GJP Players in the money!

It has been a good month for players on Green Joker Poker. Dara O'Kearney was the latest online qualifier to cash in a live event, in fact he cashed in Two! He was 6th in the JP Poker Irish Masters and 11th in the GUKPT Newcastle event.

Snakebite1 scored a whopping $100,000+ payday when he won the $500k ECOOPII event with another GJP player, dastalion, scooping over $20,000 for finishing 6th in the same event.

highlygifted was 15th in the $300,000 Gtd ECOOP II event winning nearly $4,000.

Dave Masters is currently over in Manila about to play in the Asian Poker Tour event, the package was won on Green Joker Poker and hopefully Dave will get a nice chunk of dough to bring home.

You can qualify for some great live tournaments on GJP. At the moment we are running satellites to The Macau Irish Classic and the Gold Club €500+€50 game. This is in addition to all the regular GUKPT, WSOP & Asian Poker Tour satellites that are running. Check the tournament lobby for times and details.

Since the Irish Open there have been more Green Joker Poker players playing in live events across Europe.

Graham Clarkson qualified for the EPT San Remo and was very unlucky to go out just before the money when his overpair was cracked again similar to his exit near the money in the Irish Open.

Fran Egan and Mal Dawson won their seats to the GUKPT Manchester event. Both of them made the second day with Mal going on to cash in 14th for over £2500.

Robin Maharaj has just won his seat for the Newcastle leg that takes place in May.

Dave Masters has won his seat to the $1,000,000 Gtd Asian Poker Tour event in Manila which starts on May 27th.

WSOP qualifying is well under way and so far two Green Joker Poker players have won their seats to the main event: Ben Blackmore and Rory Rees.

John Keown finished in 9th place earning a cool €50,000 and also Green Joker Poker will be sponsoring him into next year's Irish Open for his great finish. Andrew Grimason also did really well finishing 12th for €24,000.

Don Fagan was unlucky to finish 23rd winning €18,000.

16 players are left in the Irish Open and 2 of them are Green Joker Poker qualifiers. Andrew Grimason has 320,000 and John Keown 195,000. Blinds are 10,000/20,0000. If either make the final 6 they will get paid into next years Irish Open by Green Joker Poker and if one of them wins they will get 3 years paid.

Micky McCloskey just pipped Fran Egan for top Green Joker Poker player on Day 1B of the Irish Open. Micky finished with 51,925 whilst Fran has a 48,600 stack going into day 2. Rob Taylor, Gavin Moir, Adam Fallon and JP McCann all made it through too.

John Keown was the highest placed Green Joker Poker player after day 1A finished up last night. Five out of the eleven players made it through the day with Andrew Grimason, Kieran Small and Don Fagan all above average too. Ivan Donaghy also made it through.

Unfortunatley we have a man overboard. Tony Rafferty flopped the nuts on an AJQ flop but by the end of the hand Brunson had a house. It took runner runner KJ to hit it although he did have a flushdraw also.

Keiran Small lost a decent pot early to the Devilfish but got his revenge when he busted him in an AA vs AK confrontation.

Andrew Griamson is up to 15k and Rory Rees not far behind on 13k.

Shane Harker having some bother down to 5k as is Don Fagan.

Fran Egan has made it through to the final day of the GUKPT London. 14 players returned with Fran pretty low on 101k. He got an early double up with AA against KQ and already a few players have fallen gining Fran every chance of being the first Green Joker Poker online qualifier to make a GUKPT final table.

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour London event starts today at the Vic. Green Joker Poker have three players in the event and they all start tomorrow. Sponsored player Rob Taylor will be joined by online qualifiers Fran Egan and Albert Kenny.

Both Fran and Albert are in good recent form. Fran was part of the 5 way vhop in the Deepstack main event and Albert recently won the Fitwilliam end of month €250 tournament.

Two more Green Joker Poker players locked up their Irish Open seats at the weekend. Derek Thorpe and Rob Taylor both got tickets in the Sunday night $320 satellite on Green Joker Poker bringing the total to 14 of Green Joker online satellite winners to the Irish Open.

Fran "Jackyback" Egan got his ticket to the GUKPT London event on Friday to join Albert Kenny who has already qualified.

GUKPT Walsall - End of Day

Unfortunately fortunes were not with the Green Joker Poker players or the rest of the Irish at the GUKPT Walsall. Rob Taylor went out in level 8 when his AQ was no match for KQ all in pre-flop. John O'Shea went a level earlier.

Tim Farrelly made it to the end of level 8 but flopped two pair against a straight. Noel Hayes and Ivan Donaghy were early victims, Ivan's AA no good vs K2 and Noel running AQ into KK. Paul Leckey went in level 5.

Mick McCool made it throught to day 2.

The GUKPT Walsall event Day 1b has been playing for two hours. Green Joker Poker online qualifier John O'Shea has had a rough couple of levels dropping down to 5.5k. Green Joker sponsored pro Rob Taylor is up to 11k.
