When it comes to finding the love of your life, how other people perceive it is the last thing that matters. Just as long as you are smart and alert, hence online dating is quite safe after all.

Passionsearch.com is a dating website unlike no other. Just like what the name of the site suggest, it helps people to "passion search". There is no joining fee and best of all, video chatting online is totally 100% free. That's a bonus because you actually get to interact with the other members and get to know them better, free of charge! With this, you will know how the member looks like instead of being duped with the "tall-dark-handsome-hunky" description. Haha.

Other than video chats, Passionsearch.com has instant messages, chat rooms, dating services and etc to enhance your social experience. All you need to do is sign up and search for the group of people that you are interested and maybe you'll fall in love and maybe find the partner of your life. I grew up with stories of Nancy Drew and Sherlock Holmes so it's only natural now that i'm an adult, i love watching mystery movies and playing detective board games such as Scotland Yard and Cluedo.

You know now there are even such online games where you can practice your sleuthing skills. The "5 Minute Mystery" has a wide range of short mysteries for you to solve. All you need to do is read the mystery and look for clues, identify the suspects and try to earn points and ranking by solving the mystery. The challenging mysteries will be posted every Monday and Friday. "5 Minute Mystery" was even featured on ABC News (Click here: http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=6195288).

But there's a catch. You need to sign up for a fee to enjoy the game but it's not much, just $9.95 per year. It's worth it because tis site will definitely train your mind to be more analytical and alert.

Right now i'm trying to solve a mystery called "A Mystery at the Detective's Office". I'm trying to figure out who stole the rent money of one of the occupant in the building. Come help me figure it out!

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378387613351287880.post-80473781938974680072009-02-17T11:05:00.003+08:002009-02-17T18:40:00.909+08:00Dao Mei

As expected, our Valentine's Day turned out to be another disaster. But it's ok coz we were sooooo unlucky that day, it was funny.

You know, Valentine's Day is really like a Black Friday for us. Everything that we planned to do will be a flop... without fail each year. The last 2 Valentines, we ended up with a huge argument and we had to postponed the celebration coz i was not done sulking >_<. So, we kind of agreed and made a pack not to buy gifts or celebrate Valentine's Day this year or maybe the years after. It's not like i'm a grinch or don't like to be lovey dovey for a day but i think our birth dates clashes with Valentine's Day or something, bad things just happends to us on Vday and <s>Mr. Bf isn't really the romantic type ler</s> hey, i'm running out of idea on gifts too ok. Who isn't right? Haha. Right.

Even so, that didn't stopped us from having a rotten day on V-day. First we were stuck in the traffic for like forever. It was early afternoon but already the roads are packed with vehicles. We were there looking for a certain backpack for trekking use just because his friend, Kelvin told us that the shop at KLCC have that particular one that we were looking for. It took us double the time to get to KLCC and we were cranky and nearly screamed at each other in the car. Then we found out the shop doesn't even carry that brand of backpack! Wtf! We're so going to kill him!

Since we were at KLCC we went to CIMB to open a joint account. We waited almost an hour in the queue and when it was our turn the stupid Malay woman eyed suspiciously me up and down and started interogating us. I mean it's just a joint account wat? It's not like we're smuggling fake money or wat! Somemore when i asked her about foreign cheques she launched into a long speech on how the bank is going to charge high fees to clear it then how it's not worth cashing out the cheque. Wtf. When i asked her about the fees she just shrugged and say she don't know. In the end we were so frustrated we didn't open the account.

When it rains it pours. We thought having a hot meal would make us forget the bad day, and we had the worst lunch i ever had. The food sucks big time! We spend the rest of the day caught in traffic driving to the Curve and 1U. I couldn't even find the handbag that i wanted. Then on the way back home there was another round of traffic. Grrrr!

Now i really believe Valentine's are not in our feng shui book.

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378387613351287880.post-13093827447030297772009-02-13T18:01:00.003+08:002009-02-13T23:21:13.665+08:00Happy Valentine's MyB

MyB,

Happy Valentine's Day!! XOXOXOXOXO!

I'm writing this for the sake of our tradition of me making your eyes water on every Valentine and Birthday. *wakaka! I'm just kidding :P

But unlike last time, i'm going to keep this short and hopefully sweet... because i'm really running out of idea ok. A girl has only got so many ways of professing her undying love alright? Ok, i'm glad you agree with me like always.

So, for this Valentine all i want is to tell you that i love you and that i wish you will take better care of your health because i just can't imagine life without you... although i wouldn't mind a trip to Spain, a diamond necklace or a ring, a Kate Spade or even a house in Desa Park City. And that is no joke.

Muacks!

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378387613351287880.post-77330275541998926552009-02-13T12:50:00.003+08:002009-02-13T12:52:16.150+08:00Oops

Oops i think my curse was slightly diverted. The article in New York Times was about the hassle and on how getting prescriptive glasses is costing the public a bomb. Luckily, the article also gives some very useful tips and information on how to minimize the cost. It's all about Seeing Straight Without Breaking Bank!

So, it's actually not surprising that Zenni was featured in the article. Afterall, where else could you get Prescription eyeglasses for only $8!

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378387613351287880.post-24013388107521223752009-02-11T00:29:00.003+08:002009-02-11T01:14:00.432+08:00Psychologist Wannabe

Ok, i finally watched the p0rn version of Pirates of Caribbean. Mr. Bf relented to my annoying pester and downloaded the movie. It's suppose to be some very famous p0rn movie complete with pirates costumes, ships and CGI. The ultimate p0rn movie konon lar.

To give credit the movie did really looked like an actual 2 hour movie, none of those cheapskate p0rn where they focus on people banging (ermmm sorry i don't know how else to describe). But 2 hour is too much. Halfway through the show i still had no idea what is going on except who banged who and then i gave up. Bah!

Hey i want Slumdog Millionaire. Who's got it? Lend me please? Pretty please?
.
.
.
I was lying on the bed and a thought came into my mind. I had to blog about it so 10 years from now i could read back the entry and remember what a genius <s>not</s> i was... am.

Anyways, i was wondering if the treats and character of a person is due to genetics. Does naughty kids inherit their naughtiness from their parents and their parents from their parents and so on? People are emotional, selfish, kiasu, filial because of genes? I know some people do believe it has got to do with genes. But it's difficult to determined isn't it? Kids grow up adapting to environment. Even twins have separate and distinct characteristics.

I wonder if i have 3 kids and i quarantine them, make them wear the same clothes, eat the same food, play with the same friends, and are given the same amount of love, the bottom line is everything they have would be 100% equal, how would they turn out to be. Would they behave the same? Will they have similar behaviour? I wonder...

But even though the child are given material things in equal, humans are naturally bias. Parents would deny it but they do have their favorites among their children. No parents could possibly admit loving all their kids equally. I did. Ok, i didn't but my elder sister did. I got it later (i think i was 8 or 9) because younger siblings in those days always gets the hand-me-downs. Don't gape in disbelieve all you spoiled brats! Yes, we didn't have new stuffs back in those days, most is old stuffs handed down from siblings or cousins. My old monopoly and scrabble set were from my cousin sister, my Enid Blyton books are from her too, some of my dresses were my elder sisters, i played with a second-hand remote controlled Hot-Wheels car when i was small. I was a little tom-boyish and blame it on my cousin brother for dumping the wheels at my home. If i never get married now i blame it on him too. -_-"

Well, this is what happened to my second-hand Barbie.

Beheaded

Not exactly. Actually, i pulled out the plastic hands and legs too. I wished i were smart enough to take a picture of the poor Barbie then so i'd have proof of my masterpiece. But wtf, back then i only knew to play, eat, avoid homework and to mutiliate dolls then hide it under the mattress. My sister would have strangled me if she discovered her beloved doll was part of a homicide scene.

I never liked Barbies. Man, i think i was a budding feminist even back then. *wakaka yeah right! Ok, i think not but i never understood what was so fun dressing up the doll and pretending it was going to a party or meeting up with Ken. Seriously.

Never mind that.

Now meet Barbie's predecessor. Meet Bild Lili.

Bild Lili the doll and Lili the cartoon

Now, that's a doll i would have liked. Bild Lili is way cool and way more sexy then Barbie. I think if i'd own a Lili instead of a Barbie i wouldn't have plucked out her head. Haha.

According to wikipedia, Lili was a post-war icon (it's based on a German cartoon character) and had no reservations talking about sex. She's been known to have dialogues like "As you were angry when I was late this morning I will leave the office at five p.m. sharp!") or to a policeman who told her that two-piece-swimsuits are banned: "Which piece do you want me to take off?". Shocking right? The gal's feisty and got character wei. Haha. And her outfit are very sassy and sexy too.

I's pick Lili over Barbie anytime. But then again, after i watched Chucky, i never wanted to own another doll in my life.

*shit! now i can't turn off the images of my teddy stabbing me :S

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378387613351287880.post-4179989414299375842009-02-06T20:03:00.003+08:002009-02-06T20:23:43.304+08:00Tag Time

I've been tagged again. Actually we wanted to get the fist day cover but we were too late and most post offices that we inquire had ran out of my school stamps. Fortunately the main post office at Dayabumi still have them. So we bought 2 sets and i of course had to get extra CBN stamps for my sisters! LOL.

And might i mention the lady at the post office was supper nice too. :P

Convent Bukit Nanas (CBN)

Damn i miss my school. I just mentioned to him how i missed the celebrations when i was in school. The Family Day, Canteen Day, Everybody Day and the likes.

Damn i miss the flower request and popcorn request and other junk request the clubs came up with! If you didn't know, it's something the clubs came up with to make money. The members would hold something like a flower request or candy request then distribute the request form to each classes. There are columns for sender, dedication and receiver. The member would collect the forms and place order then wrap everything up nicely. Then the flower/candy is delivered together with a note, the dedication written on it.

Very smart way to make profit right?! LOL. Most of the time everyone will force everyone else to send themselves some gifts in exchange that they do the same. Sometimes especially during Valentine's Day, the club member would even extend the request to the opposite boy school (St. John). Whoever came out with this idea is either a very good business woman or has an eye on someone there *wakaka!

I remember receiving like damn lots of donuts once. Let me see... 1 2 3 4...yep 4 more days to go before the firecrackers dies down. What the hell happened to the firecracker-ban this year? I mean like, the pasar malam in Kepong was like a crackers-haven. Even the guy selling pirated games converted his stall selling firecrackers ler. I haven't had a good night sleep since. Wtf.

This year CNY wasn't too bad despite those blardy neighbors kids throwing firecrackers and scaring the hell out of my dogs, coz most relatives are married and... ahem... naturally they neglected to come for house visit this year. Oh well, the less the better. Less relative, less drama right? *wakakaka!

Surprisingly though, this year i raked in more angpow money than before thanks to Mr.Bf's mom and grandma. It's none of your business if i die a sorry spinster buried with my farm of cats or dogs for that matter, ok?! Get off my case already! Dear, Anne Hathaway is mine ok?

Ok, back to my story. How was your CNY? Mine was alright coz i spent most of the time stuffing my face with food... like every other Chinese people during CNY -_-". I have an aunt who has diabetes. My dad has high blood pressure. It's scary but i have to admit that all those diseases runs in the family. Though i'm doing my best to practice a healthy lifestyle, there is always a chance as small as it would be that i would be susceptible to it. However, with the major finds in technology like C'elle, there is some kind of hope.

C'elle is an innovative company that brings hope in protecting our future. I've been ignoring this blog yet again *haha no surprise there. 2009 have been a busy year... I know it's like just 2 months into 2009 but i've been so caught up with the continuous festive season and cleaning and other work that i have no time to even sit down for a sip of coffee.

I've been a bad girl lately. Started emo-ing and stuff. And not blogging enough. I've written a rubbish, short post for New Year. Didn't even bother to write down my reflection and resolution for this year. Now we're going to celebrate Chinese New Year already! Gosh, time passes really quickly when you're busy!

Anyways, Chinese New Year is still new year right? It's a new beginning for Chinese people so to make up for my terrible New Year post, i'm going to do some reflection on my life in 2008 before CNY.

1) Jan 08 - Mug Mug came into my life.

My first pet dog ever. I know we've been together for quite some time but i try to delay this meeting as long as i can. Well, i did at last meet them and i survived. Phew! Nerve wrecking!

13) Nov 08 - Suspected to have thyroid.

I've been having abnormal spotting/bleeding after menstruation and that got me worried. Mr. Bf dragged me to pay a visit to the gynae and i did. I swear she's the worst doctor ever. She did not listen to me, scolded me and did not care to explain anything. Worst of all she gave me the wrong information and refuse to give me an ultrasound. Upon her own speculation, she suspected i have thyroid. I had nightmare waiting for the result. I almost went crazy. It turned out i do not have thyroid afterall.

She also gave me a packet of anti-pregnancy pills which was supposed to stabilize my hormone. What it did was made me suffer from migraine, mood swings and serious insomnia. Stupid woman!

14) Dec 08 - I have ovarian cyst.

I've not blog about this before but i went for a second opinion since my first visit to the gynae was a disaster. I went to Dr. Wong at Hartamas. He's from Pantai and he did an ultrasound. Apparently i have quite alot of cyst in my ovary. If i'm not mistaken, the condition is called 'graafian follicle cyst'. It means i'm not releasing my eggs *wtf hahahahahahaha

Since it's only benign, i do not have to go to surgery yet. I'm on medication still. Taking the med is a pain because it causes water retention. My body gets so bloated someday, i could weight additional 2kg or more!

Going for checkup once i finish 2 months medication. That's on March. Fingers cross.
*
*
*
Phew! Seems like alot of stuff went on in 2008. No matter what, 2008 was a memorable year full of ups and down. It wasn't the best year. I hope 2009 will be a better and greater year with many more happy endings.

Now i have to go back to CNY preparations!

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378387613351287880.post-75215165468300967232009-01-22T23:30:00.002+08:002009-01-22T23:42:34.460+08:00Happy Birthday Sis!

Wa wa wa! I never felt so good in my life, not one moment i could recall that were more uplifting than this. Went to the bathroom. No constipation today. Oh goody, what a great start already. Glanced at the dining table. Yes! My favorite 'nasi lemak' with extra 'sambal' for breakfast today. Brushed my teeth. Looked into the mirror. Wow! Is my acne getting better or is my mind playing tricks on me? Whatever. I looked great. I think.

You know why i felt so optimistic the other day? I had a dream. I dreamed i hit jackpot. No kidding! I did. Just one day after i decided to try my luck, pester Mr.Bf to buy a lottery ticket (you know, those scratch and win lottery mostly Indian uncles selling at kopitiam ler), i dreamed i was a millionaire busy deciding what to do with my sudden wealth.

And you know what i'm going to do if i'm filthy rich? I'm going to buy me a house. No, 2 houses. No, make that a dozen or so. Yeah, for some reason only few knows, i'm totally obssessed with buying houses. Then i'll buy like as many doggies i'm able to take care of and the rest of the money would go to SPCA. Ok, it doesn't sound like a good plan but whatever. It's my money i'm spending. -_-"

And hey, i'm going to buy myself another house in the US of A and move to Boston because i like the sound of John Hancock Tower (inside joke *snigger). And i'm going to hire a boston moving company to relocate me. Ok, i don't know if Humboldt Storage and Moving can relocate me from Malaysia to Boston but i heard they do have international relocation services to countries like Australia or United Kingdom so it's won't hurt to ask. Most probably it could be arranged since i am a millionaire. Nobody could resist a millionaire right? Right.

After i move to Boston, i'm going to buy houses here and there. Even in Paris. And i will have a fun time moving around the globe. God that sounds good!

Just my luck i have to wake up from the dream. *sulk!

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5378387613351287880.post-43848439933178493842009-01-07T14:50:00.003+08:002009-01-07T15:19:48.360+08:00I'm Still Alive!

I'm still here. I'm alive. Give me some time to sort things out.

Damn there are alot of stuff in my life that needs sorting, shuffling and reorganizing.

And damn i'm gonna have to give Jason Mraz's concert a miss. Just my luck that i'll still be in Chiang Mai feeding elephants on that day. Grrr...

Ps:// Ok, ok. I admit i dissed Jason Mraz before this. But lately his songs keep pop up in my head and i'm starting to appreciate him and his music. Bite my tongue :P

SlowCatchUpKuanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06810554201254516245noreply@blogger.com3
