The Hempstead County Republican Headquarters held its ribbon-cutting Tuesday October 7th. The headquarters is located at 1318 South Main, Suite 2. The headquarters will have Republican yard signs and campaign materials.

Moore & Flagg on Boy Scouts at Lions

David Moore and Ed Flagg brought the Hope Lions Club a program on Boy Scouts on Monday. Moore works with the Razorback District, a 3 county area. Flagg is a scout volunteer.

Senator Jim Hill visits with two friends Tuesday at UACCH. The Senator from Howard County is finishing up his term in the Senate and is prohibited from running again due to term limits. Senator Hill was honored with a program at the college which featured remarks from Governor Mike Beebe. Later a "Roast & Toast" was held to honor the senator at Historic Washington. That event raised funds for the UACCH Foundation.

ADEQ Hearing At UACCH On Turk Plant

A standing-room only crowd filled the Johnny Rapert Library Auditorium on the UACCH campus Thursday for a hearing by the Arkansas Department of Enviromental Quality. Many local leaders to the opportunity to speak in favor of the project including Hope Mayor Dennis Ramsey, EDC President Wesley Woodard, Fulton Mayor Henry Hale, State Senator Barbara Horn, Business-owner Mike Cox, and Mineral Springs-Saratoga Schools Superintendent Max Adcock. The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce formally endorsed the project last year.
