FRIENDS HOMECOMING

We met our friends coming from Los Angeles this morning at the city airport. The plane arrived as scheduled. We came to know there were seven families who came home. And more are coming this Saturday because they total to15. As planned, we were supposed to conduct them home to their town but the town mayor invited them over for a lunch at the town mayor's residence in the city, just near the airport. So, we were not able to talk to them for a long time. We expected it because their close family relatives got to the airport, too to receive them. Tomorrow, a debut birthday party is being held. We were invited but we might not attend as it is far and just the same we will not be able to talk to our friends intimately as they will be so busy. We reserved another time for them, one is at the Sulangan church and another one to be planned out, later.

FRIENDS NIGHT OUT

After a long time, I hang out with friends last night for about two hours. We discussed about our friends from Los Angeles visit to their hometown. We will meet them tomorrow at the airport and conduct them to their hometown. We will have a good time with our friends from LA on July 17 or 18. We plan to bring our friend with lung cancer to this miraculous church in Sulangan Guian Eastern Samar. I know many friends who were healed of their ailments when they come to this church and or their prayers were granted when they ask it from here. Its their faith that heal them, I suppose or grant their prayers. Its my first time to go there, too. I pray that there will be a miracle to our friend.

I was so pissed I could not bloghop when I had the time already. Blame it to the poor internet connection.

Since 5pm or maybe earlier than that my inrternet connection went stubborn. I had to reboot many times as I mistaken it for loose connection from my router to the modem. When the Congressman was at my workstation last week I talked to him if he could give transportation to a big number of people, the barangay officials, who will have a family day celebration to Canigao island. This island is the one I went with during our office conference and I marketed it to my clients back at my workstation. It is only two hours drive away from my place and a boat will ferry us to the island, which will take only about 15 minutes if the jump off point is the port near the town hall. There is a nearer port that takes only about 5 minutes. The Congressman promised to provide free transportation. During yesterday's meeting, the barangay leaders agreed to have August 1 as the date to hold the family day celebration. This will be fun. I don't worry because these are adults who I am going to accompany with.

When I went to the office, there were many of us whose eyes were swollen because of crying. I was not alone in staying up to watch the memorial service for Michael Jackson. I could not help it. I have been crying last night. It was all because of Michael Jackson. In his memorial service, I cried like I knew him even from watching the TV at Fox News. I cried almost the whole time of the memorial ceremonies. I was happy that he was somehow vindicated of all the accusations hurled against him. The Congresswoman who spoke was right, until Michael was proven guilty he remained to be innocent. He was a great music icon, his legacy of uniting races together is something, too. This has been a long and tiring day for me.

It is Monday here and I started the day by attending a meeting. And, another meeting. Whew, meetings can sometimes eat up most of office people's time. It was even good that the meeting venue were just in the same building. Tomorrow, I will be having a symposium on Mobilizing Local Response to Global Challenges. When I left for downtown this afternoon, the physical set up of the venue have still to be fixed for about 220 participants who are expected to attend in this symposium. Tonight I still have to prepare on my topic regarding global warming. Geez, I should not be staying up so late tonight because I should be so early to go to my workstation tomorrow.

I was in the mall after church this morning. This mall used to be the big one in the city, then. With the opening of the new and bigger mall I noticed a decline in the number of shoppers there. It used to have many shoppers on Sundays as normally people buy their groceries and other stuffs after church service. Now, I don't have to fall in line behind a long queu of people in the cash section. I love to buy my groceries in this mall than in the bigger mall.
