The provinces’ annual Ski and Ice festivals are well known and widely          celebrated. Heilongjiag boasts a geography of over 177, 607 square miles          and is home to over thirty-six million individuals.&lt;br /&gt;       &lt;br /&gt;        Heilongjiang has long been a travel gateway from the country of China to          Europe and Russia. It is bordered by Inner Magnolia, Jilin and Russia.          Subsequently, the population is pretty diverse. There are nearly thrity-five          different ethnic groups residing in Heilongjiang alone. The most          prominent are the Hezehe fishermen, the Daur and the Ewenki hunters.&lt;br /&gt;       &lt;br /&gt;        It is best to visit Heilongjiang in the summer. This is because the          winters are very harsh. Winter temperatures typically range from -31          degrees Celsius to -15 degrees Celsius.&lt;br /&gt;       &lt;br /&gt;        Great places to visit within the province are Wu Da Lian Chi, a volcano          garden and various snow resorts. The Jing Polaki is also a nice place to          visit. It is the biggest mountain lake in the entire country of China.          Also consider the Diao Shi Lou. It is a beautiful waterfall that one          should not miss if they visit the Province of Heilongjiang.&lt;br /&gt;       &lt;br /&gt;        The annual Ski and Ice festivals are held in the winter months of          December to January. During these two festivals, you will get to enjoy          ice carvings and various winter masterpieces. Heilongjiang also hosts          beautiful summer events as well, annually holding summer concerts that          feature amongst other types of music, Chinese classic music.&lt;br /&gt;       &lt;br /&gt;        Heilomjiang is a province that is rich in natural resources, especially          petroleum. In fact the province has the largest petroleum resources in          all of China. The Daqing Oil Fields are one of the biggest in the entire          world. The province also has rich soil, water resources, forest and          mineral resources, particularly gold and lead.&lt;br /&gt;       &lt;br /&gt;        Most residents reside in the mid-western plains, some in the          mid-southern hills and mountains and very few in the northern mountains          and the eastern plains. The density of the population is low and the          amount of incoming residents is slow. The population density is greatest          within the cities.&lt;br /&gt;       &lt;br /&gt;        Heilongjiang is a beautiful northeastern Chinese province. It is known          for its’ cool weather and snowy, icy conditions. The Ski and Ice          Festivals are annual events that always draw a crowd. It is a very          diverse province with over thirty-five ethnic groups.
