Review of My Spending This Week

Wow! I was entering my weekly totals into my budget notebook, and I spent a very small amount out of pocket this week. I spent just under $8.00 for all this stuff!!! Here are the deals I got this week and the amount I spent.

Albertson's - Spent $ .44. Saved $52.37.

Another Albertson's Trip - Spent $2.78. Saved $45.63

Fred Meyer trip - Spent $2.09. Saved 33.86 (I used $5.50 of my rewards redemption & a $10.00 gift card I earned a long time ago, the rest was coupon savings)

I also ended up with $15.00 worth of Catalina coupons, and my Fred Meyer purchase is going to earn me a $5.00 rebate.

I headed to the mall, Mom needed a night out! My goal was to get some Christmas shopping done with the coupons and Kohl's cash I had. Here is what I got at the mall.

I had a earned $5.00 from Gymboree Rewards, so I picked these up for my sister who is expecting. They had an additional 20% off the clearance price, so after my $5.00 discount I paid $2.38. Saved $27.50.

I saw this bathrobe and knew my daughter would love it, I picked it up to give her for Christmas. I also added the gloves for some stocking stuffers. I had $20.00 in Kohl's cash from the Safeway deal, so after the sale prices and Kohl's cash I paid $ .11. Saved $41.90.

So, when all is said and done, I spent $7.80 this week, and saved a total of $203.26. Plus, I have the $15 in Catalina coupons and a $5.00 rebate coming.

This has to be my best week ever! I am thrilled. You can see how couponing can really save you some BIG money. I would love to hear about the deals you scored this week.

Have you signed up with Vocalpoint yet? If not, it is definitely something you should do. Vocalpoint sends out coupon and samples from lots of different brands. The coupons are sometimes for FREE items, I got a coupon for a FREE box of Rice Krispies, and several $1.00 off coupons to share with my friends. They also send out high value coupons, I received 2 coupons good for $3.00 off Kashi Go Lean crunch. I was able to find a sale and I got both boxes for FREE. You can also may receive products to try out. I received Olay Pro-X to try and share my opinion on. This retails for $40! They sent lots of $10 coupons that I can pass out to friends as well.

The price on the games (and possibly the movie) will only be good through tomorrow, Saturday the 14th. The Mr. Potato head is a regular price, and can be found in the Christmas section. It is considered a spud potato head, so she was able to use the $5.00 spud coupon at coupons.com. She was able to use the coupon for the UP DVD on the regular movie.

I received my December issue of Martha Stewart Living today, and inside was a coupon for $5.00 off any $5.00 purchase at Hallmark. This coupon should make for a free stocking stuffer or something I can put in a gift basket. Watch your mail, maybe these Hallmark coupons will show up in other magazines as well.

Target Black Friday Shopping Tip

Here is what I do when I comes to Target Black Friday shopping. Their advertised prices are good all day Friday and Saturday. Target has a price adjustment policy that allows you to get a price adjustment if something you buy goes on sale the following week.

Since, you know what items will be on sale, you can buy your items a couple of days ahead of time and then go in on Saturday or Sunday of the sale and get a price adjustment. Super easy! You are guaranteed to get what you want and you won't have to wait in the long check out lines. I have done this for several years and have never had a problem. This does not work for items that have a free gift with them (items that earn a FREE Target gift card). Also, because Target not price matches the line at the customer service center may be longer than it usually is when you get your price adjustment. View the Target ad in this post HERE.

Michael Buble' Crazy Love Giveaway

I received a copy of Michael Buble' "Crazy Love" from One 2 One Network, to review. (I also have one to giveaway - lucky you!). I am familiar with who Michael Buble is, but I have never really listened to his music. I went through a country music phase (my country lovin' Dad was so proud of me), so Michael Buble' just wasn't on my radar.

I have to tell you I am in love - Crazy Love - with Michael Buble'. He has the best voice. His slower songs are so soothing.
