Period. Some people disagree. This, however, <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/5806691/NHS-tells-school-children-of-their-right-to-an-orgasm-a-day.html">should be too extreme</a> for any school administrator.<br /><br /><blockquote>The authors of the guidance say that for too long, experts have concentrated on the need for "safe sex" and committed relationships while ignoring the principle reason that many people have sex.<br /><br />Entitled Pleasure, the leaflet has been drawn up by NHS Sheffield, but it also being circulated outside the city.<br /><br />The leaflet carries the slogan "an orgasm a day keeps the doctor away". It also says: "Health promotion experts advocate five portions of fruit and veg a day and 30 minutes' physical activity three times a week. What about sex or masturbation twice a week?"<br /></blockquote><br /><br />Encouraging promiscuous behavior is NOT an acceptable function of the school system.<br /><br /><br />Found via Prof. Joseph Olson.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href='http://blog.princewally.com'>princewally's world</a><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5218806048147613217-3613774963329423928?l=blog.princewally.com'/></div>princewallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09801887076891107980noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218806048147613217.post-68938802678529344622009-07-13T11:05:00.002-06:002009-07-13T11:05:46.552-06:00Unique<a href="http://villageofjoy.com/25-motivational-posters/"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_YdqqIop9oGw/SltpV3G03tI/AAAAAAAAASI/5xCcbgvPnGE/s400/23-unique.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357992005978087122" /></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href='http://blog.princewally.com'>princewally's world</a><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5218806048147613217-6893880267852934462?l=blog.princewally.com'/></div>princewallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09801887076891107980noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218806048147613217.post-34084493197017646512009-07-13T11:03:00.002-06:002009-07-13T11:04:38.328-06:00The Geek Trap<a href="http://www.handrooster.com"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 388px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_YdqqIop9oGw/SltpDvcU35I/AAAAAAAAASA/LNy0ReILBQQ/s400/geektrap.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357991694683135890" /></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href='http://blog.princewally.com'>princewally's world</a><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5218806048147613217-3408449319701764651?l=blog.princewally.com'/></div>princewallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09801887076891107980noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218806048147613217.post-53559133237469221552009-07-10T11:10:00.000-06:002009-07-10T11:11:08.578-06:00Don't Gloat<a href="http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/07/09/palin.ethics/index.html?eref=rss_topstories">Your bias is showing</a>.<br /><blockquote>If Alaska Gov. But it is also equally a restriction on job seekers — my son cannot legally offer to take a job for less than $7.25, even though he would probably gladly do so. For teenagers, just gaining the experience of working and building basic skills (like showing up on time, following procedures, interacting with customers and fellow employees) has enormous value, such that even a nominal payment of a few dollars an hour would more than compensate him for his labor.</blockquote><div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href='http://blog.princewally.com'>princewally's world</a><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5218806048147613217-6052127778152988339?l=blog.princewally.com'/></div>princewallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09801887076891107980noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218806048147613217.post-72233615995031608362009-07-07T10:42:00.000-06:002009-07-07T10:43:08.973-06:00$100 Million<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cWt8hTayupE&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cWt8hTayupE&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href='http://blog.princewally.com'>princewally's world</a><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5218806048147613217-7223361599503160836?l=blog.princewally.com'/></div>princewallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09801887076891107980noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218806048147613217.post-4693769521072778742009-07-06T11:46:00.001-06:002009-07-06T11:46:36.385-06:00PVC Sprinkler Toy<object width="425" height="425" align="middle"><param name="movie" value="http://www.instructables.com/static/flash/viewer.swf"></param><param name="quality" value="high"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="FlashVars" value="title=KidWash-2-PVC-Sprinkler-Water-Toy"></param><embed src="http://www.instructables.com/static/flash/viewer.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="425" height="425" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="always" wmode="transparent" FlashVars="title=KidWash-2-PVC-Sprinkler-Water-Toy" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed></object><br><font size="1"><a href="http://www.instructables.com/id/KidWash-2-PVC-Sprinkler-Water-Toy/">KidWash 2 : PVC Sprinkler Water Toy</a> - <a href="http://www.instructables.com/">More DIY How To Projects</a></font><div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href='http://blog.princewally.com'>princewally's world</a><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5218806048147613217-469376952107277874?l=blog.princewally.com'/></div>princewallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09801887076891107980noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218806048147613217.post-50502463807347231262009-07-06T10:19:00.003-06:002009-07-06T10:22:54.294-06:00Healthcare, debunked<a href="http://smallestminority.blogspot.com/2009/07/boiling-pit-of-sewage-and-death-and.html">Kevin </a>quotes <a href="http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/07/01/better_health_care_97244.html">John Stossell</a> heavily in <a href="http://smallestminority.blogspot.com/2009/07/boiling-pit-of-sewage-and-death-and.html">this post</a>. Police say she blew a 0.12 on a breath test."<br /><br />The lesson: Don't pass out on top of your baby! That's not an accident, it's negligent.<br /><br />More meaningless statistics that don't actually support the context: "The most recent numbers, two years ago, show 39 babies died from unsafe sleeping environments in Minnesota." Those 39 deaths-out of approximately <a href="http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:nRWwUqAbm44J:www.health.state.mn.us/divs/chs/miniprofiles/state2003.pdf+birth+rate+in+minnesota&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us">70,000 babies born per year</a> in Minnesota; that's .05%, hardly a statistical worry-include blankets in cribs, babies left to roll off of couches, kids sleeping on floors and being stepped on, and anything else sleep related. Compare that to a rate of <a href="http://www.childrensmn.org/Web/SIDS/125897.asp">57.1 per 100,000 SIDS deaths</a> in 2002. That's not an apples-to-apples comparison. The rates are from different samples and there is an unknown amount of overlap between the two statistics.<br /><br />What is clear is that, without a control group-a horrible idea-complaints about family beds are "feel good" complaints not based in reality. There is not a single person railing against family beds who knows how often parents in a family bed have woken up to see a baby having problems that would have gone unnoticed if the baby had been in a crib.<br /><br />Base your decisions on reality, science and statistics, not the opinions of badly informed control-freaks.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><a href='http://blog.princewally.com'>princewally's world</a><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5218806048147613217-6200730426099160967?l=blog.princewally.com'/></div>princewallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09801887076891107980noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218806048147613217.post-70000540889655031352009-07-02T08:10:00.002-06:002009-07-02T08:11:26.469-06:00RemodelI am reasonably sure that if I show my wife <a href="http://lifehacker.com/5305465/kitchen-and-bathroom-makeovers-for-less-than-1000">this article</a>, I'll be out a couple of thousand dollars this summer.<br /><blockquote>Four in ten Americans say they intend to spruce up their homes rather than tackle a full remodel.
