A little heads-up for anyone who cares - I'm currently working on what will be the first 'production' album in a long, long time. The album will still be available for download, but I will be making (I expect) 100 actual copies, which will be for sale through this blog (and a website which I also expect to launch this month).

The actual copies will consist of hand-made sleeves (potentially cloth-wrapped cardboard... I'm still thinking about the methods....) and will feature artwork inserts, et-cetera... I will be accepting payments through PayPal on a first-come = first-serve basis.

Keep yr eyes peeled and enjoy the autumn...

Recorded in a single evening, the latest Elixirs material is a much more focused affair, concerned more concretely on the interplay of drones and scorching guitar strings.

'Resonance' begins with a heavy sub-bass loop, lumbering on for some time before picking up steam with buried/distorted guitar stabs that give way to an electrified crescendo half-way through. The piece fades and emerges anew as an impassioned guitar solo floating atop a deep electric loop and screwdrivered accents. At last, it is shot through with a crackling tidal wave of noise, and collapses into nothingness.

'Suppression' is the counter-point to 'Resonance,' all muted/reverberating half-tones and harmonics humming with soft static and an impossible delay, a funeral procession for something long forgot.

It's all a humble milestone.
