well well well, its been a looong time since i decided to tackle this, but now most definatelly seems the right time to do so.

And so, just for a wee while, the songs can be stalled, while the percussion loops are given a small promo.

I am going to remove all my political audio files from the humyo account, and dedicate it to the promotion of Wav-Central, aswell as all the songs of-course.

Now the format is NoT what i envisage for WC (Wav-Central) as i really want it to be a jam tool, aswell as a resource for drum loops. But as I am not making money from my audio, neither am I spending it. And so the free resources on-line will suffice for now.

But, I do have some ideas, that I will be proposing to some software writers out there at the moment (small scale of-course) and this I will be keeping close to my chest for now.

I did try WC a while back on free web space but the reliability wasnt there, so for now Im using my Humyo Account, and by the end of this Year, I expect to have a better idea of where I want to take it.

The truth is I always meant it as a Jam tool for me, and realised just how good it would be for other Musos.

So, Finally! - Expect it here, and soon to, but not as jammy, but crammed with samples, allbethem in MP3 for now, and there for all to audition or even download as mp3 if you have a Humyo Account, and expect it soon.

Jsm & CLC First Eva Duet

Kind of Day Today

My first Eva proper Duet with my Second Favourite Princess, my neice Charlee, and boy am i proud of her... (no1? always Di, always Di)

Now i have been doin this for a while now, and Im an old b****r you see. But Laalis only 10! Yep 10 i said. But it gets better. You see when i jam, i just make up lyrics as i go along. A skill i learnt from my early old skool hip hop days. And my little princess has just sort of played along with me and followed this random approach, so much so, she's starting to gain this skill. And this is truly the first time that WE have collaborated on an inspired jam, which lets face it, with the right resources, would make a nice little tune...

And when my beepin CD-Recorder isnt playing up, and shes in an inspired mode, she quite literally goes through my ''wavs to sing to folder'' and just jams to whichever wav-loop she feels like, and i manage to record them. now you muso geeks will know that getting someone so young to just make lyrics up like that really is quite unusual. Hopefully she sticks at it...

Well, it wasnt untill a couple of nights ago, while listening to some edits and programming I had applied a while back, to a VERY POPULAR movie hit tune, that I was sooo pleasantly re-assured of its quality and viabillity on hearing it once again, and definatelly warranted some public attention...

Having said that, I deem the idea to be that good, and sooo very commercially viable, at its simplist as a re-done housey PoP tune, that I have decided not to post it up at all. And allthough normally i would post a small selection on-line for preview purposes only so as to respect Copyright Infringements, I know only to well this idea will be nicked immediatelly by other good programmers and producers, and thus my chance will be gone. And the ones I do post, well, they really are just the typical run of the mill to me now. But this, this is something different, something special i think, allbeit a bit too meee! (jsm that is)

And the irony, is its such a good potential re-vamp, but by any-one, not just me. And taking into account the popularity of the film, it just cant go wrong! But humbly for now, it must remain under wraps, residing on my very small hard drive (no really) untill such time the right time and path bekons. Its also greeaaat to be at the stage, where you know in your heart of hearts, your good ideas, aswell as your not so good. WoW, what a gem waiting to be discovered I have, and you wont get to hear it here. SorrY!

Now I have had an informal telephone call and a chat about this little baby from someone in the TV/Ad Industry (i thinks) showing an interest, allthough she did make it clear that there were many potential pieces under review apart from mine (I tend not to get excited at all now until i see something in writing... :)

Now this really is a favourite of mine, and my nephew Scotts tooo, hence the reason hes splashed everywhere in pic as he decided a while back he wanted to appear in the Video Production to this...

I decided to rip the varying versions and post them for all to hear and Njoy! and make sure you listen to the original tracks 7 and 8, and you will hear my small influence from the old skool hip hop, aswell as how this was originally formalised, but commercialised of-course!!! and thnx to Chard for his excellent influences, and all legal tooo of-course...

Old Skool Beats, A nice Bluesy Guitar lick, very simple laid back editing, of-course the SL1200's scratching, me and some dodgey Beat Box, and a nice lick of lyrics to finnish it off. A definate uplifter for the younger male generation... till next time... (song info)

Sunny Side, a Simple Un-Plugged Happy Chappy Pop, with an uplifting vocal hook and Guitars to boot!

The backing was originally put together for a Fat-Boy-Slim idea which would have worked easily in its own right. But when Chard and I jammed to the backing with some guitars, and then subsequently free-styled some lyrics on top, the influence of the guitars took the vocal approach in a totally different direction, and hence what you hear here.

Saturday morning, 7am, walking home from a very heavy night of Alcohol, NOT drugs, sl1200s, guitars n gossip...

For some weird reason i always wake up early after a binge, although it has to be said the throat does suffer some as a consequence...

Anyway, thru the back gate, console the dog that its me, open the back door straight into heaven, my recording studio...

First things first, get the F* kettle on, and power up the studio. (1 switch at the top of the cabinet an pow, its ALL on and ready to go)

OK, the tea's made and boy does it taste good, but my bloody throats reminding me that i really am getting too old for superstrength largers. (i do miss them tho)

PC pentium 200mmx (yaawwwnnnn) took its time, but its up n ready, headphones on with 5metre extension to reach into the garden. You see, on friday i had come up with another new idea on the tanglewood acoustic guitar, and can vaguely remember editing the loops ready for auditioning and jamming to.

akg300 plugged in and on extension too, and we can F* the pop filter right off, the way im feeling, im surprised i found the house, never mind anything else.

Anyway, double click the shortcut on desktop to the loop i made the day before, headphones on and loud, mike in 1 hand, tea in the other, straight into the back garden to watch the squirrels and pigeons fighting over the seeds put out by my dear Dad.

After a couple of mins, the teas done, the mood has definately set in, and its time to let the loop do the talking and i just, well, follow with whatever comes into my head, quite literally...

(( as an old skoll hip hop freak, as well as the weird beat box sounds i used to make in my younger days, i also became quite profficient at free-style rapping, ie...making it up as you go along ))

Phew! It must have been about half an hour now, i cant do anymore, my throats F sore, i badly need some more tea, Im badly losing concentration, and nothing feels like its goin good at all.

Enough, back, inside, stop the Phillips Audio CD-recorder!

Bath, tea, BED!!!

Later that evening, really awake now, and in a serious work mode.(for some reason after a binge recovery, i become very capable of achieving the more mundane tasks with regarding my music)

While working, I rip the CD into the desktop, and run my usual batch file processing's before i start the personal touches, ALL with CePro...

Eventually, i get to yesterdays loops and todays jamming session in the back garden... (its about midnight now!)

And while i sit there listening, for probably the first time EVER! I listen and wonder where the F* this came from.

Its then, i realise, that in all my years of very clever Organic Audio programming, arranging, ((blah blah blah....)) there are some things that I just cannot predict or presume, programm or project.

I cannot logically approach all my music with regiment and linear lines. Now this is a very hard concept for me to deal with. Im much more comfortable with the scenareo of 'Odds Against' as apposed to the 'If when, maybe never' scenareo, but you know, im a very liberally minded person and i'll get over it. Life is a learning curve so they say.

And to this day, (two years or so on now) when i listen to this, i can taste the tea, i can smell the breeze, im there outside now jamming this once again, and the squirrels and birds fight in the garden, but theres only 1 thing thats missing from all this supposed scenareo, then, and now.

...just who helped me write this, and where is she (well i hope its a she LoL). Wow, i really wish i could sit and talk with the person on the other side of this song. Maybe one day eh, maybe one day...

'BANG' song video using Quake1 engine.

BANG a Death-Match Multi-Media Video Presentation using the Quake1 Engine graphics to create an intense video for an angry, aggressive, un-compramising song track...

This Multi-Media promo has taken a long long time to do, but is slowly getting closer to completion now. The Song and Video so far are about 6minutes, allthough the finnished product I am guessing will end up at about 15mins, including an instrumental and player free map sound-scape.

I still want to apply some video effects, as well as editing the audio more dynamically, so as to add to the impact of the video, aswell as following the Gfx I still have to add. I will be sooo glad to put this little baby to rest, as it really had been all blood, sweat and tears, but as you can allready see, its been well worth it! And finally then, Quak1 and all my related goodies can finally Rest in Peace. hmmm, or maybe not?

Now look, Im gonna be totally biased so get over it!

Yep! we all say that eh, I knooooww, but anyways, from time to time when I am working in my studio, and the kids turn up, they immediately begin to take over my studio, and I leave them to it, but with the RECORD BUTTON ON!

And occasionally, we actually construct a small song or two, you know what I mean. And I have to say that Charlee definately has the most staying power in this department, so much so that she created these gems below... Catch-Up here...

psst, dont forget the rest of the kids section tooo for the more maternially inclined out there... :wink: aaah bless, they sound sooo cute when they are young eh!

Copelands 'Welcome Love' gets a face-lift

Now when I first heard the original version of 'Welcome Love' by 'Copeland' I immediately knew i could give this a face-lift, allthough I didn't realise just how good it would turn out to be...

Have a listen to a preview clip ...here... (reduced to protect Copyright Owner) and you will hear just how much more impacting this song now is.

You will notice the song has been transformed from being an Easy Glam Rock number to an Explosive, Foo Fighters meets Green Day number. And without putting tooo much emphasis on the learning curve, I didnt realise just how much post production could achieve when being applied to a live performance until I worked on this track. A real big eye opener I can tell you. But then, it has to be said, I was allready working with a Brilliant Track in its own right, so you could say the hard work was allready done, and by Copeland!

And would you believe his little home-made efforts from my humble Recording Studio has continously been in the top ten hits on this web-site. So i thought I would renew the link here to see if he can get the number 1 position.

I get the impression its people using search engines to find Wheatus and Erasure songs. I still have the original 7inch by Erasure which was an enormous dance floor filler when i was still DJ'ng. Well, thats one way to get hits on your site I suppose...

After some heavy Audio Editing, and High Compression, the 45 seconds video has now managed to capture the full dynamics of the 6 minute song... Cheewi Cheep Aaaah - goes the SL1200

I spent hours and hours ... trying to find the right scratch for a song of mine, but didnt seem to have much luck.

Well, that was until i decided to give up, and just take a trip down my SL1200 memory lane, playing some of my old favourites 7inches and LP's. And while playing LIPPS Inc 'Funki Town' guess what, !!PRESTO!! i found just what i was looking for.

My songs called 'STOP THE TRAIN' and i havent got to posting the finnished version here yet but dont you worry, once i got my wonderful voice back n working you will get a preview I promise... (hmmm)

the 'Big Bad Beats' Promotion

ok, oK, OK, Since I slipped up on the 'Big Bad Beats' promo c.d which I was supposed to launch in 1999, I decided to pull the plug on it (about 50 cd's went out though). The AnArAkS out there would have spotted the terrible phazing on some of the songs, no excuses here,,,I just ''Plain-F****d-Up''.

Anyway, I've been asked if you can still down-load some of the tracks, and so, against my better judgement, here they are in their original quality, until I get round to re-do'ing them...(I will re-edit them if and when they get attention as I am waaay to busy makin more newer tunes :)

And just to make your ears bleed, you get to hear them in full length, so get those ear-plugs out all!
