy tpyhoon that makes you connect to the internet. It's been a month after my discovery and a weeks after my last log in, I just don't know what happened and I'm planning to replug it again to check if it will give me free internet load time in my zero credit account.

The time I forgot to blog

This is the most difficult part as a blogger, its like having a big amnesia and never know how to blog back or start a new blog entry. It happens to me many times and I can't get the right term or word for it, I'll just describe it here and just correct me if this experience doesn't agree with you. I opened up my blospot and create this post to warm myself up and prepare to blog more. It's been days or weeks that I don't have a good content to post and I want to avoid creating so much commercial stuff here in my blog, so I'm trying to balance myself and post something that is personal, interesting and weird.

I do forget to blog the most important content, and that's the personal and interesting happenings in my life, even that I do attend events or try out those great gadgets,I lack sometimes the quality content that I wanted and also for my readers to see what I have for them. An information, trivia and tidbits of experience that can help them. I woke up in the morning and receives a lot of phone calls and sms messages, and yeah its a blog related thing, and after that I went back to bed and forget everything, The next hours I woke up and realized that I need to blog and what the heck I am doing so late in the afternoon and sitting on my bed and started to pull things back to normal and go.. oh shit! I'm running of time and I need to blog.

Its a scary thing as a blogger, especially when you have your own deadline and other people's deadline that they wanted to see in your blog. Posting a blog post is not very easy, it requires great focus and concentration that's why I'm closing all my IMs and plurks, just to avoid myself clicking and peeking on someone's entry, and sometimes I log out my email just to let my self focus in my compose section of blogger.

Attending events sometimes make me forget being a blogger, although that I am registered as a blogger and will cover the event for the company and to my blog. But enjoying so much in the event will make me forget everything, it is fun to dance, sing, eat, talk to people, or take home goodies and enjoy a series of photo ops and business opportunities. I'm putting myself inside the bottle with a label of "this beverage will expire after 3 hours", means that I should put my senses back or else I might forget everything. I really want to take notes, take photographs, take videos or record that talks or discussions, but it is a little bit hard core for me to do everything at the same time, sounds like a work of a press or media. But I decided to be a photographer now whenever Im in events. So after going back home, I'll plug myself and be a blogger again.

I guess being a blogger is like those people who bring laptops with them in every place and log on automatically whenever they scan a good wifi signal, and check their emails, plurks, twits, facebook and blogs. Its hard to resist to receive a free wifi signal and whenever I get that, I automatically log on, using my laptop, PSP or that Black Berry Curve phone or LG Crystal phone. Log in, Log out and then drink my hot coffee and log in and log out. Oh my gard. I am a blogger.
