Hello everyone and welcome to spring. Hopefully the nice weather is here to stay. Right now we are working on getting ready for our annual Open House which takes place in June. It keeps us busy and time goes by fairly quickly so we like to get a good head start on sprucing things up around our beautiful building.

This year marks our 70th year in business, pretty amazing for a company these days to stay around so long. It definitely says something about our great management team and the wonderful staff we have to be around so long. The great services we provide has a little something to do with it. I wish everyone a successful year ahead in business and I'm optimistic things will get better and our economy will get back to where it belongs.

Remember to keep your paper in a cool environment before the warm weather comes. Moisture can be a real paper killer. Blog you later

Happy New Year everybody. I hope you all have a successful and profitable 2009. Hey, does anyone out there know of any groups that get together for Service Managers to meet and discuss things on a regular basis? It certainly would be nice to bounce a few things off some people that are doing the same things or having the same problems. I'm not complaining but it's always nice to hear other ideas. Our department is very busy right now and that's a good thing considering the economy these days. I have definitely noticed that parts costs have gone way up over the past year and I'm hoping that the gas prices will not kill us this year. Gotta go do some maintenance on a scanner, talk to you soon.

BIEL’S RAISES $750 FOR THE WARM THE CHILDREN FUND OF WESTERN NEW YORK

West Seneca, New York (January, 2009) – Biel’s Information Technology Systems raised $750 for the Warm the Children Fund of Western New York.

Motivated by the efforts of deceased Finishing Department Manager, Donna Burger, Biel’s holds an annual Theme Basket Fund Drive. The basket themes this year were: “Day Off,” “Tool Time,” “Everything Chocolate,” “Travel in Style,” “Our Fine Feathered Friends,” “Holiday Spirits,” “Hickory Farms,” “Warm up for the Holidays,” “Lottery” and “Soups On.” The Donna Burger Memorial Fund Raiser, as the effort is now referred to, has raised over $3,000 since December 2002 for the Warm the Children Fund.

Tickets are sold to employees and they are placed into raffle boxes for corresponding baskets. The winner is then drawn at the annual company Christmas party. This year Biel’s went full circle with this event by becoming volunteer shoppers and taking needy families shopping.

Hello everybody. Just received our first snowfall of the year here in Buffalo. It was only a few inches and it has already melted. Now you know that Thanksgiving and Christmas are not far behind. Speaking of eating and drinking, our company recently held a little get together for all the employees. What a great time we all had. We had it at Dave and Busters which is like a large video arcade for adults. They also have a bowling alley and pool tables. The food was fantastic and I hope we get a chance to do it again next year. We are getting to the end of another year already. What happened to 2008. I hope it was a great year for all of you and I wish you all good health and happiness in 2009. Talk to you soon

To this extent- In July, digital operator Keira Smith completed Access 2003-Level 1 training and just this month, digital operator, Tim Welch, completed Access 2003 Level 2 training.
