Forget "Ning.com" - It Sucks!

Ok, I gave Ning.com a try but it just sucked.

I couldn't upload photos and videos, which I thought would be a great feature. The sight claims that you could upload photos and videos but it never worked.

Another stupid thing about Ning.com are those stupid ads that ran along the right side of your Network page.

I don't want ads on my page!

So, I've decided to keep this Blog as the official ijeannieTV Station site, until I find something better.

Updates:

I now have a dedicated machine to run the live cam and the new Seasonal Channel. Which means, that I don't have to shut those down whenever I want to use my main server to watch movies.

The Live Cam and Seasonal Channel will stay on 24/7!

I am thinking of perhaps moving the "Best Hits of the 80's" channel there, as well, but I'm not sure I want to do that just yet.

If I do, I'll post a message on here.

ijeannieTV Station is back and looking forward to adding new videos for the up coming holiday seasons!!!

Oh, yeah!

We've finally added a new video card to our server and it's back on-line!

Please be patient. We have almost 100 videos we have to set up onto the server and also set-up in our encoder. Soon, we will have them all back up and running.

Sit back and enjoy those great hits of the 80's once more.

Remember the good old days, when MTV only played music videos and the videos weren't "X-Rated"? Now you can relive those days again, whenever you want.

Remember the old days when MTV actually played decent music videos and hardly any commercials? Remember the "Age of Decedence"? How could we forget the long hair, the music video rage, and old Van Halen?!

Well, re-live it once again, with our Best Hits of the 80's Channel!

Sit back and enjoy these creative videos of the past and try to remember what you where doing when these videos came out.

We currently have a total of 96 music videos in our 80's channel and many more are added all the time.

We'd love to know if there is an 80's music video you would like us to add to the collection. We'll let you know if it is already in our current collection or not.

Welcome to the ijeannie Internet TV Station! My original TV station is the TikiCam TV station, but I have decided to slowly move the station to blogger. So, here we are!

What is the ijeannie TV Station?
Well, I've always wanted to run my own TV station. Haven't we all?
This is an internet TV Station I run, myself, on one of my computers. So far I have about 3 channels running and I will add more shows and more channels in the near future.

It features shows, videos, movies, and other things that I think would be great to "air".

How Do I Do It?
I've seen plenty of internet radio stations around, but not many Internet TV Stations. The TV Station idea pretty much runs on the same concept. So, if you have ever run your own Internet Raido Station, you can run your own Internet TV Station.

Let's go to the next step, Live Cams, which pretty much shows how the Internet TV Station works. Instead of showing a live feed, however, you just add your shows or videos. So, if you have ever run a live cam, you can run your own Internet TV Station, as well.

The software I use is Windows Media Encoder, which is free to download. It alows you to add you live cam, videos or other media files in the line-up to be played.

You also need a good imagination! Create your own Station promos!

Remember to open the right ports on your firewall too.
