Distributism And The Hoped For Revolution:

Many find it difficult to see the connection between Perennialism and Distributism. The video below shows clearly the hijacking of religion in order to create a revolutionary materialist movement. The most ironic thing about the Distributists is that while they object to the materialism found in Communism and exaggerated Capitalism, they themselves become obsessed with economics, land use, and land ownership. They even attach supernatural attributes to land ownership and use. This trait is clearly seen in Derek Holland's The Political Soldier. In the end, this brand of Distributistm becomes in principle, as materialistic and revolutionary as Communism. This probably is not the case with all or most Distributists. Hopefully, this trend does not develop past an intellectual revolutionary spirit into a practical one.

Michal Semin; The Political Hijacking Of The SSPX And Traditional Catholicism?

Below is an article posted on June 23, 2008. In it, Michael Semin appears to lament that only the SSPX, The Angelus, and other Traditional Catholics, back John Sharpe's work Neo-Conned. We believe that there is no such official approval. Readers are asked to refer to the "Label" section of this site to refer to the radicals, and in one case a convicted terrorist, who support "Neo-Conned." Readers should also take note of the two founders of this "Catholic Press" (John Sharpe and Derek Holland) My guess is that Semin will be hard pressed to obtain an official approval from any religious organization, Traditional or otherwise, that officially backs John Sharpe and/or Neo-Conned. If Semin does obtain any, we will gladly post any official endorsement from a Catholic General Superior stating such approval. If there are not any, it is time that Semin and his friends stop acting as if they are running a Church approved movement.

Fringe Watch: Touchstone Magazine And Leon Podles

In this post we take a break from the political periphery to look at some religious fringe behavior. At the beginning of this year Touchstone magazine came out heavily endorsing Leon Podles' new book Sacrilege (Crossland Foundation), which claims to expose, in excruciating detail, the Catholic clerical sex scandals.

Plenty of reliable and faithful Catholic writers have grappled with this problem. But Podles goes even further and indulges in unsubstantiated reports which undermine his credibility. This even prompted Fr. John Neuhaus at First Things, in his January 2008 commentary, to say:

"It is a rambling essay of more than five hundred pages on a potpourri of items picked up from the public media and the blogosphere, including, along with the kitchen sink, stomach-turning details of abuse, mainly with boys, and a scathing, if familiar, indictment from a conservative perspective of liberal depredations that brought things to this sorry pass. Regrettably, the tone is shrill, and even righteous anger does not justify the author’s suspension of caution and charity in attributing motives."(Click for entire article. MADRID (Reuters) - Spain's parliament voiced its support on Wednesday for the rights of great apes to life and freedom in what will apparently be the first time any national legislature has called for such rights for non-humans.

Parliament's environmental committee approved resolutions urging Spain to comply with the Great Apes Project, devised by scientists and philosophers who say our closest genetic relatives deserve rights hitherto limited to humans.

"This is a historic day in the struggle for animal rights and in defense of our evolutionary comrades, which will doubtless go down in the history of humanity," said Pedro Pozas, Spanish director of the Great Apes Project.

A former British National Party activist who converted to Islam in jail is trying to radicalise young prisoners, the BBC has learned.

Inmate Stephen Jones is being held in a segregation unit at Whitemoor Prison, Cambridgeshire, the BBC has been told.

The convicted murderer was put there after being suspected of recruiting for groups allied to al-Qaeda.

The case has raised concerns that some radical Muslims are using prisons as a recruiting ground.

The BBC has been told that Jones, who is serving a life sentence, has been held in segregation at Whitemoor for about three weeks with two other Muslim prisoners.

Sources have told the BBC he was caught attempting to radicalise a number of fellow inmates after he himself converted to Islam.

'Potential threat'

The BBC understands that intelligence sources believe that he is being paid by an al-Qaeda-influenced group.

The Irish just had a great victory over the latest E.U. treaty. More and more it seems, that wherever a conservative cause is found,the European National Front is sure to be near.

Readers should pay attention to Barrett's defense of himself. Notice that he will often deny knowing exactly what was going on at the NPD rally he was speaking at.
