I'm really excited to go back to this system. . . had my BeBox fired up recently and was reminded how much the world lost.

schultzenheimernoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999133454600766463.post-69867717565472575042008-03-22T00:59:00.003-04:002008-03-22T01:36:19.293-04:00The State of HaikuHaikuware.com has the Weekly Super Pack, a 110MB .7z file that expands to a 10GB VMware image loaded with HaikuOS and a bunch of applications. I opened up Gobe Productive and did some word processing, I browsed the file system with Tracker, it was all very brilliant.

More good news: Haiku will once again be a part of Google's summer of code. Up and coming programmers apply here, they're open for ideas on projects to assign.

Are you a student looking for work in computer science? This is a great opportunity to learn about operating system design, you will be the architect.

schultzenheimernoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999133454600766463.post-80698176051997557352007-02-18T10:09:00.000-05:002007-02-18T14:02:53.277-05:00Haiku Progresses, R1 Alpha AnticipatedA booth at the Southern California Linux Expo and a developer's lecture at a recent Google Tech Talk (video stream and photos) have Haiku poised for a great year.
