Jordan Rosenberg Speaks With The Middlecast

Jordan Rosenberg is part of The Middleman writing team (The Middleman was created by Lost writer and supervising producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach) and also co-wrote The Lost Experience as well as the Season 3 Claire episode, Par Avion.

Listen in as Jordan discusses The Middleman and also takes some time to answer questions about working with Damon, Carlton and Javi. He also takes time to answer some questions about co-writing The Lost Experience with Javi and co-writing Par Avion with Christina Kim.

Lost fans enter the Octagon

When Comic-Con opens its doors July 24, don’t be surprised to see “Lost” fans lining up in droves — with resumes in hand.

In addition to the regular panel with showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse and cast members, this year’s confab will see the presence of Octagon Global Recruiting, a company in the “Lost” universe touted in commercials during May’s season-four finale.

Fans who registered their email addresses at the Octagon website received an email last month touting the faux firm’s upcoming Comic-Con appearance.

Michael Benson, exec VP of ABC Marketing, says the campaign is aimed at keeping current fans interested until the show’s February return, and to catch the eye of people who hadn’t watched before. “We were trying to play it like it was real and not break that fourth wall,” Benson says.

While Benson is keeping mum about what will be revealed at Comic-Con, the Octagon email did have an intriguing bonus hook: It was cc’d to a Mr. Hans Van Eeghen, who may or may not have something to do with the ever-broadening “Lost” universe.

Since boarding Oceanic Flight 815, the dashing doctor has made the thought of being deserted on a strange island a lot more appealing to females everywhere. From the moment the passengers hit the beach, this talented spinal surgeon gets to work, saving lives and stealing hearts. A natural leader, Jack is haunted by a very troubled past and if the recent flash forwards are anything to go by, he looks set to have a rather bleak future. Losing out to Sawyer when it came to winning Kate’s affections, he has now switched his attentions to Juliet, so sorry ladies, if you want a piece of The Shephard you’ll have to join the queue. Hard when he needs to be, Jack is not afraid to crank up the violence yet he is gentle and caring with those he protects. However, many questions still hang over his head – even his own identity is a mystery, as we are constantly reminded of by his tattoo, which reads, “He walks among us, but he is not one of us.” Though he’s famed for ‘fixing’ people, we’re sure he’s broken more than his fair share of hearts.

Convicted killer, crash survivor and all round badass, Kate is the island’s resident man magnet. The apple of both Jack and Sawyer’s eyes, she chooses naughty over nice. Kate is a survivor in every sense of the word, her life before the crash was spent on the run, while on the island she is the strongest of the female characters and is always willing to take extreme measures if she believes it’s for the greater good. She is one of the [un] lucky few to escape the island and make it back to civilisation but with who? Despite being stranded on the island, Kate still manages to maintain her sexy allure, resisting the urge to (how shall we shall say?) ‘Go French’ – any man stranded with her should consider himself very lucky indeed.

Yunjin Kim Finds Home in LA's Koreatown

"Lost" star Kim Yun-jin has found herself a home in Los Angeles' Koreatown.

Kim, a South Korean actress who plays Sun Kwon on the ABC series, said she plans to move into the Summit on Sixth condo development when construction is complete later this year.

Kim reserved a one-bedroom unit with a den, which generally sells for between $660,000 and $880,000, sales director Tamara Kim said Tuesday.

The actress will promote the luxury condo project in Korean- and English-language magazine and newspaper advertisements, according to developer Big Rock Partners LLC. She reserved a unit while meeting with developers about promoting the project, said Big Rock spokeswoman Phyllis Hu.

"When I toured the property, I was really impressed with the design and its central location," Kim Yun-jin said in a news release.

The building sits at the intersection of two major streets cutting through Koreatown, a bustling 5-square mile area of central Los Angeles featuring hundreds of Korean-owned businesses.

Tamara Kim said the developer was eager to recruit Kim Yun-jin as its spokeswoman for the 11-story project because of her appeal to a broad swath of potential Korean and Korean-American buyers.

Kim Yun-jin became an international star with her performance on "Lost" after an acting career that included a starring role in "Swiri," a 1998 movie considered the first South Korean blockbuster.

"She's very popular in Korea and she's well known in the Korean community here," Tamara Kim said. "She has a wide audience."

It could be argued that any of the men of Lost could be on this list, but Sawyer definitely leads the pack. In the beginning, he was conniving, sarcastic and only looked out for himself, and while the sarcasm remains, he has shown his sensitive sides, in his relationship with Kate, his big-brother and uncle role with Claire and Aaron, and his overprotectiveness of Hurley.
