Begin, even now, praying for God's “mercy to triumph over judgment.” Just as God used Jonah in Nineveh of old, so too, Jesus can use you to bring repentance. Yes , and even here in “Sin City USA!”

The bottom line in the book of Jonah? God’s heart:

“But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people living in spiritual darkness, not to mention all the animals. Shouldn’t I feel sorry for such a great city?” (Jonah 4:11 )

So now this July you can “live out” Romans 5:20:

“The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more ”

Who knows what “grace” may do abounding in a saint like You? You'll have to come out, to find out!

Already several Southern Nevada Churches are joining in this historic event of making Las Vegas a major battleground in this spiritual war exposing child sacrifice. And it only “begins” here, like this...

All participants must agree to sign a pledge of non-violence committing to only peaceful and prayerful participation during the 7 evening rallies and 7 mornings of street ministry.

NOTE: Every street activity will be on public property therefore being safe and legal for all ages.

Please attend as many of the activities as you are able. Seminars, too are being offered in afternoon sessions on most days. Also we need volunteers for housing, transportation, helps etc. Please call the OSA Communications Center for a place to serve.

Every morning there is public ministry on the streets with daily FREE LUNCHES PROVIDED AFTERWARD for all participants at St. Viator's parish. All “morning ministry locations” are announced at the end of each evening's rally. If you miss the rally the night before you must call the OSA Comm. Ctr. after 7:00 AM for information on how to join a team that same morning.

The first 4 of 7 6:00 PM rallies will be held at Green Valley Baptist in Henderson, 270 N Valle Verde Drive.

More than just a short-term missions trip for all of them, it is going to be an historic and even “revolutionary” prolife event for you, too! As a local believer you are being invited to join this “Army for Life,” July 15-22, 2009

Ephesians 5:11 contains our “marching orders.”

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”

Mind you, this command requires more than simply having “nothing to do with” the fruitless deeds of darkness. Our mandate is “BUT RATHER EXPOSE THEM.” The familiar marketing slogan, “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas" is one lie that will be brought to light and exposed this summer. With your help “What Happens in Vegas Gets Exposed in Vegas!”

7 abortion mills and 3 Planned Parenthoods exist here but there’s also a very strong prolife ministry presence. Many of our own local churches have already notified us that they will participate in the event. Las Vegas will become “the national focus of prolife outreach” this year as hundreds of believers will be on our Las Vegas' streets declaring “LIFE!”

QUESTION: "Will you join this historic, Jesus Glorifying and Life Saving Event?"

Will you let your own prophetic voice be heard in the streets or will you respond like Jonah, running from his call to preach against the evils in the city of Nineveh? Is God really commanding you to “get up and go.” And if He is, will you? Jonah didn't want to preach God's message but God told him:

"Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh, and deliver the message of judgment I have given you.” (Jonah 3:1 NLT)

Our Great King, Jesus, is providing “locals” like us a remarkable opportunity to fight the good fight here in our own “International City” where people from all over the globe come to be entertained. Our so called “City of Lights” however, is steeped in ‘'the fruitless deeds of darkness” of child killing, sexual immorality and much, much more. And your voice matters, here.

BUT...you won't be alone we assure you because, unlike Jonah, yours will not be a solitary voice. There will be a cacophony of criers preaching in this desert wilderness. Join other local believers, like you, living in Southern Nevada, who are enlisting in this effort. Come join the chorus! Raise His banner! See sinners and unborn lives saved! Many children scheduled to die will surely perish IF we stay away! The time is now for your own voice to call out for His Will to be done! …or perhaps not?

“STILL PRAYING ABOUT IT?”

Perhaps you've prayed the “prayer of Jabez,” but have you ever prayed the “fish belly” prayer of Jonah?

"When MY life was ebbing away, I remembered you, LORD, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple. Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the LORD." (Jonah 2:7-9)

Don't forsake the grace that could be yours! Sacrifice! Take the risk! Allow your God to do His unimaginable and inconceivable works through you! (Eph. 3:20)

Yes, the streets of Las Vegas are hot in July and you could seek out a “cooler“ mission’s trip. This time choose to be different! Why not “turn up the heat” on the devil, instead? “Fan the flame within you” and watch God really “get you fired up” in this spiritual warfare! And don’t fret because you’ll actually survive the hot, dry mornings. We’ll take several precautions to help. To begin with you can even purchase your own “personal portable shade” to shield you when on the street! “Souvenir” umbrellas, bearing our logo “Jesus is the Standard” will be made available. After all, God provided shade for Jonah. Could we do less?

"Then the LORD God provided a vine and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort, and Jonah was very happy about the vine.” (Jonah 4:6)

A word of caution: Avoid becoming like Jonah, having it in your heart to declare judgment ONLY. God might just turn up the heat on us, too, as he did on Jonah. (Something we'd prefer to avoid.)

“When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah's head so that he grew faint.” (Jonah 4:8)

Yes, God’s certain judgment must be and will be declared just as Jonah was to do in Nineveh, but pray for sinners to repent (which comes after His judgment is preached.) Unlike Jonah, who hoped for certain judgment, we are praying for what true repentance can bring: Salvation. We will declare His judgment in the power of the Holy Spirit, not in the “spirit of Jonah!” Our hope and expectation is that many people will be convicted by God's impending judgment and turn to Him.

Twenty years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, God birthed a movement fueled by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and immersed in a single word - "repentance." This move of God radically changed the face of American Christianity and the pro-life movement. All this took place twenty years ago at the Democratic National Convention in downtown Atlanta. It was here that the Church of Jesus Christ dared to allow the theology of the church house to become biography in the streets.

Twenty years later, this same movement will head back to the streets of Atlanta to lift up the God above all gods, King Jesus Christ. Will you heed the call and allow God to move through you this summer as the Church once again stands for Truth at the very gates of hell?
