Domino's Pizza Warrington Talent Winner Lucie Evans wins national competition.

Lucie Evans winner of 'Domino's Pizza Warrington Talent' held last year live in front of thousands of Warrington Wolves fans has gone on to scoop a £100,000 first prize in the national online talent competition 'Click to Fame' which was sponsored by Tesco Digital.

Lucie's prize for winning last year's Warrington Talent competition was a session at Tuff Gong Studios where she recorded four songs. Domino's Pizza made a video of each for their Warrington store website where Lucie's legion of fans could vote for their favourite.

The fans picked Crazy by Gnarls Barkley and Lucie entered this into the 'Click to Fame' competition by uploading it to their web site. It was an instant hit and since February has had tens of thousands of views. Last night at the award ceremony Lucie picked up a cheque for £20,000 and is now in discussions with the sponsors to work out how to spend the other £80,000 on building her career.

Hungry customers in West Warrington are set to have their appetites satisfied with the opening of a new Domino’s Pizza store in Great Sankey. The store on Liverpool Road, run by local franchisee Peter Thompson, opened its doors to the public on November 21, 2008. Among the first customers were none other than Mr & Miss Warrington Guardian, Ryan Farrington and Brogan Backhouse who turned up to sample the delicious piping, hot fresh pizza on offer. Rumours were abound that members of the Warrington Wolves, sponsored by Domino’s, were also amongst the store’s first customers.

Peter Thompson said: “I’m delighted to be opening another Warrington store and I’m looking forward to delivering fantastic pizzas to all the local residents, along with great side dishes like chicken kickers with hot sauce, garlic pizza breads and chocolate brownies. As an additional bonus, the store has created 20 new jobs in the area.

“Domino’s is a great way to treat the family to a night in, without the hassle of having to cook! Our extensive range of pizzas includes firm favourites like the Pepperoni Passion and Veggie Supreme as well as the chance for people to create their own from a whole host of toppings.

Lucie Evans recorded four songs at Tuff Gong Studioplex on Saturday. Have a look at the videos and and vote for your favourite song.

Lucie demonstrated an extraordinary range covering songs as diverse as the Leona Lewis versions of 'The first time ever I saw your face' and 'Could it be magic' to 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley. She finished the session with a cover of 'The power of love' that would give Jennifer Rush or Celine Dion a run for their money.

We would like to thank Latch at Tuff Gong for his help and support, not only did he make his facilities available but he spent the day with us mixing the tracks and even brought in a voice coach to help and advise Lucie through the session. The recording session was part of her prize for winning the final of Domino's Pizza Warrington Talent in front of 9000 people at the Halliwell Jones stadium. Her performance was so impressive that officials from the Rugby Football League have invited her to perform three songs in a ten minute set at the National League Grand Finals on Sunday 28th September.

Domino's Pizza Warrington Talent Winner Lucie Evans

Congratulations to Lucie Evans winner of Domino's Pizza Warrington Talent. Lucie won her heat in front of the Halliwell Jones stadium crowd on Friday 11th July. She went on to win the public vote after perfoming in the final on Sunday 17th August fighting off two outstanding performances by Christine Davies and Poppy Bridge.

Fifteen year old Lucy is a student at Birchwood Community High School. She will now record a CD at Tuff Gong Studioplex in Warrington. She will also be invited to perform as WINNER of Domino's Pizza Warrington Talent at the last match of the season versus Huddersfield Giants on Friday 5th September.

The Warrington public were given a week to vote in the competition and were urged to do so on the Warrington Guardian, Warrington Wolves & Domino's Pizza Warrington web sites and over the last week 1,400 of you did. Nine hundred of you for Lucie.

The Worlds fastest Pizza Delivery kicks-off the Wolves 'v' Castleford Match.

Everybody knows Domino’s Pizza has a reputation for fast pizza delivery but on Monday 26th May we will be setting new records. To celebrate the live finals week of Britain’s Got Talent sponsored by Domino’s Pizza we have teamed up with the Red Devils and the Warrington Wolves to deliver pizza into the Halliwell Jones Stadium via parachute as part of a feast of entertainment laid on for the match against Castleford.

The Red Devil’s certainly demonstrate talent, the team members are widely regarded as among the best display parachutists in the world!

Prior to kick-off the Red Devils parachute display will have seven team members, dressed in Domino’s Pizza uniform jumping from an altitude of up to 10,000ft. Trailing smoke to demonstrate their speed and movement, the highly-skilled skydivers will freefall at speeds of up to 120mph, before deploying their parachutes. Once safely under canopy, the team members will land in the Stadium and deliver a delicious, piping hot Domino’s Pizza to a member of the crowd.

Domino’s Pizza Store Manager Philip Thompson said, “We are delighted to sponsor the Red Devils for this event, in addition to displays, the Red Devils also help to raise over £100,000 for charity each year by carrying out Tandem Skydives with members of the public, and I am going to be jumping with them later this year to raise funds for the Special Olympics.”

Then at half time local singers who think they have the talent to perform in front of the Wolves home crowd are being given a unique opportunity to showcase their singing ability in the first of weekly heats leading up to a Grand Final and an opportunity to win studio time courtesy of local producers at Tuff Gong Studios to record their winning song!

It might surprise you to hear that, we had take-away pizzas delivered to our dressing room straight after last Friday’s game. One of our sponsors is leading pizza delivery company and they wanted to do something for the team. We didn’t need asking twice to put our orders in.

My favourite topping is pepperoni so I was really looking forward to this but when I got back into the room, all the pizzas had been snaffled apart from one slice!

I was gutted as well as starving and you can imagine how many boxes we had delivered but there was honestly nothing left!

I'm not naming names. Ok well I will. Two of our forwards Ben Westwood and Rob Parker were the main culprits, or should that be thiefs!

But then what do you expect from a front-rower and a back rower?
