Good point . . . I had always heard that 7th was going to be North bound traffic, which would make sense. Maybe the development page was confused.

It's quite possible that I'm confused (it happens on occasion) but you're right about Front St . . . it wouldn't make any sense at all to have no north bound exit artery.

One thing, though -- the change to 2nd means a loss of 2 N/B lanes. The Harrisburg Dev page says 7th is "become the primary artery to downtown when travelling from the North," but that's what Front St. is. Shouldn't 7th become the primary artery for leaving the city to the north? Otherwise there will be fewer lanes out of the city, which doesn't seem like a

I would think they'd be able to maintain parking on both sides of the street. There are currently 3 north bound lanes with parking on both sides. Convert those three lanes into two lanes, one north, and one south and they should be adequately sized with an allowance for parking on both sides.

I believe the intent is to make 2nd street more like 3rd Street, and 7th more like Front.
