Hello Everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed your week off and the Memorial Holiday, I know I did. This Sunday is Graduation Sunday, we will be recognizing all of our Graduating Seniors from both High School and College. It would mean a lot to the graduates if we were all there to support them on this great achievement. There will be a short reception on the lawn following the 10:00am service to congratulate them.
This will be our last Sunday for regularly scheduled Sunday Youth Events. We will be going to see Prince Caspian at Studio 28 at 1:15pm. Lunch will be provided after church, and then we will head to the movie tickets are $8.00. The show starts at 1:15 and has a running time of 2.5 hours so we should be back to church a bit after 4pm. Please RSVP so I know how much pizza to buy for lunch, I have been asking for RSVP’s all year, lets make our last Sunday Group Activity extra special and actually RSVP, yeah!!
If you have paid your deposit and are planning on going to cedar point there will be a quick 5 min mandatory meeting in the Fireside directly after the 10:00am service this Sunday. Since we were not able to get all the people needed for the bus we had to change plans some and we need to go over that, it is very important that everyone who is going be there. If you can not make it please contact me so I can go over the schedule changes with you. Thanks Matt

Hello All,
This Sunday May 18th, we will be having a Progressive Dinner with two stops. We will start at 5:30 pm at the Guy’s house for Appetizers and Salad. Their address is 125 Baynton Ave. NE, just a mile or so away from the Church. Then at 6:15 we will load up and head to the Parrott’s house for dessert and hang out time. Pick up will also be at the Parrott’s house @ 1125 Ellsmere St. NE. at 7:30ish. It would be nice to have a couple parent drivers if needed, so if you can hang out on Sunday and eat some good food with us, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Everyone,

Just a reminder that Cedar Point is coming up fast. Money is due this Sunday May 11th, $58 to hold your spot, with out your money in I can not reserve the bus. So far I have only received money for 5 people and we need 48 to go, so I hope a bunch of you are waiting until the last minute. If you have any questions about the trip please let me know. Also there will be no Youth this Sunday, instead you have to wait on your Mom, hand and foot. Please get that Cedar Point money in by May 11th, with out 48 people signed up with there money we will not be able to make the trip.

First Weekend in May

Hey Everybody,
This is a busy weekend with lots of opportunities for everyone. First off on Saturday there will be an all church clean up morning, it would be great if some of you could show up and help out and really let the church know how much we appreciate everything they do for us. On Sunday we will meet as usual, and it is going to be Marshmallow Blaster Night, trust me it is going to be crazy fun. I will not be able to be around this weekend, I am having some foot surgery to fix my Frankenfoot, so Mr. Guy and perhaps a few other adults will be there to partake in Marshmallow Blaster Night.
I will miss seeing you guys, but really think Sundays Program is going to be a lot of fun and you won't even know that I am gone.

This Sunday April 20th we have the great pleasure of hosting Ron Grant for an engaging presentation in Cult Studies and Terrorism. Mr. Grant is a Psychologist and a former Wesley Foundation Director at Western Michigan University. This is going to be a great program dealing with issues of the basic human condition that we can all benefit from. Please help us show Mr. Grant how much we appreciate him coming, by having a large number turn out to support this program. Parents are invited to stay and listen as this is a program that deals to all ages.

With spring fast approaching there is a lot to discuss and many events to make sure you have on your calendar. First off April 6th there will be no Church Activities, including Sunday school and youth group, this is due to Spring Break!
Our next Youth Group will be on April 30th and will be movie night, so pick up will be at 8pm.
It is time to start thinking about Cedar Point. Our planned date is Tuesday June 24th and the cost will be $80.00, there is a required deposit of $50.00 due by May 11th, no exceptions. We will be taking a chartered bus down there and will need this deposit money to hold your place. If you have any questions about this trip or think you might need help with the cost, please don't hesitate to contact me at youthoftrinity@gmail.com
Also if anyone is going to be in church this Easter Sunday, we could use some help with the processional, its really easy, just carrying some flowers in, there will also be reserved seats available for your family if you are going to help, so you can all sit together.
It is also time to start thinking about next year's mission trip, I am starting the planning stages now, so we will be very organized when the time comes. I have not chosen a destination yet or anything like that, but it would be helpful to know how many of you have a passport.

Sunday March 9th...BOWLING!!

That's right nothing says good old fashioned church fun like a night at the lanes. We will be traveling to Miracle Lanes on Plainfield. Cost will be $12.00 that will include shoes and two games. However if we can get everyone to RSVP to me by Wednesday, I may be able to get us a little better package, it would still be the same price but would include unlimited bowling for our time there and a pitcher of Soda and tub o' popcorn. So if you want to join us for bowling on Sunday night. We will leave Church promptly at 5:45pm, so if you want to eat dinner here at church get here right at 5:30 so you will have time to eat. We will also need a parent driver or two, so if any parents want to hit the lanes with us we would really appreciate it. Sunday March 16th.

SUGARBUSH FARMS, Okemos, MI

Just a reminder we will be traveling to Okemos, MI to check out the Historic Sugarbush Farms, this is a working Dairy and Maple Syrup Farm. We will get a private tour of the Sap and Syrup facilities and have time to explore. We will be leaving right after the 11 o'clock service that Sunday. We will have a quick Pizza lunch and then take off, it is about an hour ride, and we plan to spend a couple of hours at the farm and then return in time for everyone to get to their Sunday night activities. This will count as our Youth Group activity for that Sunday so we will not meet again that night. Families are welcome to join us as, this is a very unique experience. We will also need a few volunteer adult drivers for this activity also. If any one is willing please let me know ASAP, so I can plan.

I am looking for 6 youth that would like to assist Carole and I with communion this Sunday at the 11 o'clock service. Frank will be out of town preaching so it is up to us to run the show. For our Sunday Night Program we will be watching the DaVinci Code, please remind your parents that pick up time will be 8 o'clock this Sunday as we want to be able to watch and discuss the entire movie. We will get in to some fact v. fiction discussion and try to solve the mystery ourselves. I hope to see you all there. We had an awesome turn out last Sunday, lets see even more of you this Sunday.

This Weekend Feb.15th-17th

Hey Guys.
Sorry we had to cancel Sundays Ski outing, but it was just way to cold outside. We are going to try and reshcedule it, and if not we will definetely do it again next year. There are a couple of things comming up this weekend I could really use your help on.
Friday Feb. 15th @ 5:30pm We have been invited to help serve a very small dinner at church, we are looking for some volunteers that could come and help, they are willing to donate some money to our program, which is very cool.
Later that frinday night anyone and everyone who is available from about 7pm on, we will be having a giant cleansing of a couple of rooms downstairs, to make way for an actual youth space. We will be claming a couple huge rooms of our own to set up a great game and lounge area, we would really appeciate anyone who can come help.
Sunday Feb. 17th PROGRAMMING CHANGE!! We will be meeting at our normal time for dinner and program. We will be working in the Art Room helping create and paint the mural that will eventually wrap the church for the lenten season. This is our chance to create and be as expressive as we want to be. Please wear painting close, and be ready to have a blast!!

SuperBowl Sunday!!

All right the sub order is placed. You guys did a great Job, we sold just a little over 300 subs. Now the fun part, we have to sort them, hand them out and collect the money. So I need anyone and everyone at Church Sunday morning at 8:30 am, all the subs will already be made we just have to sort the orders. We need to get this done first thing on Sunday at 8:30 so we can start handing out orders right after the early service. Please email me at youthoftrinity@gmail.com to let me know you are coming. We will get some muffins and juice for breakfast.

Also don't forget that we are meeting for youth group right after the 11 o'clock service for a game of OUTDOOR ( dress appropriately ) Super Bowl touch football. We will get a quick lunch and then head over to the park for the game. We should be back o the church right around 3 pm. If any parents want to come and ref or even play that would be great.

Allright Listen Up! We have alot going on and it is very exciting. First off; keep selling those subs, every sale will help us fund some really cool activities.

This Sunday Feb 3rd. Please, please try to be on time to youth group, right at 5:30 or even a bit before. We will inhale a quick and delicious dinner and then we will be going to Studio 28th to see the 6:10pm showing of "The Great Debaters" a Denzel Washington movie that really delves into issues with race and equality, which is a fitting topic for MLK weekend. Please let your parents know that this will put us back at church around 8:30 as it is a 2 hour movie. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for kids.

Hey Everybody...

Wanted to put up a few details about the sub sale so they are in writing.

Subs are $3.00 a piece and we want to have all the orders in by January 27th. It will work best if we collect money when we deliver on Feb 3rd. Making all money due no later than Feb 10th, to allow you to deliver and collect to anybody you sell to outside of church. I will make some envelopes for you to collect with. Please take this seriously and try to sell all you can, as this will really help us raise some funds to do some great things this year.

This Sunday will kick off the new year for us, and our first meeting since the lock in. Directly following the 11am service there will be a youth council meeting, and all are invited. As usual I will be in the balcony if anyone wants to sit with me during church.
For our evening program we will meeting at 6ish for dinner and then break off for some group building activities. Frank will be joining us for this and we are going to play a couple of games and do some team building exercises. It should be a lot of fun. Hope to see everyone there.

This sunday we will be meeting after church for a quick lunch and to go on a shopping trip to buy some gifts for those less fortunate than us. It would be great if everyone would come to the 11 o'clock service and then we can all meet directly afterwards to go shopping. New Art Series

Important Please Read: Sunday Changes!!

All right, there are a few changes for this Sunday, but nothing to get to worked up about. We will still be doing Goodie Bags following the 11am worship service, and we would still love to see all the youth up in the balcony for church. The one major change is that there will be no All Church Dinner following the service, instead we will be eating lunch as a group, probably pizza or something similar. Following that lunch, we will go out and deliver our goodie bags. Then for those of you looking for some Sunday night fun, we will have that for you also. There WILL be our normal all Church Sunday evening supper, and then directly following supper during 6:30 to 7:00 pm Sacred Time we will have a Drum Circle –
Join friends (old and new!) in the Discovery Room, as we gather into a circle for the purpose of making music with percussion instruments!

Bring your own drum or rhythm instrument, or use one of the drums we will have available!

So please join us for a fun filled day of fellowship, food and music. Hope to see everyone Sunday.

Thanksgiving Table Project
