The hottest new jeans label from the States, Hudson, has arrived at Mee. Our favourites are the wide legged in soft washed denim or white. They have a five pocket design with embossed buttons and studs, and look fabulous with high wedges or platforms. They are unbelievably soft and comfortable too. We've also got boot cut for that perfect everyday jean.

London Fashion Week

Three days in London and we came back feeling revived and inspired. We found some fabulous bags and the most incredible jewellery for this season, delivery due in the next few weeks. We can hardly bear the suspense!

For next season, it's dresses, dresses and more dresses. But they are completely fabulous. Lots of chiffon, beautiful prints, tea dresses, kaftans, and gorgeous colours including hot raspberry, turquoise, navy and dusky grey. The trouble is, we want them now, not in August!

We're still waiting for most of our new spring/summer stock, but it should be with us anyday now. But the knickers, gifts and beauty products are arriving thick and fast.

Delicious body lotions and bath gels from Le Compagnie de Provence, in Fig, Olive and Lavender, and Rose. Cute silk knickers embroidered with your star sign in bright hot colours from Playful Promises, as well as their delicious Black Orchid, White Truffle and Frangipani Body Butter. Pretty notebooks and address books, tealight holders, scented candles.

Some of the new things are now on the website, but over the next couple of weeks it will all be piling on, so please do keep checking back with us.

We'd like to apologise for a rather bare website. We're finally starting to get our new spring stock in, and will be photographing it all next week, so watch this space.

In the meantime, we're off to London Fashion Week this weekend, buying for autumn/winter 08/09 - can you believe it? We'll fill you in with what goodies we found next week.

Beat the January Blues

It's miserable, it's dark, it's raining, and it feels like a long time until spring. If you're not completely sick of the sales, the good news is that all our clothing at Mee has now gone down to 50%, so you can easily snap up a bargain or two.

Even better news is that we're off to the first of our buying shows this weekend, and from then on it's non-stop until the end of February. Believe it or not, some of it is for next autumn/winter, but we'll be buying plenty of things for spring too, which hopefully will start arriving in the next two weeks. We'll keep you posted.

Back to the rain: we've just had another delivery of our fabulous spotty umbrellas, a little something to make the rain seem not so bad after all.

Mee Christmas party!

Oh, what fun we had on Saturday night! It was the Mee Christmas 'do' and a chance to dress up to the nines. Our finest cocktail dresses, falses lashes, Chanel's Rouge Noir, glitter eyeshadow, and killer heels were all dusted of their cobwebs.
We ate delicious Greek food, drank a little too much wine, and danced 'til dawn at Bath's new Greek restaurant, Opa (where the waiters happen to be rather tasty too!).
And with the Mee girls still recovering, it's just as well we only do it once a year!

Christmas has come early to Mee. Our customers started Christmas shopping weeks ago - how very organised - so we thought we'd get into the festive spirit by doing our famous Mee Christmas windows.

They're sparkly, twinkly and completely gorgeous. Here at Mee, the rumours have been circulating for weeks that Jamie Oliver is opening a restaurant in Bath. And now it's official!

Jamie Oliver is opening the first branch of his new 'neighbourhood' restaurants in Bath, offering high quality, authentic Italian food at an affordable price. Obviously the girls at Mee are thrilled, we love a tasty Italian!

'Jamie's Italian', will open in early 2008 and we'll keep you posted.

Chocolate heaven

We're making some rather fabulous changes at meeboutique.com. We re-shooting all the product photographs to make them even more inspiring and tempting. And what's even better, is that every photograph will be taken at Mee, whether it's on a dressing table, in front of Mee's fabulous wallpapers or collages, or on the hand painted peony on the floor.
So please bear with us while the website looks a little mixed, with some products as they were and others in the new style. We will do our best to get them all done over the next couple of weeks, and then the website will look even more fabulous than ever.

Goodbye Blackstones

Our favourite takeaway kitchen and restaurant, Blackstones Kitchen, in Bath has closed, and we're so disappointed. Famous for their delicious bacon sandwiches, homemade organic burgers, chocolate brownies, and their innovative menus, they will be greatly missed by both us and many of Mee's customers.

Last week while we were in London we stumbled across the most fabulous treasure trove of delights on Carnaby Street. We were rushing on our way to an appointment when we did a double take. We were lured in by the piles of boudoir-esque beauty products, vintage-style perfume bottles, and silk flowers covering the walls.

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful is a boutique packed with girly gorgeousness. Perfumes with names such as Two Hearts Beating As One, and A Thousand Kisses Deep sit with bejewelled make-up. Eyeshadows, lip creams and glosses are packaged in the prettiest jewelled pots, there are carved wooden pots of face glitter, and jewelled-handled make-up brushes. And to top it all, they sell my favourite all-time beauty product, Smaragadine, a deliciously wicked bubble bath.

Quick... we put a load more Hannah Dulcie knickers onto the website yesterday and we're selling out already! Each pair is handmade by Hannah herself, using rare Liberty fabrics, so each style is limited, generally only one in each size, so they're completely unique.

London Fashion Week

Having just returned from London Fashion Week, we just wish it was next season now!

Despite all the raving reports on GMTV, London Fashion Week itself was rather quiet, although we picked up on some fabulous bags for spring, and placed orders with one of our favourites, Aura Bella. However, the rest of our days were jam packed with appointments with showrooms and agents. We may have aching feet and have accumulated a year's worth of taxi receipts in three days, but it was all worth it.

It was all about colour, colour, colour. Mee Boutique is going to look like a sweet shop with all the fabulous colours we're going to be getting in. Dresses, skirts, light knits, kaftans, tops, jeans, we saw it all. We can't wait.

And of course, it was part of our duty to pop into Zara, H&M and Topshop to check out what they're all up too. Zara was disappointing, Topshop was heaving and having tried on several pairs of shoes, the pressure all got too much and we had to leave. However, I did manage to pick up a rather fabulous pleated swing coat from H&M for the bargain price of £69! That's my winter coat sorted.

So we're now working on all our orders this week, and when that's out of the way, we'll be thinking about Christmas. Yes, Christmas!!! No rest for the wicked!

New arrivals

We've had even more deliveries at Mee.

More rumba pants from Honeydew as the first lot flew off the shelves in a matter of days. We'll get them onto the website as soon as we can grab a few pairs for long enough to photograph them!

Today, French label, Ambre Babzoe, delivered their gorgeous cashmere and silk boyfriend jumpers with fabulous fitted sequin sleeves, and silk blouses embellished with sequins.

We've got wool berets and gloves with pretty diamante jewels, and cosy scarves for when it gets colder from Lisbeth Dahl.

Thinking of spring

As the buying season for next spring/summer gets under way, we have already found lots of beaufiful things for Mee. Getting our head round next summer is always a bit of an odd one, when we're just starting to take delivery of cosy knits and cashmere gloves for winter!

However, we've found some fabulous jeans from LA label, LoFly; pretty dresses and tops from Australian label, Fleur Wood; gorgeous kaftans and tops from Reason; beachwear, kaftans, skirts and dresses from Mimimango; and silk dresses and tops in the most wonderful colours from Bellaju.

This weekend is London Fashion Week, so we'll be trawling the shows to find the most tempting pieces for you, so watch this space!

September is a busy old time for the girls at Mee. No only are we now buying for next spring/summer (more about that later in the week), but lots of fabulous bits and pieces are also arriving at Mee, on an almost daily basis.

Fantastic false eyelashes in black, silver, gold, and diamante, glitter eye make-up, handmade silk roses that can be worn as brooches or hair accessories, and Honeydew's famous Rumba ruffle knickers.

We've also stocked up on the brand new Fashion First Aid, the solution to all thoses annoying 'fashion' problems. Concealits for over-pert nipples, Tapeits for falling hems, slipping bra straps, and gaping blouses, and Underwhere?, the ultimate invisible boyshorts and thongs.
