The wonderful peeps at NightCulture are bumping their second installment of the ambitious NOISE party tonite @ Light Bar (408 Congress Ave). I've never had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Sunshine do his thing, but witnessing his certain combination of equal parts Jesus and Bryan Ferry, plus his girlfriend thingy who dresses like Pocahontas on LSD... well, the two are just a sight to see!

Think the cover is $10 bucks, which ain't bad... I think a handful of peeps in town could use a good show that they paid hard earned money for. All this free shit makes folks jaded, show some support and love, I know you got it!

I love how Mr. Butler has again commissioned a classic house producer/DJ to do a remix. Gawd! So, I know that, as far as bloggers go, I might be in the running for slacker of the year, but I've been busy! Surriously! So look, I've been moving all last week and getting setteled into my new place, that's been the biggest disruption of my life. In addition to that, I decided to get so sick that I thought I was puking my soul out... the body aches, chills and diarrhea was just the icing on the shit cake. Also, the planets where aligned against us all, and I can tell you what, blogging was the last thing on my mind at that point. But the times are clearing and as we move into the second month of this new year, good things are on the horizon!

First up, this Saturday, the mighty Computer Club will be gracing us for a special "Version 1.5" of WILD LIFE! Computer Club, aka Gigantor of Evol Intent, is producing some of the heaviest, dirtiest, most twisted electro-club bangers around. Anyone who is familiar with Drum & Bass could definitely identify how Computer Clubs involvement with Evol Intent is shining through into his new project.

So, SOUNDS! FUN! is back for the month of February and we got a killer line up of special guests and close friends. Of course the Limited Disco Edition will be back, this month being our 7th installment. Also, we got Retrovox making the trip up from the valley to give us his hot electro vibes from yester-year (more to come on him soon). But tomorrow, some of my closest Dallas town buddies are coming down to rock the decks for you, so don't disappoint them by coping out and saying u partied too hard watching the super bowl or something.

Red Sean and Schwa are some of Dallas' heaviest hitters. Sean is the leader of Dallas electro rockers Sydney Confirm and those of you who have been with S!F! since the beginning will remember Schwa as one half of the Dallas Disco Duo, Cool Out. These two party rockers are taking time out theys busy schedules to come and rock with us, lets give them a warm, Austin welcome!

Been digging on these new Twelves remixes for the last few days, you remember them, right? Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky enough to see their show in December, but I heard it was blinding, boo hoo for me.

As a side note, if u ever get around to it, check out the Zeitgeist album, Jade Hotel, it's amazing and definitely one of the most overlooked albums of 2008. Glad to see such amazing artists giving them proper remix action.

So, like the headline say's: Glasnost is your friend.... at least, if they weren't before, they are now. The quintet of "electro-rockers" (i dislike that term, but it fits and... you get the idea) hail from Houston and have opened for the likes of Digitalism and Miha Hatori, of Cibo Mato.

Fronted by producer/vocalist/keyboardist Brandon Duhon, aka DJ Cuba Gooding, Jr, the Glasnost boys are producing some fine, fine live electronic dance music that would fry the circuit board of any robot who dare not dance to their sonic assault.

Keep your ears open and be on look out for these guys as they descend upon the Beauty Bar this Saturday (the 27th) for their first Austin gig, supported by Austin's own, The White White Lights!
