Ahh it's good to update again.
Basically work has really taken over, but I'm still around.
Still working.

Basically my computer got attacked today by a virus from school but it was very dumb and I re-wrote the autorun file, and it didn't like that at all =P

Gallery in IE

I have found that in vista, everything works perfectly
so in other words if you're stuck on IE on XP then I pity you greatly, and the gallery will not look right, along with most of the site.

If you are really that fussed about the problems, I'd suggest upgrading to firefox.

Yup, the piclens gallery is pretty much finished, however there is a display problem in Internet Explorer. I am working hard to fix this bug and it should hopefully display properly soon :)

New Animal Photos

I now have some new animal photos uploaded:
They were taken at a safari park up near worcester and using a compact 7MP pentax camera with 3X optical zoom.

Not my weapon of choice, but I have yet to order my DSLR with Infra-red cokin filter.

Wakestock 2008

As many may know, I attended the Relentless Wakestock Festival 2008 at Blenheim Palace.
Although no-one seemed to have heard of it, apparently this festival is the biggest wakeboarding/music festival in the world, which isn't really saying much; however size isn't everything.

The lineup included:

Estelle did "entertain" also (I use inverted commas due to the only entertainment during that particular act being to laugh at the poor woman herself) though I preferred to stand out in the rain eating pizza.

The wakeboarding itself was extraordinary in quality, with even the amateur runs on the pool gap being rather jaw-dropping. The main competition which took place upon a large lake in the palace grounds, was very impressive, with free music and small refreshments of relentless to any who felt the need.

The pool gap was the venue of the Vans Rococo Rail Tour, a grind competition in which a pair of competitors would compete to try and beat the last grind trick the other one pulled off until one of them could not. The later stages of this competition were awe-inspiring as boarders pulled off transfers between grind boxes and even a front-flip.

The atmosphere inside the packed-out arenas was truly amazing, with literally hundreds trying to get as close to the front as possible. As far as I know, the most "eventful" performance by far was the one by Pendulum. This ended up with people overheating and fainting during the hour-long performance, who promptly had to be dragged out of the crowds by the staff. However, these incidents did not stop people crowding as close to the front as possible, all in the hope of touching the hand of Rob Swire.

I myself was right at the front for most of the gigs, which resulted in me being able to capture a video (on my phone) showing the mania inside the pendulum moshpit. However, due to an annoying side-effect of a windows update, I can no-longer transfer videos from my phone: a minor inconvenience, but irritating nonetheless.

All in all, this festival was very enjoyable and I recommend either the Blenheim Palace, or Abersoch venues for anyone looking for a new festival to attend in the UK next year

Thank god for ftp

This blog has been a real pain to set up! But oh well, it's working now.

Basically I just don't have the time to manually write every single page in strict xhtml, so i have decided instead to use an external site along with its advanced embed option. Unfortunately when your ftp accounts seem to hate you with a vengence and your internet decides to regularly have a DNS error, well...yeah

It's been nasty, but i'll live

On the other hand, I can finally use scribefire with this blog, and it publishes without error to my site (hence the title)
