The legislation was being written during the vote. Not one single member of the House of Representatives had read the thirteen hundred (plus) completed pages.

A few months ago this same group of miscreants voted for over one trillion dollars of spending to keep unemployment below 8%, without reading the bill. A handful of Republican Senators pushed this legislation into the win column.

The majority of Americans now realize that there was no correlation between the levels of employment and the government takeover of the financial institutions and the auto industry. In retrospect, it was a government power grab. Need evidence? The Treasury just announced that any knowledge of the administration and dissemination of this money is off limits to the public.

This didn’t stop seven Republican dwarfs from voting with the majority of Democrats for Cap & Trade. You can bet your last dollar that it benefited their standing with the bureaucrats, unions, environmental liars, welfare parasites, campaign contributors, and a few select corporations (i.e., GE, Johnson & Johnson, John Deere, etc.) that have been promised a direct pipeline to the US Treasury.

Eighty-five percent of the carbon taxes will go directly to corporations. And you will appreciate this. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are overseers of the fund’s dispersion.

The world’s leading experts have repeatedly stated that controlling carbon emissions will have zero impact on the health of the environment. They have presented a preponderance of evidence that disproves the relationship between carbon emissions and global warming.

It’s public knowledge that the EPA hid documentation that mirrored this conclusion. And for the record, all vegetation on this planet requires carbon to survive. No carbon means no trees, no crops, and no life on land or in the sea.

A few years ago Germany introduced similar restrictions on carbon emissions. It is now gutting the legislation which only served to cripple its economy. The tax burden suffocated its ability to compete in the world market and reduced the standard of living of its citizens. And it didn’t reduce carbon emissions.

Be afraid. If the Senate passes this legislation, the door is opened for government to determine the amount of energy a family can use. If a household exceeds its allotted ration, the overage will be billed at exponential rates.

Mr. Obama and Pelosi’s bill also gives the federal government the right to enter private homes and audit their energy efficiency. Unless a home is in compliance with the government’s definition of energy efficiency it can’t be sold. How many millions of older homes will be abandoned; how many neighborhoods destroyed?

No energy supplier will be required to reduce its carbon generation. But that is not the point of the legislation. It is intended to place every aspect of energy under federal control.

Pelosi’s estimate that the average family will only see a $15/month increase in its energy bills is pure fiction. Non-partisan experts predict Cap & Trade will raise electric bills between 80% and 90%.

And the cost of everyday goods, like food and clothing purchased by families, will rise between 20% and 30%. To survive, America’s manufacturers will move offshore, which will send unemployment in the private sector beyond comprehension.

In truth, Obama and Pelosi have all but bankrupted the United States in their quest to control the financial institutions. Now they want absolute control of energy and healthcare, and they are willing to destroy our standard of living to accomplish this objective.

This aggression is not about Republicans verses Democrats. It’s about Government verses the People. Congress and Obama must be stopped!

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-54849821230082665342009-06-29T08:54:00.002-04:002009-06-29T08:58:42.280-04:00State EmigrationCalifornia is a mess. The liberals running this welfare palace came face to face with the taxpayers who couldn’t afford to escape. Mr. Obama, who read the national polls, won’t lend them a dime and the remaining California taxpayers shot down any increase in taxes.

The real problem that the California politicians have is that the citizens still have options. Businesses and the industrious are voting with their feet. They are clearing out in droves. And it is no surprise that the throngs of bureaucrats, illegal aliens and welfare recipients can’t find others to pay for their luxuries.

Michigan, New Jersey and Massachusetts have the same problem. They are running out of people willing to fund the blood suckers. Like California, the Democratic majorities running these welfare colonies thought the revenue stream was infinite.

They are beginning to see the flaw in their methodology. Raising taxes increases the burden on those who remain behind, which in turn accelerates the stampede. Once state revenues overreach their maximum elasticity the economies implode, infrastructures deteriorate, and unemployment hits the stratosphere.

The intelligent are bailing out of these welfare conclaves before there are no buyers for their homes and businesses. In the vernacular, they are getting out while the getting is good.

Now, the only hope for the liberals running these states is that Obama, Reid and Pelosi will bleed the other states dry. National healthcare, trillion dollar deficits, blanket amnesty, open borders, and Cap & Trade will pretty much crush private enterprise, which will curtail the appeal of the Red states.

Once the escape valve is closed the liberals believe they won’t have to compete in a free market. These clowns are in for a rude awakening. Capital and business will flee the US shores along with America’s best and brightest.

Innovation and capital investment drive the commerce which funds government. Pull this plug and diversity, multi-culturalism and affirmative action become moot.

Reverse discrimination and class warfare won’t immediately become antiquities. They will last until there is no income to redistribute and only second-rate candidates are available to fill the diminishing vacancies.

Be confident a few enterprising countries will see the opportunity that Obama, Reid and Pelosi are offering. They will put out the welcome mat for the Fortune 500, Wall Street and our engineers, scientists and medical practitioners.

And be equally assured that their welcome signs won’t include the US’ tired, poor and huddled masses yearning to breathe free. The agenda of Obama, Pelosi and Reid is to America what drought is to fertile land. They are a curse on the United States of America.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-33461771421545973222009-06-25T08:06:00.000-04:002009-06-25T08:07:05.946-04:00A Lousy DealIt appears that Mr. Obama’s popularity has reached a crescendo. About sixty percent of the people still like this hip, cool cat, but they are backing away from his agenda. If the economy suddenly brightens he will again be on solid ground, but that’s a frayed lifeline.

Right now his administration is in mud right up to the top of its boots. It’s the staggering deficit that he built, with the help of Pelosi and Reid, which has folks twitching. As it turns out, moderate Democrats and Independents aren’t willing to sell the financial independence of their children and grandchildren for thirty pieces of silver.

Of course, his drooling supporters don’t have a problem with destroying private enterprise and our national security for that price. In truth, they don’t understand the relationship between business, productivity, capital investment, employment, prosperity and the generation of taxes which funds their lifestyle.

His hardcore constituency is comprised of bureaucrats, illegal aliens, ignorant environmentalists, union members and welfare recipients. These are not the people that fuel the engine of commerce that keeps America’s beacon shining. They are the sludge in the tank.

Compared to the goals of these freeloaders, Iran’s President Ahmadinejad is a wonderful man who is merely a victim of bad publicity.

Obama’s nationalization of the banks and the auto industry, his bailout of the Wall Street elite, his effort to double or triple the cost of energy, while printing money, pushing blanket amnesty for illegal aliens and promoting an unfunded, government takeover of healthcare have people questioning his agenda.

Of course, the fiscally literate, including the Congressional Budget Office, are questioning his sanity and the intelligence of his followers.

The Middle Class is beginning to realize that its income is on the short list for income redistribution. And Pelosi, Reid, Barney and Obama are offering a lousy deal. They are buying the freedom and independence of America’s industrious with the money they plan on confiscating from them.

That’s like being forced to dig your own grave before being shot and dumped in the hole. And that is a perfect description of Obama economics. His agenda is digging capitalism’s grave; which this golden-tongued wonder is selling as tilled garden plots.

The 2010 congressional elections may not come soon enough. Pelosi, Reid and Obama still have eighteen months to undermine America’s greatness. The country is in grave danger, and there is no sign that the mainstream media is interested in challenging the implications of their socialist agenda.

These sycophants have raised pandering to an art form high enough to cast a shadow on the flags flying over our national cemeteries. They shame the nation, its Constitution and every person who believes in liberty. Compared to them, Obama is just a national disgrace.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-17299895868085807952009-06-22T07:41:00.002-04:002009-06-22T07:44:14.382-04:00Freedom FightersWhen the politicians are in control of investigating and prosecuting the theft of government property and other felonies, the infractions are frequently ignored to protect friends, colleagues and campaign contributors.

The practice of protecting political insiders exists on every level of government, and is not peculiar to Democrats or Republicans. The bevy of tax evaders uncovered when Mr. Obama was filling executive posts is indicative of the attitude of the politically connected.

They are an insulated, protected species. Before the era of government partnered infomercials the mainstream media would tie bells on these cats. Now the media arrives on the White House grounds with sound dampeners and tunnel vision, ready to parrot the approved questions.

Fox News is the only outlet that still practices journalism. And make no mistake about it; its reporters are personae non grata at the White House. ACORN, Reverend Wright, and Barney Frank’s involvement in the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac never would have surfaced without its tenacity.

Fox is the outlet that reported the firing of Inspector General Gerald Walpin. Ostensibly, the White House dismissed him because he was “confused and disoriented” and “unduly disruptive” at a meeting.

In fact, this man had the temerity to report that Kevin Johnson, now the mayor of Sacramento, was playing fast and loose with stimulus funds. Walpin was fired for collecting and providing evidence of the skullduggery of Obama’s good friend and campaign contributor.

In layman terms, the excuse created for firing Walpin, a man in his mid 70’s, is that he was too old and senile to do the job. The White House just put a shot across the bow of every citizen over the age of 65. Obama signaled every US employer that age is an acceptable reason for terminating employees.

There is another thread that weaves through this. Obama, despite denials, wants to nationalize healthcare. Services are rationed in every country with government run healthcare. Our socialist leader just defined where the elderly will stand in the pecking order once government bureaucrats determine eligibility for medical procedures.

The thread doesn’t stop there. Consider the tactics used by the leadership in Iran to end the protest over the rigged presidential election. Only the news outlets loyal to the administration are allowed to publish. The internet and even electricity is being shutoff to thwart the communication of the protesters.

Obama and the Democrats own the mainstream media. These obedient lapdogs promote their agenda. Now consider the Democrats’ efforts to silence talk radio and the constant drumbeat belittling FOX News emanating from the White House.

This is not a coincidence. This is a war against the last bastions of the free press. Fox News and the Wall Street Journal are the only major news providers standing between the liberty of Americans, private enterprise, Judeo Christian ideals and Obama’s scorched earth, anti-capitalist agenda.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-51873327539589509692009-06-18T08:27:00.001-04:002009-06-18T08:30:19.178-04:00Medical MalpracticeThe healthcare debate is just winding up. Senator Dodd, a practicing socialist, blamed the rising costs in the medical industry on those nasty capitalists seeking profits. The local hospitals and family physicians are part of this evil cabal.

His solution was predictable. Dodd wants congress to create a national insurance agency to compete with the 350 private medical insurers. He insists that the introduction of this option will cause the private insurance companies to sharpen their pencils.

The illustrious Senator from Connecticut and Obama believe much of the cost of such a program will be recouped by eliminating the endemic corruption in Medicare and Medicaid.

Dodd estimates the costs of these medical entitlement programs could be reduced by 30% if the corruption and mismanagement of the system were eliminated. He’s probably right.

And you will love this. He claimed that costs could be dramatically reduced (maybe 20%) if doctors and hospitals stopped ordering unnecessary tests. These words from the same weasel that refuses to cap the outrageous settlements from lawsuits that force doctors and hospitals to practice defensive medicine.

Does anyone believe that a government insurance company, run by the same bureaucrats controlling Medicare and Medicaid, would be more cost-effective? Those with a cursory knowledge of government efficiency would be inclined to double over in laughter at the suggestion.

Dodd, who directly shared and profited from the shenanigans that toppled the housing industry, understands fraud. As a participant, he has first hand knowledge of insider corruption, which makes him an expert in the field. Thus, his words should not be ignored.

Of course, using the same criteria, it would be a waste of talent if Bernard Madoff isn’t offered the chairmanship of the SEC. Madoff was the master of ponzi schemes. The difference: Madoff confined his greed to mostly milking fat cats, whereas, Dodd has his sights set on duping every American into signing up for second class healthcare.

Dodd reluctantly admitted that about 20% of the cost of private healthcare premiums is used to subsidize the uninsured and the government underpayment of services. Federal bureaucrats in Medicare and Medicaid set the rates they will pay medical practitioners for services rendered.

Their tables of payments are based on the government’s “budget,” and its power to bludgeon the medical profession into submission, rather than the realistic cost of services. The rates paid by the privately insured keep the hospitals and emergency centers open. It’s a hidden tax.

Dodd’s scheme is fairly simple. The premiums set by Dodd’s government insurance company will be substantially lower than those offered by private insurers. Consumers and businesses will sign up for the government plan to save money.

This will drive the private insurers out of business, as they won’t be able to compete with the US Treasury. Within a few years the government will control healthcare. Without the inflated premiums of America’s productive workers and companies underwriting the actual costs for medical services, the government bureaucrats will ration healthcare.

It’s Dodd’s refrain to this Ponzi scheme that brings doublespeak to a new level of hypocrisy. He keeps reassuring Americans that they will continue to be able to select the doctor and hospital of their choice.

He neglects to mention that the quality of healthcare will rapidly decline, many hospitals will be forced to close and the incentive to be a doctor will be eliminated.

Here’s a healthcare solution! Try Senator Dodd for medical malpractice.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-63570341631032883232009-06-15T08:22:00.001-04:002009-06-15T08:24:50.080-04:00The Ultimate SacrificeVice President Joe Biden is positioned to be a heroic American patriot, as he sits in the catbird seat.

He is a decent fellow with a knack for creating facts. It would be difficult to construe his speaking gaffs as malicious. He just seems inclined to manufacture a little evidence when he is unfamiliar with the subject.

It’s reasonable to conclude that he doesn’t want to appear ignorant. If trying to “save face” was a criminal act about 99.99% of the planet’s human species would have felony records.

He is not a liar, but he is cursed by the compulsion to tell the truth. Granted, in national politics this isn’t a prized attribute. Speaker Pelosi personifies the typical politician’s relationship with the truth. When caught in a lie she defends the deceit, feigns victim status and then ignores the subject.

That Mr. Obama doesn’t appreciate his Vice President’s propensity for candor is not a revelation. Joe has spent a lot of time behind the woodshed being scolded for voicing his opinions and his observations. And it’s obvious that these rebukes are chaffing their relationship.

On May 27, 2009, when the wind toppled a teleprompter as Biden prepared to speak at the Air Force Academy graduation, his ad lib, “What am I going to tell the president when I tell him his teleprompter is broken? What will he do then?” was return fire.

Biden corroborated the obvious. Obama is incapable of delivering a message that isn’t scripted. The whole world knows that Obama can’t think on his feet. But be assured that the president didn’t appreciate his second in command confirming his lack of fluidity with details.

Obama is an arrogant, spiteful and shallow little man. He has no expertise. His path to the Oval Office was strewn with flowers by the mainstream media. They ignored his gaffs and lack of historical perspective.

It deliberately hide his leftwing agenda by ignoring his tenure at ACORN, his relationship with Rev. Wright, domestic terrorists and his ties to Chicago’s corrupt political underworld. They knew what wouldn’t sell, so they painted him as a moderate. It was all lies.

It’s doubtful that Joe Biden signed up to support trillion dollar deficits, the nationalization of the US financial institutions and its auto industry, the displacement of private enterprise, the rabid attacks on Christian beliefs, undermining national security and the disembowelment of the Constitution.

Try to imagine how difficult the task of defending the reckless and malicious attack on America’s institutions is for a person who loves his country. Joe was criticized for saying that paying taxes is patriotic. In truth, it is the duty of every American to support the country. Joe and Middle America only disagree on the amount and how it’s dispersed.

If Joe resigned his vice presidency, the shot would be heard around the world. He would change the course of history by shining a light on Obama’s infamy. The noble deed would inform the nation, its allies and its enemies that he is unwilling to share the treachery and disgrace of the Obama legacy. Granted, it’s difficult to believe a politician would lay down his life for his country.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-66936036836144444772009-06-11T08:59:00.001-04:002009-06-11T09:05:20.846-04:00The Most Frightening StatisticSetting aside natural disasters, it seems the number of public appearances a president makes is in indirect proportion to the health of the economy and the vitality of his agenda. Rarely a day goes by when the mainstream media doesn’t feature fresh Obama sound bites.

Whether he is trying to convince himself, or the voters, that he is pleased with the progress is anyone’s guess. The economic indicators are wobbling, and few are persuaded that his recent international jaunt bolstered the US’ relationship with its allies, or improved national security.

The banks and insurance companies are scrambling to put distance between themselves and the TARP funds. In fact, there is a growing consensus that the entire program should be mothballed by year’s end. It makes one wonder what private data and forecasts the leaders of the US financial institutions and congress see that is causing this stampede.

Turning over the future of General Motors and Chrysler to the unions and Barney Frank isn’t playing well. It doesn’t take a marketing genius or an economic guru to understand the $50 billion spent on “saving” these companies will only benefit the coffin nail manufacturers and the UAW. He gave them the hammer.

Obama’s latest political gambit, guaranteeing that 600,000 jobs will be created or saved, is resonating like a bell in a sound-proofed closet. Whoever created this non-testable goal was caught in the glare of oncoming lights, manufacturing airbags for an expected head-on crash.

The federal government’s revenues are down 34%, which makes Obama’s deficit spending stand out like a grizzly bear in a petting zoo. While rapidly increasing energy prices sap the meager discretionary income from family budgets, Obama is begging America to wait twenty years for windmills and sunshine to correct this environment-worthy inconvenience.

He is also clamoring for bone crushing taxes and has claimed the right to determine the appropriate income for people employed in the private sector. And to add insult to injury he proclaimed in Cairo that the United States is as much Islamic as it is Judeo-Christian.

He must have received this statistic from the same folks who invented the 150,000 jobs he claims his stimulus plan has already saved; the same experts who provided the projection that unemployment would not exceed 8%. Be assured these are the same advisers that told him to throw Israel under the bus, bless Iran’s nuclear ambitions and grant terrorists captured on the battlefields Miranda Rights.

To his credit, Obama admitted that Medicaid spending is out of control. Of course, he forgot to add that the program guarantees medical care for anyone, and everyone, without insurance or proof of US citizenship, or any incentive to earn either.

His solution for this medical black hole is the nationalization of healthcare. So all he needs is another trillion dollars of debt to solve the problem. Is there a trend here?

Preparing to be the President of the World must eat a lot of time. Maybe it just slipped his mind to sign the executive order extending E-Verify. When the country’s economy is gushing red ink and unemployment is approaching ten percent, what other logical reason exists for providing the 100 million citizens of Mexico an incentive to become illegal aliens?

The polls keep showing Obama’s approval rating is hovering around 60%. This is the most frightening statistic of all.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-49546956191392381972009-06-08T08:04:00.001-04:002009-06-08T08:06:53.028-04:00The Final ReviewDr. George Tiller, America’s renowned late-term abortion specialist, was murdered in church a few weeks ago. It was a sad end to a sad life. It’s difficult to fathom why a person would spend so many grueling years studying medicine and then dedicate his life to killing the unborn.

No one can prove that there is a God, or a heaven and hell. If the existence of a Supreme Being is a religious myth and the final judgment was concocted by the clergy to control the masses and enrich the church leadership, Dr. Tiller’s life and death were merely biological incidents.

An atheist performing abortions could reasonably see himself or herself as performing a task that corrects accidents. In this context the abortion specialist has more in common with a vehicle repair shop than the practice of medicine.

But Dr. Tiller was a practicing Christian. That’s what is interesting. He believed in God. In light of this, he had to morally justify his occupation. It can be logically assumed that he saw himself as a Good Samaritan; as a man willing to help women in distress despite condemnation by the majority of his peers and the public.

The mainstream media reached this conclusion. It portrayed him as an unselfish man nobly protecting the rights of women guaranteed by the Supreme Court in its 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling. But that’s not true. The decision didn’t guarantee women the right to an abortion.

Rather, it gave women the right to seek an abortion from a medical practitioner. The ruling gave doctors the choice to perform, or not perform, abortions without legal consequences. The final decision to abort a life was never granted pregnant women.

It was Dr. Tiller, not the women who entered his clinic seeking an abortion, who made the ultimate decision to end a life.

The only choices Tiller’s clients made were to request his services and grant him permission to perform the surgery. They were willing accomplices and share the responsibility, but he alone had the power to facilitate the final solution.

The media branded his murderer as a terrorist. That case can be made, if Dr. Tiller was murdered to discourage other physicians from performing abortions. It’s equally possible that in the murderer’s twisted and deranged mind, he thought the death of Dr. Tiller would save the lives of thousands of unborn children.

The definition of terrorism in the Merriam-Webster dictionary is “the systematic use of terror, especially as a means of coercion.”
Of course, that pretty much defines the day-to-day routine of a doctor specializing in abortion.

Describing the social stigmas, personal hardships and financial sacrifice entailed in child-raising, could easily terrify an expectant, un-wed woman into having an abortion. That’s the systematic use of terror as a means of coercion.

If there is a God and a final reckoning, Dr. Tiller and his murderer will get a final review. So here is a question to ponder.

Would an all merciful and wise God be more willing to forgive a man who deliberately killed hundreds of babies capable of surviving outside their mother’s womb, or a demented man tormented by the slaughter of these innocents?

Lucky for Dr. Tiller, God will make this decision rather than a jury of his peers.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-25845235773987069172009-06-04T06:49:00.001-04:002009-06-04T06:53:50.542-04:00Now TreasonMost people have experienced a flashlight failure at a critical juncture during a repair or while following a path to a safe location. There’s a natural inclination to hurry as the beam fades. That’s when mistakes are made; when we are likely to trip and fall.

Although everyone knows that banging the flashlight against a hard surface doesn’t prolong the battery life, it offers an immediate hopeful remedy. And it releases frustration.

This need for catharsis when under pressure is the reason Obama was elected. With the help of a biased media, he convinced 52% of the voters that he could create light by simply reversing President Bush’s policies.

The media persuaded the voters that Obama epitomized a new age of enlightenment. They touted his vision of world peace, and claimed he transcended politics. As it turned out, his hope and change rhetoric was just banalities that artfully concealed his mistrust and ignorance of business and America’s respect for earned success.

The words of his handlers displayed on a teleprompter kept him on message. And the campaign message was simple. He offered to share the remaining light equally. This appealed to Americans who were being fed a steady diet of survival economics and doom and gloom forecasts.

The voters saw a guy more likeable than John McCain and gave his empty resume the benefit of the doubt, knowing America’s resourcefulness would find a better light source, regardless of the election outcome.

It never crossed their minds that Obama couldn’t comprehend the simple fact that America’s prosperity was built on its ingenuity, and that personal initiative, innovation, risk taking and the will to succeed were foreign to his thinking and experiences.

The lights are going out in America. The engines of commerce and security are fluttering. Even in the dimming light, it’s apparent that Mr. Obama doesn’t know how to unleash and motivate the private sector.

He thinks that the spirit upon which the nation was built belongs in a government harness. That’s like putting the winner of the Kentucky Derby behind a plow. Of course, Obama probably believes that thoroughbreds should share their fame and fortune with the plow horses.

This ignorant, little man is using his gifted oratory to undermine the source of America’s strength, while pretending the temporary flare emitted by burning the Constitution is the guiding light he promised the nation.

Obama is not evil, but he seems motivated by the desire to see the nation fail. In truth, like his wife, he is not proud of what the nation has accomplished because he never contributed to its success. He owes his presidency to artificial standards, reverse discrimination and the mounting ignorance of the voters.

The depth of his loathing is personified by his administration’s release of secret documents detailing where its nuclear arsenal is hidden. By any definition that is an act of treason. Evidently his economic treachery and his Hate America tours aren’t satisfying his desire to bury the nation.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-81021115736524968142009-06-01T08:13:00.003-04:002009-06-01T21:50:32.716-04:00A Peek at the Price TagIt seems that Mr. Obama’s campaign promise to only confiscate the income of the wealthy hit a mathematical roadblock. Class warfare got Obama elected, but it doesn’t pay the bills.

Reality is seeping into the White House’s surreal economic projections. Who would have guessed that annual trillion dollar deficits are not sustainable? But don’t kid yourself. Mr. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Barney and company knew monstrous tax increases were required to support the transition from capitalism to European styled socialism.

Of course, these utopian miscreants had hoped the reckoning would be delayed until after the 2010 congressional elections. This would have given them time to complete the reorganization before their supporters realized that their incomes were on the Treasury’s short list of available donors.

It seems that Obama’s timetable was based on the assumption that the government could temporarily suspend the laws of economics with unbridled spending. This would have extended the introduction of a Cap and Trade energy tax and a 10% national sales tax (VAT) beyond the election.

But nationalizing banks and the auto industry was capital intensive. Without huge infusions of funds, the integrity of the US monetary system will continue to deteriorate, along with the value of the dollar. And Geithner’s ponzi scheme of buying the US debt with freshly printed money didn’t fool the international investors.

The 52% of voters who trusted Obama’s promise of a free lunch didn’t realize their incomes would be on the menu. They are now looking down the barrel of the largest income redistribution scheme in the history of mankind.

Setting aside the segment of Obama supporters who have never contributed a penny to the government, nor have any plans for doing so, there sits about 40 million Democrats and Independents who are about to get a remedial lesson in arithmetic and political reality.

These are the well intentioned, fiscally illiterate, trusting fools who voted for change and wanted the bragging rights for electing a product raised on affirmative action. They got what they voted for, and they are about to take the beating of their lives.

Obama is driving the country down the only path with which he is familiar. He is turning affirmative action into a government prerequisite.

Of course, affirmative action is nothing more than government sponsored economic and political discrimination against the productive segment of society. In Middle America this group is commonly called working taxpayers.

The average family in America earns about $50,000. In addition to their current income, Social Security and Medicare contributions, excise and capital gains taxes, state and local sales, excise, property and income taxes, Obama and friends attempted to squeeze another $3000 from their net incomes for energy usage (Cap and Trade).

After those nasty conservatives pointed out that Cap and Trade was a tax concealed in environmental clothing, the proposal pretty much fizzled, but Waxman and Markey are still pushing it. Undaunted, Obama and friends are now floating a Value-Added Tax (VAT).

Its implementation would reduce the buying power of the average family at least 10% (about $5000). A VAT will guarantee decades of the same double digit unemployment, second rate healthcare and the flat-lined economies enjoyed by the prosperity-adverse Europeans.

Get prepared! Obama’s policies are fermenting a taxpayer revolt unlike anything America has experienced since the American Revolution. It’s going to get ugly.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-40649770385570909832009-05-28T07:28:00.000-04:002009-05-28T07:30:45.844-04:00Obama in a SkirtThere is no evidence that the United States is pulling out of this recession. Our nation is hurting. And while the country decays, congress is using the uncertainty to usurp power. The staggering deficit it created serves government well.

The rush of spending is a crushing defeat for private enterprise and personal responsibility. The nationalization of the financial institutions reduced the fluidity of capital that underpins freedom, innovation and prosperity. It empowers the federal government by reducing the economic options of future generations.

Trickle down economics has graduated from being a by-product of capitalism, historically defined as class warfare by liberals, to shared responsibility. Of course, the sharing will be controlled by government to level the income disparities created by the industrious and innovative risk takers.

There is no bright light on the horizon. Housing values continue to fall and the unemployment numbers aren’t hopeful. The stock market is in a dither, inflation is mounting, energy prices are growing and there are tremendous pressures on the fissures in our national and fiscal security.

The US immigration polices are anti-worker and anti-taxpayer, and the solutions being offered to stabilize the escalating cost of healthcare are mired in socialist priorities. The production of energy has been relegated to the realm of environmental doomsayers.

Our right of privacy, self-determination, religious expression, wealth accumulation, and control of the curriculum in our local schools is disappearing. And marriage is being ostracized; labeled as an outmoded artifact of religious intolerance.

Moral authority is treated as the disgraced refuge of old fashion constitutionalists. And the guidelines for freedom of expression are being manipulated by a government obsessed with an unflinching quest for absolute power. The relationship between church and state has evolved into a winner-take-all war for the right to define truth.

The judicial branch of government has adopted all the political trappings of the executive and legislative branches. It is being used to substantiate political objectives and bolster the power and prestige of the federal government’s value system.

There is nothing more self-evident about legislation enacted by judicial activists, which is designed and created to limit or extract our constitutional freedoms, than its dependency on moral equivalency.

Without moral absolutes, the judges are free to replace God given rights with their own subjective, moral interpretations. This is why the US Constitution is being battered like a piñata.

The nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court is not a prelude to change. It’s a confirmation that the liberals in government see the Constitution as a barrier to its power. She represents the forces of moral equivalency, the foundation of socialism.

The left can depend on Sotomayor to chip away at the rights and values engraved in the US Constitution. She doesn’t epitomize justice because her only interest is redefining it. That’s why Obama nominated her. That’s why the liberals will confirm her.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-89495694088313887462009-05-25T06:27:00.001-04:002009-05-25T06:35:06.173-04:00Obama EconomicsFannie Mae needs another infusion of tax dollars to survive. Anyone predicting success for Mr. Obama’s brand of progressive economics should take a look at the results of this socialist adventure.

Seventy percent of the restructured loans are again in default. Despite the monthly payment on the majority of these mortgage contracts being cut nearly in half, the borrowers continue to run away from their legal and moral commitments.

Most of the abandoned properties are gutted and left in shambles. This epidemic is so rampant that companies involved in junk and trash removal are thriving. Of course, the problem stems from the fact that the buyers (and lenders) never had any skin in the game.

The results are unsurprising. There is a long history of government subsidized housing rapidly falling into decay. Despite the evidence, the liberals are in a state of denial. They won’t admit there is a relationship between personal responsibility and success; between pride of ownership and sacrifice; between employment history and sustained income.

The credit policies of Barney Frank and company merely moved welfare housing from the inner cities to the suburbs. This is the same tactic, with the same horrible results, that occurred when liberals mandated “busing” to eliminate the educational inequities found in city and suburban schools.

Busing destroyed the integrity of city neighborhoods and reduced property values. The tax base of cities followed the school buses to the suburbs. And predictably, the upheaval didn’t improve education. Socializing Fannie and Freddie cost the taxpayers a few trillion dollars in cold hard cash, depreciated home values and gutted retirement savings.

The root cause of the problem is that liberals rely on their efforts being judged by their good intentions and not by the results. Of course, this is like Speaker Pelosi relying on her veracity to prove a point.

When Fannie and Freddie crashed head on with reality, congress should have slammed the Treasury’s door on the Equal Lending Opportunity legislation. Nothing has changed other than Obama and company shifted the blame to those mean spirited capitalists who packaged and sold this government endowed garbage to get it off their books.

The economy is now hovering above an economic fault line being temporarily supported by the phantom dollars Obama, Geithner and Barney are printing. Now that Standard & Poor’s outlook for the US’ AAA credit rating is filling with cautionary notes, they want to change the subject.

That’s why Obama, Barney and the other fiscal ostriches are moving our attention to healthcare, energy and amnesty before the stimulus bubble pops. Only in fairytales can you close your eyes and have the bogeyman disappear. But that seems to be the fiscal methodology that Obama has chosen.

It makes as much sense as pretending the Islamic terrorists will disappear if they aren’t called terrorists; or pretending our national intelligence agencies cause terrorism; or pretending illegal immigration doesn’t impact the employment and wages of Americans; or pretending the Cap and Trade energy initiative isn’t a brutal tax; or pretending that nationalizing healthcare will reduce costs and improve its quality.

The US economy is suspended above a sinkhole and every additional spending program weakens the already badly frayed tethers. Four years of Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Barney’s socialist agenda guarantees Americans will never be free of government bondage.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-62193654545900367472009-05-21T07:24:00.000-04:002009-05-21T07:27:19.804-04:00Obama's Tax GuruSeventy-five percent of the candidates for elementary teacher positions in Massachusetts failed mathematics in the entrance exam. Now here is a surprise. The academic establishment (read teachers union) blamed the test. The examination probably asked questions that involved numbers.

It’s difficult to conjure up the mental agility of a college graduate unprepared to teach arithmetic to a grade school pupil. It makes one wonder what they learned in four years. Let’s hope they didn’t go into debt for an education that they obviously didn’t receive.

They won’t qualify for one other government job in Massachusetts. Failing arithmetic pretty much disqualifies them from raking in $75,000 a year as a toll taker. Making change is obviously out of their league. But they shouldn’t be discouraged.

There is plenty of room for the arithmetically challenged in the budget offices of the state and towns. The state legislature automatically increases taxes to cover any revenue shortages, which negates the need to understand annual budgets. Besides, budgets are filled with near endless rows of numbers; so who really cares?

No one can remember if the state or any town in Massachusetts ever actually had a surplus, so the budget bureaucrats only need a rudimentary knowledge of subtraction.

Here is the exam question for the state treasurer. If the state collects $10 and spends $13 how much more revenue is needed to balance the budget? The answer would appear to be that $3 in additional taxes would cover the shortfall (For the recent college graduates: $13 - $10 = $3).

But we are talking about Massachusetts.

The calculation necessitates adding a minimum of 30% for graft and corruption, and at least 10% more for friends and family kickbacks. And then the traditional piling-on begins. For the politicians this is the prime season to sweeten the pot.

A couple of rounds of pay raises are always in order. And they never forget to fatten their retirement programs. And pay increases for teachers, police and firemen protect their careers.

This part of the equation makes taxpayers a bit testy, so the final costs are always underestimated for political reasons. They know that they can come back for more next year. This year the Massachusetts state legislature plans to increase the highway tolls, the state sales tax and taxes on gasoline and beer.

Rumor has it that Mr. Obama asked his good friend, Governor Deval Patrick, not to raise the state income tax as Obama wants these potential revenues reserved for the federal government. As a quid pro quo, Obama promised to start the printing presses to bailout Massachusetts’ extravagant welfare schemes.

Governor Patrick had to accept this deal. Every time Massachusetts increases the taxes on alcohol, gas and the state sales tax, more of its citizens head to New Hampshire to do their shopping. Governor Patrick figured it was about time the residents of New Hampshire started supporting Massachusetts. He is a big advocate of shared responsibility.

In addition, Governor Patrick’s lawsuit to force New Hampshire businesses to collect and forward sales taxes on purchases made by Massachusetts citizens is already winding its way through the courts.

And you were wondering from whom Obama, Barney Frank and Geithner got their tax and spend ideas.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-86374332595911392862009-05-18T08:45:00.001-04:002009-05-18T08:47:44.377-04:00Relax and Enjoy ObamaLandHere’s a new ripple in the Progressive stream. Mr. Obama and his worshipers have decided that the taxpayers in all the states should fund the annual deficits of those states in financial trouble.

Mismanagement and gross dereliction of fiscal responsibility now qualifies spendthrift states for federal handouts. California, Michigan, New Jersey and Massachusetts are lining up for free bailouts. Who knew that out-of-your-mind spending by state governments had no down side?

Evidently, providing cars and AAA service to welfare recipients, pampering illegal aliens in sanctuary cities, bloated bureaucracies, and caving in to outlandish union demands do have a high price. Of course, when you govern a state in ObamaLand cost is not an issue.

Maybe, just maybe, this shared responsibility thing is going a bit too far. Or, maybe the governors and legislatures in states that control spending should be fired. After all, it appears they don’t understand that fiscal responsibility is retro thinking.

It’s obvious that Obama is a religious man. Every night he thanks God for inventing the printing press. With a little paper and ink he can pay everyone’s bills. That’s why he isn’t worried about the $1.8 trillion deficit he rang up in his first one hundred days in office.

The guy is on a roll. By June of this year every American will have the same world class healthcare found in Cuba. And it will be free. How wonderful is that? Rumor has it that his healthcare program will be called Frankie Med in honor of Barney Frank.

Don’t kid yourself. Obama is thinking ahead. Frankie Med is going to stop those greedy pharmaceutical companies from making profits which fund research. New drugs keep people living longer, which put a strain on Social Security and Medicare. Obama is a fiscal genius.

And fewer people will put less strain on the environment. Global warming and Al Gore will be distant memories. Fewer people also mean fewer abortions and the elimination of the need for stem cell research, two thorny political issues. Let’s be honest, the guy is a political genius.

By 2010 Obama’s approval numbers should go right through the roof when people realize that staying home and living on the government dole will pay as well as working and paying taxes.

It will be a glorious morning when the last factory shuts down and everyone can spend their days relaxing. And imagine the reduction in fossil fuels with no one driving to work. The Middle East will once again be a sandbox. There goes the funding for Islamic terrorists. Obama is so brilliant that it’s scary.

The children will love Obama. Education will be obsolete. Why go to school and learn to read and write if it is not required for living and breeding? This will save millions of trees that would have been wasted on textbooks and copy paper and homework.

Best of all, the fragile egos of children won’t be bruised by academic and physical competition. Obama truly believes in absolute equality. Of course, that’s why the economy is on the verge of annihilation. But fear not. Pelosi will certainly tell us the truth, as honesty is her only virtue.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-43695969814551514252009-05-14T07:52:00.003-04:002009-05-14T07:57:14.319-04:00Is GM a Prelude to America's Future?Mr. Obama, Pelosi and Reid have already outspent the federal government’s ability to fund itself and the national debt without massive tax increases. And this fiscal depravity doesn’t include their pending national healthcare, amnesty and green energy schemes.

The bad news is just beginning. Be prepared for a barrage of defaults in the commercial real estate sector. Naturally Obama will guarantee that the taxpayers backstop the hemorrhaging, which will put the government’s head under the commercial property tent.

Equal Lending Opportunity legislation and the creation of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae sure worked well for home mortgages. So expect the taxpayers to soon be paying the rent for companies whose aspirations were greater than their business plans.

To that, add the new government guarantees for loans approved by bureaucrats in the Small Business Administration. The borrowers and banks no longer have any skin in the game. This scheme has all the merit of putting the leftwing scoundrels running ACORN (or Barney Frank) in charge of the Internal Revenue Service.

Now consider the additional 77 million people who will be enrolled in Medicare and Social Security in the next few years. These programs will collapse under their own weight without an enormous infusion of tax dollars.

The United States is on the edge of an economic cliff and Obama tells us to trust him, things are improving. This is true if the goal of the nation is to reinvent itself as a mediocre socialist state. The overt acts of Obama, Pelosi and Reid have undermined the sovereignty and security of the nation they inherited.

No amount of happy talk is going to delay the fiscal reckoning. These three miscreants have deliberately and with malice toward capitalism deeded the nation’s future to the government monopoly of wealth.

This is exactly where Obama, Pelosi and Reid are driving the country. The government now controls the financial institutions. Obama and friends just announced they will soon issue directives detailing the pay of employees in financial institutions.

They have the power to define credit worthiness and decide loan eligibility. Loans will be based on how they affect the government’s master plan and on the borrowers’ political allegiance. Earmarks pale by comparison to this pork barrel. Corruption Central, here we come.

Their plan even includes banks that required no government bailout. Why? To avoid the mass migration of management from government controlled banks to the private sector.

The liberals see this plan generating the same slobbering support of big government as is found in the rank and file of government bureaucrats. Is there any doubt that pay raises will be determined by political obedience?

If the federal government remains on this current track, private enterprise will be extinguished. Personal initiative and freedom of speech will be outlawed as anti-social. It was once stated that what is good for General Motors is good for the nation. That’s was never true, but now that GM is owned by the government, it’s a prelude to America’s bleak future.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-82257264806732680302009-05-11T08:05:00.002-04:002009-05-11T08:11:50.004-04:00The Demise of State LegislaturesPresident Eisenhower introduced the Inter-State Highway program in the 1950’s under the guise of national security. It was positioned as a necessary and vital means to move men and arms in the event of war.

There was no other constitutional justification for the federal government to seize and nationalize property within the states.

How things have changed. Today, the right of the federal government to regulate inter-state commerce has been extended and broadened beyond recognition of its initial intent.

This clause in the Constitution was initially intended to prevent states from erecting trade barriers at their borders. The clause guaranteed people and goods could travel from state to state without tariffs and other taxes and regulations hindering the flow.

The concept was revolutionary and brilliant. It eventually guaranteed the free flow of goods and services between fifty, independent states. Arguably, it was the lynchpin that cemented the fiercely independent states into a national economic powerhouse.

For decades the federal government has gnawed away at the states’ independence and their right of self-determination by expanding the original intent of the Commerce clause. Broadening its scope has allowed the federal government to micro-mange our lives by claiming its right to control all goods, services and communications that move between states.

Proponents of expanded federal reach see “protecting the environment” as the ultimate tool for controlling every aspect of our lives. It’s the perfect umbrella to legitimize the federal power to define the boundaries of an acceptable lifestyle.

The power to regulate commerce has also seeped into morality and religious expression. Combined with the power of the Internal Revenue Service, the federal government concocts, manipulates and punishes individuals by prescribing and enforcing acceptable behavior.

Federal law has made it a greater crime to inflict physical and mental harm on a minority or homosexual or transgender person than the identical crime against a six year old white child. Set aside the absurdity of this convoluted thinking and concentrate on where the federal government gets the power to enact such laws.

The US Constitution doesn’t grant the federal government the power to make or enforce such decisions. Yet, it has steadily encroached upon our freedoms because Americans have traditionally trusted the courts to protect us from government overreach.

Of course, the courts are now used to justify and create rights and justify congress’ ambitions. Too many judges are simply legislators who happen to wear black robes. And the mainstream media has forsaken its duty to inform citizens of the government’s power grab.

Until, and unless, the state governments unite to protect the rights granted them in the US Constitution, their existence as lawmakers will soon become moot.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-58731325152653600242009-05-07T07:43:00.001-04:002009-05-07T07:46:40.628-04:00Disappearing Constitutional RightsIt seems that Mr. Obama is serious about reducing the deficit. Well, not exactly! He is not going to cut government spending. He has decided to chase down international companies headquartered in the United States, which avoid corporate taxes on profits gained from offshore business.

His administration figures this will add 20 billion dollars a year to the US treasury, less the cost of the 800 new IRS employees and the legal challenges that are certain to mount.

Mr. Obama thinks it is unfair that companies only pay corporate taxes to the countries in which their foreign offices and manufacturing plants exist. Currently, if the remaining profits stay offshore, the US Treasury can’t confiscate them. Obama believes these companies should be required to pay US and foreign corporate taxes on the same profits.

His argument is simple. If a company is obligated to pay double taxation on profits gained offshore it will shutdown the foreign facilities and return the jobs and revenues to the United States.

Of course, Obama is an economic idiot. These companies do have a better alternative.

With the stroke of a pen they can headquarter in any country with a more favorable tax climate. And then they can play the same “cost charade game” that Japanese vehicle manufacturers have employed for decades. Namely, inflate the cost of the parts they export to the United States to reduce the profits on goods manufactured in the US.

This in turn reduces the corporate taxes owed the US government. Obama and the majority of the Democrats are too stupid to bring the US corporate tax bite down to an inviting level. Granted, this will not encourage corporations to rush back to a tax friendlier America.

At best, it would slow the corporate flight.

It’s a curse. Corporate managers read the papers. They are aware that Obama wants to double or triple the cost of domestic energy with his cap-and-trade initiative. And they are aware that by government fiat, Tim Geithner, Barney Frank and the United Auto Workers Union will soon be running Chrysler.

They are also aware the US banks have been nationalized and Obama and his gang of socialists fired General Motor’s CEO. All in all, it’s obvious that the United States government is no longer interested in private enterprise staying private.

But this is just the economic side of his plan. He is preparing to change the rights granted private individuals (which includes corporations). In the United States, unlike countries under rigid totalitarian control, the judicial system recognizes that people are innocent until proven guilty.

Obama’s tax proposal reverses this principle. Every individual or corporation that keeps money offshore will be automatically considered a tax evader. These individuals and corporate entities will have to prove their innocence, rather than the government proving their guilt.

The bottom line: Obama is cutting the most basic legal right of every US citizen for a measly $20 billion. What rights and freedoms will Americans lose when his $9 trillion deficit brings the US economy to a standstill in a few years?

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-25045510371601170322009-05-04T08:13:00.003-04:002009-05-04T08:19:49.348-04:00Betrayal of America's SpiritMr. Obama’s first one hundred days in office will change the landscape of America for generations to come.

He is stacking $9 trillion dollars of debt on top of the one-half trillion that President Bush left on our table. Senator Newt Gingrich put this in perspective. Every twenty year old American has been saddled with an $114,000 IOU just to pay the interest on Obama’s spending.

And that number will triple if blanket amnesty for illegal aliens, cap and trade and universal healthcare are made law. The consequence of his vision will entail the confiscation of 60% to 75% of all earned income to support government and government welfare.

This will absolutely destroy any opportunity the next generations of Americans have to rise above the government’s allowance for success. When the incentive to create a better future for self and family is removed, private enterprise will shrivel and die. And that is the goal of socialists.

That’s why Obama and the Democrats want to reinstate the death tax. It’s the last residual of accumulated wealth which they regard as a dangerous, unfair disparity. Confiscating and redistributing the wealth created by previous generations will eliminate all inequality between classes.

Let no one doubt that diversity, political correctness, multiculturalism and affirmative action are knives that have been honed to cut the heart out of individual initiative and responsibility. This war against individual freedom and opportunity has two fronts.

The economy has over shadowed Obama’s efforts to demean and marginalize the Judeo-Christian principles the nation was founded on. By executive order he has made it a civil crime for a medical person to refuse to perform an abortion.

Think about that. With the stroke of his pen, Obama decreed that the State is the sole arbiter of moral decision making. He has greased the skids for the displacement of religious values with the secular courts. This establishes the State as equal to the Supreme Being.

His decision to open the human gene pool to stem cell research affected more than medical research. He proclaimed that the sanctity of human life is secondary to political judgments. In truth, Mr. Obama placed the human species on the same level as lab rats.

The amalgamation of abortion on demand and unlimited genetic engineering erases every moral standard upon which Western Civilization was built. This philosophy is what justifies the government’s redefinition of the purpose of marriage, and allows it to substitute moral equivalency for absolute truth.

It doesn’t eliminate the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But it does give the government the right to define these rights, which mean they are subject to change based on the whims of government.

Capitalism, with all its flaws, is the muscle that built America. It opened the door of opportunity to all comers. And Obama? His agenda is disemboweling the American incentive by rewarding failure.

The only question remaining: Can Obama crush the human spirit? That answer will be delivered by the voters in the 2010 mid-term elections.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-91824391923988032472009-04-30T07:15:00.003-04:002009-04-30T07:21:46.594-04:00Will Obama sell the Statue of Liberty? It’s difficult to understand what all the fuss was about when the CNN reporter, Susan Roesgen, recited the Enchanted Kingdom Party line to a Tea Party protester in Chicago. It must have been a slow news day.

The same week Speaker Pelosi was caught lying about her tacit approval of water boarding after demanding that every man, woman, child and insect involved with enhanced interrogation be prosecuted.

A CNN reporter chanting the Obama dogma and Pelosi, a politician, employing doublespeak to conceal the truth are as extraordinary as a choreographed news conference dominated by a teleprompter.

And who would have guessed that Senator Arlen Specter was a closet Democrat? His official shift from the Republican to the Democrat Party won’t change the vote count in the Senate. He was Reid’s right-hand rubber stamp.

The change smells like the little weasel had pretty much figured out he was persona non grata among Republicans in Pennsylvania.

Maine’s two Senators should do the same. Again, they are about as conservative as Barney Frank. Although, in fairness, they dress better, don’t slur their words and aren’t running gay brothels in their DC digs.

And Senator Dianne Feinstein guiding $25 billion in federal funds into her husband’s company, the CB Richard Ellis Group, was a stroke of luck. Who could have guessed that the value of the $10 million of company stock they purchased a few days before the announcement would go up forty percent.

Talk about a profitable coincidence. Of course, in fairness, maybe she didn’t know the name of her husband’s company. The mainstream media doesn’t see a smoking gun here. Maybe the deal was just beginners luck. Whatever the case, it seems being a Senator is better than playing the lottery.

The Heritage Foundation did the arithmetic on the cost of granting the 13 million illegal aliens amnesty. Relax! By the time they die amnesty will only cost the taxpayers a paltry $3.6 trillion in welfare, unless they bring all their relatives. In that case it gets expensive.

The upfront cost for amnesty is only $1.2 trillion. What’s another one trillion dollars in deficits between neighbors? Come on! They’re doing their share. It’s not easy spreading the swine-flu across the globe. And here you thought they weren’t productive contributors to the GDP.

And you will love this. Congress is working overtime to bring in a few million temporary workers to share the abundance of jobs created by Mr. Obama, Pelosi and Reid. Maybe that’s what Air Force One was doing when it buzzed New York City.

It was probably gathering promotional footage for an ad linking Mr. Obama to the fiscal and security benefits the US offers to foreign workers. They wanted to film it before the nation had to sell the Statue of Liberty back to the French to reduce the deficit.

Of course, the transaction would also shrink the cost of national security by eliminating one of the Islamic Terrorist’s targets. That sounds like a plan that Obama could hide behind.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-2656598015238847142009-04-27T08:06:00.005-04:002009-04-27T08:14:33.988-04:00The Next Fiscal Coffin NailAccording to a recent Fox News Poll, 69% of the registered voters are satisfied with what Mr. Obama has accomplished in his first 100 days in office. The number includes 92% of Democrats and only 24% of Republicans. That’s a big gap.

But the percentages sound about right. The uneducated, ignorant and complacent won’t complain until they see their tax bills climb into the stratosphere after the 2010 mid-term elections. Of course, another surge in unemployment will be a noisy part of their wakeup call.

That’s when the 52% who think the size of government hasn’t grown, or is actually shrinking, will wake up to the new reality.

Anyone who has walked through a mall in the last thirty days realizes that most US citizens are intelligent enough to know they can’t spend their way out of a recession. And that’s why the banks aren’t lending.

The financial institutions are scrambling to build their reserves for the pending disaster in commercial real estate. Think not? Go to any mall and count the number of vacant stores, mostly boutiques, which are boarded up. And take note of the growing vacancies in office parks and retail strip malls.

The home mortgage crisis will soon be compounded by defaults in the commercial sector. So anyone who believes the worst of the banking crisis is over will be blindsided by this development. America is currently experiencing a lull between fiscal storms.

The US printing presses will be working around the clock to cover this shortfall. With stocks on life support, municipal bonds looking like junk bonds and the US Treasury printing money, Americans can bet their last inflated dollar that the current recession will deepen.

And that is the good news. Without massive tax increases the value of the US dollar will implode. Timothy Geithner and Obama know this. They are also aware that America’s credit worthiness will come under further assault as phase two of this debacle unfolds.

Be reminded that the health of the US economy is built on credit, as credit sustains consumer spending. And consumer spending accounts for 70% of the GNP. When credit tightens the US economy contracts. If it dries up, the economy will come to a standstill. Small businesses will disappear in droves.

There is only one logical reason why this brewing storm isn’t being addressed publicly. And it’s the same reason Obama’s administration keeps the Social Security and Medicare time bombs in the shadows. Fiscal reality is their political enemy.

Obama and the Democrats are holding their breath. They want to pass universal healthcare and a myriad of new welfare programs before the public understands the country is facing a near insurmountable deficit.

This is the reason the Democrats are fighting desperately for the cap-and-trade energy initiative, the largest tax increase in the history of the world. This infusion will temporarily mask the inevitable economic fallout from unbridled government spending.

Here is the bad news. The taxes required to save Obama’s agenda will create ObamaLand, a second rate socialist republic.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-1837180594763239852009-04-23T07:15:00.000-04:002009-04-23T07:16:18.887-04:00Obama's Love AffairWatching the Obama administration refute America’s greatness and bury our grandchildren in debt is sickening. Now this band of weasels has decided to take legal action against members of the previous administration for going after the Islamic terrorists with vengeance.

Why? To stay in the good graces of the bleeding leftwing of the Democratic Party. Without its support Obama won’t be able to ram blanket amnesty for illegal aliens through congress, nationalize healthcare and use global warning to destroy what’s left of the middle class.

Against the advice of five Directors of the CIA, Mr. Obama opened hunting season on our intelligence agencies and presidential confidants. From this point forward they will hire their own attorneys before following a directive or offering a recommendation.

And how would you like to be in the military with Mr. Obama, the President of the United States, granting more rights to the terrorists than to the men and women in uniform? Except his administration refuses to call these butchers terrorists.

Is anyone else sick of the love affair that he has with himself? He actually believes the press clippings issued by the mainstream media. Evidently he is not aware that most of this swaggering group is courting bankruptcy because they substituted propaganda for truth.

That the California candidate lost the title of Miss America because she believes marriage should continue to be defined as a union between a woman and a man exemplifies what’s happening to freedom of speech in ObamaLand.

Political correctness is a lethal weapon used to destroy all who disagree with Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank and their cronies who wish to replace Christian principles with government mandated guidelines. Only those who can bark the party line are trusted with free speech. The rest are pigeon holed as terror suspects.

With the Chinese and Russians hacking away at our energy grid and stealing our military secrets, Obama is glad-handing every dictator he meets. He threw Eastern Europe to the wolves to placate the remaining Communists in Russia. And he gave North Korea a real fright when he got the United Nations to issue a shame-on-you letter.

It would be inaccurate to simply blame his foreign policy on inexperience. The fool actually believes that he is the gift the world has been waiting for. He is so immersed in himself that he can’t hear our enemies snickering. From the expressions of their faces, we can see them thinking, “With enemies like him, who needs more friends?”

No one would care if Obama dithered about for the next four years. Who would care if he ran from mirror to mirror and camera to camera pretending to be The One. But that’s not the case.

He is socialist bent on destroying capitalism, because he is ashamed of the USA. And he has a congress that shares this attitude. That’s what makes him dangerous. The 2010 elections will determine the fate of the nation.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-92078877657734458512009-04-20T06:55:00.002-04:002009-04-20T07:05:18.292-04:00The Human SpiritSusan Boyle. Susan Boyle. Susan Boyle. This dowdy, forty-seven year old Scottish subject knocked the socks off three judges and a smirking audience. She stunned the world with a sensational singing voice, which was perfectly concealed behind frumpy clothing and an unsophisticated presence.

Her performance at the Britain’s Got Talent contest overpowered the audience's first impression and mocked its arrogance. She embarrassed us, and in truth, she shamed us. Susan reminded us that we live in a world of expectations groomed and promoted by marketers.

Expectations are routinely defined by perceptions. We are taught what to jeer and what to cheer by the media elite. Those who can’t or won’t play the game are often branded as inferior or labeled misfits.

Another recent example of this phenomenon was the mainstream media’s disdain for the Tea Party participants. The crowd was condemned as misfits for not being in sync with the liberal media’s definition of proper political thinking. The media reaction defined the real losers.

It is obvious that Susan has spent her life in the shadows, much the same as Victor Hugo’s Quasimodo, in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. That was the wonder of her performance. She knew who she was when she walked across the stage, and she knew what the judges and audience were thinking.

But it didn’t deter her from seeking her place in the sun. In hindsight, that’s what we admired and cheered. It was determination that brought her there, which the audience had mistaken for gall. Her voice was merely the crescendo.

In three minutes she changed twenty million minds. That’s the feat the world saw. And her performance empowered us.

We shared a moment with a person who proclaimed that it’s okay to be imperfect. Everyone can relate to that. That’s the joy we felt when her voice erased perceptions and proclaimed I belong here.

Imagine the bruising and doubts and frustration she had endured for forty-seven years. She escaped the bondage of low expectations with courage, personal resolve and talent.

Remember when the vast majority of Americans knew that if they didn’t quit, they could make it? Remember when perseverance was admired, adversity was expected and success was honored?

Well, evidently it still is. And Susan Boyle reminded us that this attribute, although not uniquely American, still exists on our shores, despite the government’s efforts to substitute equal opportunity with equal outcome.

Susan would never have walked across that stage and competed head-to-head with the other contestants in Obamaland USA. In Mr. Obama’s affirmative action plagued America, Susan would have been given extra points for being homely and declared the winner.

Thus, despite her talent, no one would have admired her, no one would have honored her, and no one would have shared her triumph.

Thank you Susan Boyle for reminding us of the power of the human spirit.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-55742754144154584092009-04-16T09:16:00.002-04:002009-04-17T10:58:17.089-04:00Rightwing ExtremistsAnyone dependent on the mainstream media for political news is probably unaware of the few thousand Tea Parties that were held across the nation yesterday, April 15, 2009.

These demonstrations were aimed at letting Mr. Obama, his socialist cronies and too many Republican Senators know how the taxpayers feel about the federal government’s wild-eyed deficit spending.

On April 7, 2009, Mr. Obama’s Department of Homeland Security released a ten page report warning the nation of the type of rightwing extremists that attend and recruit at such events. Although the study was authorized by the Bush Administration, the timing of its release can’t be construed as a coincidence. (Report available at www.thelibertypapers.org).

It’s the DHS’ assessment that rightwing extremists include people who are against amnesty for illegal aliens, or restrictions on the right to bear arms, or abortion, or government infringement on civil liberties and states’ rights, or taxation.

The report goes on to suggest that those demanding the federal government enforce immigration laws are dangerous racists.

The DHS concludes that all these factions are a potential threat to the security of the nation. And that Mr. Obama’s team will be monitoring the activities of these rightwing terror suspects to protect the nation from harm. Will they be taking names and constructing profiles at these events?

DHS’ new mission is to protect the citizenry from those who oppose Mr. Obama’s agenda. The report is not subject to interpretation. Point blank, Americans were warned to stay home and shut-up if they don’t agree with Mr. Obama’s policies.

When an armed government body is directed to monitor the political opposition it is pure fascism. Keep in mind that candidate Obama recommended the establishment of a national police force, bivouacked in all fifty states, which would report directly to him.

It’s not paranoid to ask if the DHS’ new directive is Phase I of Obama’s plan to enforce the nationalization of politically correct thinking. Put it in context. This is the administration that wants to nationalize financial institutions and healthcare, control energy production, weaken the military and create wage scales for private industry.

This is the administration that constantly demeans private enterprise and the wealthy; one which uses the race card and class warfare to undermine capitalism.

And in the wings of this administration sits House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Rep. Henry A. Waxman, D-Calif., and Rep. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass.

They are sponsoring a bill which would allow anyone to sue the government or a private company “who has suffered, or reasonably expects to suffer, a harm attributable, in whole or in part, to government inaction on global warming.” Can you think of a better way to destroy private enterprise and re-distribute the nation’s wealth?

The United States won’t be a shadow of its former self if Obama’s agenda isn’t stopped in its tracks. Raise your voice and fight for the freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-78241381851455466192009-04-13T07:26:00.001-04:002009-04-13T07:30:01.302-04:00Ingrained ContemptMr. Barack Hussein Obama crossed a reception room and bowed from the waist to a Saudi King. The incident was recorded and sent around the world. This diplomatic break with twenty-one generations of American tradition summarizes his foreign policy, his world view and his mindset.

Naturally the White House denied he bowed subserviently and the mainstream media ignored the event. This formal deference seemed natural to him and evoked memories of Michelle Obama’s personal observation that she was never proud of her country.

Her statement and Obama’s gesture imply an ingrained disrespect and contempt for America. No evidence to the contrary, some recess in their minds can’t acknowledge America’s greatness and accept the reality of their own acceptance.

It seems neither is comfortable with the acclaimed power they have achieved. They are still jousting with windmills. And they are not alone. The congressional Black Caucus’ recent trip to Cuba had a similar scent about it. They couldn’t find enough words to praise the Castro brothers’ tyranny and bemoan America’s failures.

If the truth be told, they all grew up believing white Americans are their natural enemy, and they have transferred this mindset into despising a form of government built by white European men. This attitude is so ingrained that they can’t get beyond it.

Think about it. The Black Caucus only represents minorities and works on the premise that all whites are racists. Michelle Obama’s last job in Chicago was to insure that a hospital staff didn’t have too many white personnel. See the mutual context that underlines their thinking?

Obama represented ACORN, an organization that continues to blackmail financial institutions that refuse to grant loans to unaccredited minorities. And they both attended a church (for 20 years) that damned white Americans for the failure of blacks to prosper.

Capitalism can only endure in a nation that respects and rewards personal initiative and demands personal responsibility. Obama can’t admit the United States was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. The bedrock of Christianity is personal responsibility. This is why he stood in Turkey and defensively proclaimed our nation was non-sectarian.

Obama and Michelle’s character was forged in an era of political correctness, affirmative action, diversity and multi-culturalism. This is victimhood unleashed. It’s a doctrine that blames one person’s success for another’s failure. It’s based on the assumption that opportunity is a zero sum game and that tenacity and talent don’t deserve rewards.

This is the legacy that has conditioned Obama’s world view. This is what drives him to condemn America and apologize to the world for its success. This explains why he is so ready to dismantle the Pentagon and trash capitalism’s economic imperatives.

Obama is not blinded by hatred. He is ignorant of history, of capitalism and the tenets of Christianity. He can’t admit that capitalism opens the field of opportunity to all that care to try. He never studied the links between The Reformation, the seeds of the American Revolution and the Industrial Revolution.

He doesn’t grasp the simple truth that drove 12 million illegal aliens across our borders. Why? Because he was given a free ride, and it is the only passage he knows. That’s why his domestic vision reeks of redistribution. And that’s what makes his agenda un-American.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4889995911027199255.post-72802998218012404322009-04-09T07:43:00.001-04:002009-04-09T07:48:41.174-04:00From One Neanderthal to AnotherIt’s time for the Neanderthals to get with the program. And we all know who they are due to the diligence of the mainstream media.

These are the creatures that live and work in the 30 states that rejected Mr. Obama, and the voting minority in the 20 states who were overpowered by the forces of change and hope. They are the selfish, racist, war mongering, gun-toting Christians incapable of appreciating Obama’s vision for a new world order.

They are obsessed with the Constitution, national defense, border security, private enterprise, historically factual textbooks, deficits, religious freedom and states’ rights. This is the crowd that actually believes that government gets its power from the people. And sillier yet, they believe in personal responsibility and are proud of America.

These Stone Age, knuckle dragging voters can’t see the wisdom in slashing the budget for missile defense as North Korea and Iran perfect their long range nuclear capability. It’s hard to imagine, but they are repulsed by a President who travels abroad and apologizes to the world for a foreign policy that protected western civilization from the onslaught of communism.

They are appalled by a government that blames America for the blood letting of Islamic Jihadists and one that grants illegal aliens and terrorists the same rights that generations of Americans died to protect. Their attitude is so pedantic.

And they are so nearsighted. These foolish souls don’t understand why the Obama administration removed terrorism from the government lexicon. They just don’t get it. They’re still clinging to the outmoded belief that an enemy is an enemy. By declaring defeat, America ends the conflict. What’s not to understand about this clever ploy?

Their attitude about taxes is just plain despicable. They don’t comprehend how important government benevolence is. They selfishly cling to the belief that if they earn the money that they should get to keep it. That’s so . . . so yesterday’s thinking. What’s not to understand about the government helping people who prefer not to work?

That’s what makes taxes patriotic. So what if 44% of the expenditures incurred by Obama and the Democrats this year are funded by debt. Isn’t that why printing presses were invented?

It gets uglier. These morons have no faith in the United Nations. Think of the thousands of relatives of the delegates on its payroll, and the workers who make the blue helmets and the kickbacks earned by its leadership.

Without the UN no one could have guessed that the United States was the largest offender of human rights. It makes you want to live in Cuba, China, Iran or Somalia where human rights are respected.

And don’t even mention illegal immigration. These pre-historic beasts resent paying for the welfare and healthcare and education for those who unknowingly crossed an international border. They were just following the road signs erected by congress and the sanctuary cities. And give us a break! Without issuing them driver’s licenses how will they blend in with real Americans? Duh!

Well, from one Neanderthal to another, press #1 for English. Happy Easter.

Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04279759812976107160noreply@blogger.com
