Pasir Ris Park

We had some time before church on Saturday so decided to head down to Pasir Ris Park. Went to the playground area and Gabby had tremendous fun with Daddy. She ventured on most of the equipment in the playground together with Daddy. And she liked the flying fox thingy the most... She didn't dare to stand or walk on sand initially but she ended walking on the sand when Daddy 'tricked' her into it... and she didn't even realised it at all.

All in all, we had fun... and the weather was perfect, cloudy and not sunny. Well, Caelan was not in any action as he was sound asleep in the Beco. We'll definitely go there again, with the appropriate attire... =)

Show Kindness

I got Gabby to pick up a flower on the floor at the MRT station and returned to the lady who dropped it. In turn, she gave the flower to Gabby. She was elated. Playing with it in the train on our way home. There was a sticker on the flower about 'showing kindness'... However, the flower was in a 'tragic' state by the time we reached home. She had broken the flower stalk and the petals were all gone... =P

Separation Anxiety??

Lately, I've realised that Caelan has become quite clingy especially in church nursery. When we are in church, usually I'll leave him in nursery after changing Gabby's and his diapers and bring Gabby over to Playgroup. I will stay with her a while, before I head back to the nursery. Many times when I go back, I will find him crying, looking for me. And the workers can't calm and soothe him down at all. There was once, the worker had to come over to the playgroup to look for me.

Furthermore, these few weeks that Caelan was crying while I'm away with Gabby in playgroup, Gabby was also crying wanting me to stay with her in playgroup. There are occassions where I find her sitting outside with another kid, not wanting to go in and another time when she wore her shoes sitting by the door waiting for me. She just didn't want to join in the activities. I didn't know what happen, asked the teacher and they said nothing in particular happened to Gabby, so I also don't know what happened that made her cry whenever I want to leave her in Playgroup. When I asked her, she just said she wants me to stay with her.

Yesterday, Gabby was fine in Playgroup after a week break when I put her in Nursery 3 where she had a lot of fun playing with Jodie under the watchful eye of Aunty Diana and Aunty Donna. I was really at ease serving and knowing that Gabby was in great hands. Hopefully she'll be OK in the weeks to come. Well, as for Caelan, hopefully this phase will be over soon.

Trip to The Zoo

Fun @ Kidzworld

Daddy took leave and we went to The Zoo last Thus with 婆婆 and 姨姨. It was fun and enjoyable. First time we let Gabby played at the waterplay area in the Kidzworld and she had so much fun with Daddy. Even Raenen had so much fun that he did not want to get out of the pool, and I being the photographer, got wet by Raenen who sprayed me water with the 'water gun'. I was in shock that I froze for a moment when water was gushing into my face =P

It was a fun, fun, fun outing even though it rained a little at the later part of the outing... The kids were so tired that they had to be carried to the car... where they fell asleep on their way home.

Attempting to Stand??

So far, Caelan has learnt how to get on his knees in his playpen and sometimes he'll attempt to get on his knees while in the living room too... and now he knows how to get into sitting position when crawling on the floor, though still not very stable in sitting but he's slowing learning how to do all these.

So fast, he's a 6 month old boy already... It seemed like just yesterday when I've given birth to him (without epidural!).

Caelan started stomach crawling when he's coming to 6 months old, now at 6.5mos, he can crawl on his fours already... My strong boy... =)

First Ever Game

Saw this game machine outside a shop and decided to let Gabby try her hands on since it's only 50cts. She had fun initially but got bored at the later part where the minnie mouse pops up faster... well not that she's very good at it but I reckon it got a bit monotonous for her after a while... just keep hitting the minnie mouse that pops up. Gabby's first ever game that mummy inserted a coin for her to play...

It's Not Spicy

Ajisen Ramen

Had a quick dinner at Ajisen Ramen last Saturday after Service as Daddy has had to go and do his assignment after sending us home. No pictures of the food as we were hungry, rushing and it was freezing in the reataurant. =P

On Semi-Solids

I started feeding Caelan with plain rice cereals the day he turned 6 months. He didn't take to it for the first 2 days and things changed after he's gotten use to eating cereals. I've increased his cereals intake amount and now he will be very excited and start kicking his legs when he sees me preparing his cereals. He's still on plain rice cereals... will start introduce him sweet potato, pumpkin, carrots.... & etc soon =)

Mummy & Gabby

Am I garang or what? I actually brought the 2 kids for a swim last Thus. It was a last minute decision and off we go before the rain comes in the evening.

Caelan had his first-ever dip into the pool and he's very happy, excited and kept kicking in the water vigourously... even using his hands to beat the water like he always do during bath time... Gabby enjoyed herself too.

The swim didn't end very well though... While I was keeping the camera, Gabby who was still in the pool, slipped and fell into the water. Her head went into the water, tried to stand up straight but head went back down again. Turned and saw and quickly jump into the pool to carry her... she was terrified. Almost cried. Settled her emotionally and changed her and myself and off we go home.

Felt very bad towards her, apologised to her and I almost teared on our way home. Felt that I didn't take good care of her and almost let her drown in the pool.

Sorry Gabby, Mummy shouldn't have left you in the pool alone at all. I'm so sorry.

Lunch Out

I borrowed this exersaucer from Iris, passed down from Steph, quite some time ago... Caelan likes to sit in it. BUT if he sits in it for a long time, or he's alone in it with no one around him, he cries for attention.

Always have to get Gabby to stay with him in the living room or their rooms when I go away for a short while, because he hates being alone... =P

Gotten some woodern alphabets for the kids to decorate their room doors, halfway completed for Gabby's. She did the painting herself with some help from Mummy. Thinking of getting a hot pink paint to bringhten up some letters for Gabby's. =P

Nursing Room
