Yesterday I showed you the pictures of my tatted heart in the angel and the heart patterns.
These patterns are from Jane and I may use them at the tat days in Columbia SC
Jane chalanged us to do something with sequins. Well I used a circle of mother of pearls. This is also a workshop for the Palmetto's. But you can't buy those circles all over the world, so I cut a circle out cardboard, same size. On that circle I glued pictures on booth sides. Here is the result.
When you make more circles you can put them together and make a mobile

Working for the Palmetto Tatdays

I couldn't show this earlier, this are 2 patterns for my workshop at the TAT days.

The designs are from Jane Eborall, she was so kind to let me use them Her design in booth, heart and angel, is with e real heartbead. I tatted a dimple heart to use in stead of the bead. So when tatters don't have a heart bead they can do it in this way.

As you all know after tatdays you can buy a CD with all the patterns.

She did it again. Who you will say, well Ineke Kuiperij.

She started in 2001 with her first book, the Nativity set.

And she showed it in Horstmar.

After the first one, every year, she came with a new ook .

So she did this year, this is a totaly tatted carousel.

It is so beautifull.

The pictures in the book are black and white, I show some.
Here is 1 of the 4 horses, 2 white ones and 2 black horses .

But there is more a realy nice swan to sit in and a kind of fantasy bench and another kind of bench, but the picture didn't came out that nice

She used as a frame to hang on everything, the metal frame of a dartboard. There are just as in a real carousel, those coloured hangings above and there are mirrors and so on and so on

All the patterns for this carousel are in a book the name of the book is Nostalgie.

I am realy proud of this dutch designer

angel. And what really is fun I could make a bow in the ends so didn't have to hide them

At least I found a way to put the flowers in clear glas.

The flowers are made with a pattern of Ineke Kuiperij from her book Allerhande 1.

The thread is aurifil # 50/2, a bobbinlace thread, thinner than DMC 100

the leaves are made with a pattern from Tonie Storer's book Tatting Down The Garden Path

taken away, so you can see the flowers better.

Don't you think this is better than the white sand?

At least it worked
I bought some glas name tage holders for on a dinertable, instead of real flowers I tatted a flowerand want to put that in the holder, my my what a struggle.
Nithing worked. Now you see it and in the glas is some sand, not that nice, but I think I will buy something what you use for kandles. It is clear and you have it in some colours.
I think I will use green .
It will be much nicer when you can look through the glass I think

I still am busy with all kinds of things that had to be done.

Here is a little thing that had to be on a zipper.

It is a pattern of Jane Eborall

They are really funny and verry fast done, but there is always the problem, to find an empty shuttle and to find the beads and the thing to hang on.

Here is an angel, my own design, I used the skirt of the Sun Bonnet Sue motif in the Big Book of Tatting, to create this angel,

The pattern is to find on the class on line.

There are two different angels, the flower is from Helma Siepmann.

This one was ordered and I am happy it is ready, so I can bring it away

Have to do still two flowers and have to do something with a little box for our Guild meeting and that is in 2 weeks. I always run out of time.

So let us go on.

special done for the members of my guild who don't read english and they like it to take part in all these things. Let us be honest, most of the tatting comes from english sites.

Here is chalange 3 from Jane Eborall, tatted by a pattern made by Gina Oschmann a dutch tatter and member of our guild. The pattern and the diagram is on my dutch blog. I will translate it into english, but again time. I am also busy with the patterns for the palmetto tatdays.

Here is the result of the TIAS of Jane Eborall. It was realy fun and I hope that there will be more of this kind of things. At this moment the hippo's are flying in from all over the world to Jane.

Meaby a chalange for someone to gave him/her wings???????

I promissed you that I should let you see some children that came on 6 januari at my front door to sing a song They are dressed up as kings and carry with them a bag or basket for the sweets they suppose to get.

In the first picture you see three kings there were four

(that are children, sometimes there is only 1 king and he sings three kings three kings gave me a new hat)

the little king was shy and hide herself , but I got her the second time.

There she is still shy and the the little boy looks like asking "what is going on here" Children always surprise you.They also have with them Chinese Lanterns

When you go down town you see a lot of those children, but also adults and they sing wonderfull . Most off the time it is a choir and they sing for monney. They have special projects, they sing for and it happened that the kings are sitting on real camels. I was not down town this year, was to busy making my special dutch blog for TIAS

It is time you hear something isn't it.

I am verry busy with the TIAS from Jane it is really a nice thing to do. I tatted the 9 day and show it here.

But also a lot of work, because I translate the blog of Jane in dutch, because I have members in my guild who don't reed english. So I created a second blog in dutch .

I recived a new years card

I am realy proud about this little one almost 9 month old now.

She is always laughing and verry fond of my little dog Camille.

my christmas things

I don't have a tree, I have a stable with a bunch of angels, there are much more, but I only took out some. It is in my room from 24 of dec till the sunday after the special day 6 januari the day we remember the three kings visit the new born king .

In our city children go in the streets with burning Chinese lanterns and clothed like the kings. they come to your dore and you gave them some sweets.

When they come next sunday I will take pictures and show you.

We had our christmas exchange over here and tatted an angel in a ball for one of the members, it is not so clear but I hope you see the angle and the leafs with berries .

I start with my TAT masters hope to do more than last year, because I didn't do anything.

Hello here I am at least. Lots of things happened I can't tell that all, I had a verry nice time in Lexington meaby I will tell you something in the comming time, now I will just wish you all a happy new year and for the tatters who were at the Palmetto tatdays, do you see one off the sockmonkeys?

I packed them all and put them under the christmas tree at my sons place, one for Nora who just unpacked it with her daddy and the other three went to her three nieces.

We told the girls where the monkeys came from Santa got them in the States.

They all love the monkeys.

The other picture is a candle holder and in the holder is the xmastree from free pattern of dec, woops forget the name, but I think you know who it is.

Erin and Sherry there are more pictures of the monkeys I will mail them to you as soon as I have them, the one here I took my self.

At least some tatting on my blog. I am preparing patterns for the palmetto tatdays. I didn't write down what I was tatting the blue one, so I had to do it again. This time I wanted frontside backside, so there is some difference betwween the 2 stars. I put on the blog the front side on yhe top and the backside is comming

under, so you can see the difference.

Here is also a new picture of Nora, my little scouting girl, do you like it?

She is about three months old on the picture, but it is a little bit tricky, she can't sit, it is also the outfit what let her look older

Hallo Allemaal Hi Every body

Ik heb een aantal weken gewacht met de foto's van het geboorte kaartje van Nora

I waited several weeks before I show you the card from my grand daughter Nora.

Een aantal mensen woonde zo ver weg , dat het even duurde voor het kaartje aankwam.

Some poeple live so far away that it took alot of days before the card arived.

Het zou niet leuk zijn als ze de foto's zouden zien voordat ze het kaartje hadden ontvangen

It wasn't nice to see the pictures before they had the card.

Booth the parents are living on a big pink cloud.

Nora is a cute little one, who allows her parents to sleep wel and she only cries when something is wrong, hungry or she wants a new nappy or she lost her dummy.

The nurses in the Hospital said, the newborn princes Ariane (daughter of Prins Willem Alexander and Princes Maxima born on the same day) was handsom, but they said Nora is much more handsom.

I think they were right.

Here she is , my little grand daughter. She is born on Tuesday 10 april early in the morning at 5.48 hours.

At seven o'çlock the phone waked me and as I picked it up I knew the baby is there, I heard her crying. Everything was all right and both the parents were verry verry happy.

Above is Alice, the praud mother, with Nora .

We are still waiting for the baby. We (Alice my DIL and Edwin my sun and I) wait and wait.

Alice was 40 weeks pregnant on 26 of march so the little one can come everyday now.

No ladies, I don't know if it is a boy or a girl, I am an old fashion woman who want to be surprised.

Edwin and Alice know it.

Alice is knitting , She already knitted a blanket and now she knitted from the rest of the thread little animals. Two mice and a cat as you can see in the pictures.

The cat and the mice are in the playpen what already is in their living room

Everything is ready, so the little one can come.

There is no tatting, I am to restles to tat.

Hope next time I can let you know that the little one is there.

stolen bookmark tatted second time

One off my first daisy picot designs was a bookmark.
It was on my blog somewhere in august or september.
Than there were thiefs in my house and the little box with the bookmark was gone.
This week I tatted it again and here is the result
I used 4 shuttles, two different threads. each color was on 2 shuttles CTM.
I started with adaisy picot split ring and than 2 chains. 2 daisy picot rings, 2 chains and so on the tail is pearltatting on the 2 threads in 1 color, so the tail is a little bit thicker

mardi grass

On severall list they were talking about mardi grass, first didn't know what it was. Later on I understood and I find out it is something like carnaval.

Well here is my yongest sun in his carnaval outfit, I took the picture just before he went to the party.

It has something to do with the enviremont

The party goes on until tuesday midnight. Most of the time they are in the streets downtown. Sunday there will be a parade

It is valentjne day, here are my recently designed hearts with daisy picots

There are two patterns or I should say three

The two bigones is a pattern and I also used that pattern as a bookmark, you have to change the pattern a little bit .

The other three hearts is just the same pattern , only done in different sizes of thread

The big ones is Oren Bayan #50 the little one is DMC # 80

I think this will be a nice earring, meaby the others are to big there is picture of one of them with a quarter dollar next to it

The patterns of these hearts are send to Ruth for the calander, so wait and see

This is after I tatted three hearts, the first hearts were not as I wanted them, this is the best one. I wonder if you can wear it as an earring. I mailed the pattern to Ruth for on the calander, I hope she can use it
