Thanks!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">Since its creation,<span style="font-weight: bold;"> IEAM Outbound</span> has been the spokesperson for families wishing to see increased presence of international sections in the local French schools. In 2005, our request was heard by the Rectorat, who has proposed to open an Anglophone section at Jean Monnet/Alco in September 2006. We will stay involved with this hot issue throughout the year to make sure it goes through!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" >Who is it for?</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">International sections have been designed to welcome foreign pupils into the French school system (they must represent between 25% and 50% of the total student body of the section). Ces ateliers sont réservés aux enfants des membres actifs de <span style="font-weight: bold;">l’IEAM Outbound</span> et nécessitent une maîtrise suffisante de l’anglais pour y participer.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial; font-weight: bold;">Club - </span><span style="font-family: arial;">Pour enfants de niveau primaire, âgés entre 6 et 11 ans, ce programme a pour but de développer l'aptitude des enfants à lire et à écrire en anglais, pour faciliter leurs études futures et leur permettre d'acquérir ainsi certaines connaissances essentielles de la culture Anglophone. Nous veillerons cette année à ce que ce projet aboutisse.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Pour qui ?</span><br />Les sections internationales ont été conçues pour accueillir dans des classes françaises des élèves étrangers (ils doivent représenter entre 25 et 50 % de l'effectif des sections), faciliter tant leur insertion dans le système scolaire français que leur éventuel retour dans leur système scolaire d'origine, ainsi que pour créer, à la faveur de leur présence, un cadre propice à l'apprentissage par les élèves français d'une langue vivante étrangère à un haut niveau.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Enseignement</span><br />Enseignement primaire : (CP-CM2)3 à 6 heures sur 26h hebdomadaires d'enseignement en langue vivante étrangère.<br /><br />Enseignement secondaire : Collège (6ème-3ème) = 6 heures supplémentaires par semaine<br /><br /></span><ul style="font-family:arial;"><li><span style="font-size:130%;">2 heures hebdomadaires d'histoire-géographie en langue vivante étrangère, en plus des 2h hebdomadaires classiques, sur la base d'un programme établi en concertation par les autorités françaises et les autorités du pays intéressé au fonctionnement de ces sections.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:130%;"> 4 heures hebdomadaires de lettres étrangères dans la langue du pays concerné, en plus des horaires normaux de la langue vivante étrangère utilisée dans la section.<br /></span></li></ul><span style=";font-family:arial;font-size:130%;" ><br />Lycée (2nde-Tle) = 6h suppl/semaine + 3h option<br /><br />L'année de 2nde est similaire au Collège pour ce qui est de l'enseignement. L'orientation vers les diverses séries du baccalauréat général se fait pour la 1ère et la Tle, en fonction de ses trois possibilités : L (Littéraire), ES ( Economique et Social), ou S (Scientifique).<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Diplômes obtenus</span><br />Brevet des collèges, option internationale, en fin de 3ème portant sur la littérature et la langue anglaise ; a pour équivalent le GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) pour le système britannique ou le Middle School Assessment Test pour les Etats Unis d'Amérique.<br /><br />L'option internationale du baccalauréat (OIB) est comptabilisée (avec un très fort coefficient (entre 7 et 10) dans la note globale de l'examen. Elle équivaut à 3 Advance Placement tests pour l'option américaine, ou 3 A levels pour l'option britannique, en Littérature Anglaise, Histoire et Géographie.<br /><br />Si vous souhaitez que vos enfants aient accès à ce type d’enseignement, vous pouvez <a href="http://www.ieam.info/2007/07/petition-letter-to-bring-bac-to-herault.html">compléter la demande d’ouverture</a> de section anglophone à Montpellier.
