My first impression of Leah was that of a clean and sober Amy Winehouse with a hint of Norah Jones.

Many performers instantly remind you of what is familiar. If they are good, it usually takes a week or two for that sound to take on its own identity. Leah's debut record, At the Root, did just that. Now the 23-year-old composer-songstress sounds like herself and no one else. Equally impressive as her record is The Leah Randazzo Group's live show. Even if you stumbled upon her performance, you gravitate toward the stage, moving your feet to the jazz-funked up sounds. Leah sways across the stage with sex appeal, but that appeal is always outshined by her powerful vocals. Full Article

On the day of the event, your band will put their names in a lottery to determine the Grand Prize winner of Grand Band Slam. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $10,000 marketing package which includes year long advertising in print and online, professional publicity stills, and recording time at Northfire Studios. Composer and vocalist Leah Randazzo, 24, is a naturally gifted performer of uncommon charisma who knows how to bring an audience to its feet with her powerful voice and high-energy stage performance. Her original songs, described as jazz-infused R&B and funk, are sophisticated and soulful compositions that belie her young age. Leah's stunning debut album "At the Root," produced by Michael Gregory, has been acclaimed for having a sound that doesn't pigeonhole itself stylistically; musically it's as dynamic and fluid as Randazzo's voice.

The Leah Randazzo Group, a septet that includes vocals, rhythm section, and horns, formed in the spring of 2005 and has been touring nationally since. The Leah Randazzo Group was recently named "Best Jazz" for the second year in a row in western Massachusetts and the Pioneer Valley (Valley Advocate).
