Sorry I haven't updated recently, but in actual fact, no new pets for adoption here is kind of a gd thing, as it means that no one has to give away their beloved pet. My rabbits have been fostered out, so I don't have to worry about them either. I try to visit them when I can, but it's not too often I'm afraid.

I'll add to this blog again when I know there are pets for adoption. Also, do visit the SPCA website, they have an adoption gallery that gets updated often.

Rabbit #1

Status: For Adoption
Breed: Dutch Rabbit (looks a bit like local rabbit)
Age: 7 years old
Gender: Male
Spayed/Neutered: No
Reason for Being Given Up: Owner moving house.
Good with other animals: Is not bonded with the other rabbit the owner keeps.
Ideal Owner: Someone who loves rabbits or who is experienced in keeping rabbits. This fellow is already 7 years old. Rabbits have a lifespan of 10 years. Hope to find someone who can adopt him and keep him well in his remaining senior years.
Ideal Home: HDB or private property is fine.
Other information: Owner is giving away with his cage.

Breed: Mini Lop
Age: 5 years old
Gender: Male
Spayed/Neutered: No
Reason for Being Given Up: Owner moving house.
Good with other animals: Is not bonded with the other rabbit the owner keeps.
Ideal Owner: Someone who loves rabbits or who is experienced in keeping rabbits. The mini lop is an adorable rabbit and can be friendly with the right handling and patience. Potential adopter must be willing to commit to this rabbit for at least the next 5 years of his life. So pls consider carefully.
Ideal Home: HDB or private property is fine.
Other information: Owner is giving away with his cage.

**Both these rabbits belong to the same owner. However, I believe they may be adopted separately as they are not bonded and each comes with his own cage.

My 3 Rabbits up for Temporary Fostering

Am looking for someone to foster my 3 rabbits until March 2008. Their monthly supplies will be provided for, the foster does not need to pay for anything. Just need to provide space, time to clean their toilet and groom them, and affection for them.

I would like to visit them once a month, and will bring all the supplies needed during the visit. If the foster requires something else, or need to bring them to the vet, just call me and I'll make arrangements. Pls note that this is a temp arrangement. I DO want my rabbits back next yr as my home is due to be completed (I hope there will be no delays, in fact, the faster the better!!)

To be more assuring, everything is laid out in black and white. I'll draft up a foster contract. The fosterer will get a copy of the contract. This is to prevent me from dumping my rabbits at the foster's and to prevent the foster from keeping my rabbits from me.

My rabbits are 4 yr old Bunbun (mixed angora lop), 4 yr old Flounder (mixed lionhead lop), 2 yr old Russ (ND). The 3 of them are healthy, bonded and sterilized. This is just a temp arrangement to help me out for this yr as it turned out that my rental place is not the most ideal place. But I don't want to give them away. Once my home is completed (finally!!) I'll have 1 extra room just to place them.

Bunbun
Status: For fostering
Breed: Mixed Angora Lop
Colour: Broken Orange
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Temperament: Bold and bossy. She can be carried, held and cuddled. And she likes being groomed. Needs more grooming than the other 2 due to her thick and long fur. My favourite girl.

Flounder
Status: For fostering
Breed: Mixed Lionhead Lop
Colour: Tortoiseshell
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Temperament: More timid than Bunbun, but behaves like a terror among the rabbits. She is timid with humans, but dominant among rabbits. Will hump Bunbun whenever she gets the chance or inclination. Needs to be fed lots of hay to prevent GI as she is a sensitive bunny.

Russ
Status: For fostering
Breed: Netherland Dwarf
Colour: Smoke Pearl Marten
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Temperament: The tiny undisputed king among the trio. Though the smallest in size, he does not put up with nonsense from the other 2. He rules them with his dainty paws. He is also vain and spends alot of time grooming himself to look handsome. Only needs to be brushed once a month, but his nails must be clipped more often.

Female Local Rabbit

Reason for Being Given Up: Was rescued from Bukit Batok Park, does not belong to the foster.

Ideal Owner: Someone who loves rabbits or who is experienced in keeping rabbits. This poor bunny was abandoned by her owner, we hope to find someone who will commit to keeping her in health and happiness, and who will not dump her again.

Ideal Home: HDB or private property is fine.
