The afternoon light at this beach (Heisler Park,Laguna Beach) is often a quick and fleeting gift. The painting was a very quick study as Lefty was tired by now and would only yield the palette knife. All praise should be directed to Lefty, whom we have come to find is somewhat insecure in her new found skills. This study is available for $100, plus shipping.Jane Fultonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13623173953393615745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5033572345316074189.post-46201491811718292482008-08-14T11:02:00.000-07:002008-08-14T11:09:30.486-07:00SWEET LITTLE WAVE
Since last posting, right arm has been surged and is whimpering under a cast. The rain clouds have traveled east and left their spring cousins to decorate the still cool ocean skies. The days are crisp; but brilliant ; with just enough moisture left over from the storms to set up some neat atmosphere. It's perfect weather for my June 19/20 workshop (still openings by the way, see workshop page on my website). Contact artist re sales at jfulton908@aol.com
Jane Fultonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13623173953393615745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5033572345316074189.post-20936130604908088252008-05-21T09:22:00.000-07:002008-05-22T15:20:52.649-07:00
It's been a wild couple of days here at the beach. As the hot front moves off to the east and the low moves in from the north...the ocean hearlds the return of the sea winds with major waves and crashing surf. When I hear the surf pounding the beach at night I know I will be up early to grab my painting gear and head for the beach at first light. Here is "Surf's Up" an 8 x 10 that emerged from these efforts. Available for $25o, unframed. I find that the best view point to paint the ocean is as close as I can get without swimming. The ocean is reluctant to give up the secrets of her beauty. You have to watch and listen closely. This study served to inspire a larger painting and is now available to a new home. The study "Boom" is available for $350 unframed(sold) Contact artist at jfulton908@aol.comJane Fultonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13623173953393615745noreply@blogger.com
