In order to amplify the significance of this post, there is no accompanying photograph. (Not today anyway.) The "face" of The Frontier is gone. I am referring to that remaining front wall of The Frontier which can be seen in the last few posts on this blog. The north entrance, which was near the arrow sign, is gone, completely. There is nothing much left, in a tangible sense, of the interior of The Frontier. There are still some sections of outer wall which remain up, (as a shield between pedestrian traffic and the demolition work occurring on the other side of the wall), but it is nothing more than an empty face; like the bank building at Rhyolite. The final days of December 2007 are here, and The Frontier is still in the process of being razed. Phil's Angus Steakhouse at The Frontier had an entrance path and sign on the Las Vegas Boulevard side, not far from the north doors. That section of building has recently been semi-demolished.

Prior to the implosion of The Stardust hotel buildings, many of the surrounding structures were razed. This photo shows The Frontier as seen from The Stardust before The Stardust was imploded. Now both are gone.
