Summer Time In San Clemente

This was the first Saturday of Summer with the schools out and people from all over the world showing up to enjoy San Clemente beaches. The water has warmed up to 67 to 70 and it gets up to 72 to 75 at times throughout the summer. It was a beautiful to say the least with much to see and enjoy. Live in moment and enjoy each day to the fullest.

Learning to sail through life

It's not all about enjoying the smooth sailing through life in relationships it's all about how two people work together through the small storms that life creates to makes us better people. We meet people to learn from or remind us of what is important and what is not important. Ive been told we meet our emotional equals which I believe there is some truth to that statement. I also realize that two people can only go so far together and it's part of the journey to move on from people and remain friends with some and other sometimes never see again. So don't be sad or disapointed when that day comes and it's time to move on because it's in meeting all the different people in each of our lives is what shapes our soul and spirit to break all the negative conditioned patterns from our past. So enjoy each day to the fullest and work together with your partner and work through your own conditioning and life will only get better.

Letting go of the past

Letting go of the past is easeir said then done on many levels. The mental and the emotional levels are very strong indeed. It's a great place t be when one realizes the more one lets go the more good seems to grow. It might be a family issue or a work issue or a relationship issue they are all attachments and it's up to each of us to let those attachment go. When one sees that everything is part of the lessons needed to become a better person then and only then one begins to open up to knew opportunities with work,family and relationships. So be thankful and grateful for every experience we all have it is only happening to shape our lives for a healthier life today. Enjoy today it's all we have.

Be a energy maker not a energy taker

With that being said yes we all create energy every second of each day. The key is what type of energy are we creating? I believe the key is creating a positive energy maker. If it's not positive then you become a negative energy taker. There are warriors victims and villains and the victims and villains are energy takers. So today be a warrior and keep your guard up for the energy takers they are everywhere. The great thing is when one realizes we attract what we think and feel then all we have to do is focus on all the good positive people places and things in our lives. So enjoy today and the only thing we can change is today. Keep life simple like the native people did for thousands of years.

The Spirit of John Cuchessi is Alive and well

I met John when I was 10 through my brother Steve. They were good friends. John would always stop and talk with me about anything anytime i stopped in his shop. I miss him very much as i know his son wife and all his family does as well. 5-18-08 Is a day that shocked everyone who knew John. He went doing what he loved. He was a excellent surfer,water man,bike rider and a first class man and family man. I don't believe we die only the body we have at the moment. Johns spirit is alive and well.

I just finished painting the rails black. This is the final painting stage on the foam. The surfboards now goes to get glassed and then sanded. The final step will be high lighting everything on the sanded coat. Then the board gets a double gloss coat and polished.

When you let go of the past negative conditioned patterns in current situation thats when life truely becomes enjoyable every day. Also when you realize your repeating the same patterns in a current relationship or business venture that is when things begin to change. When we change the way we look at things the things we look at change. So with that being said hope everyone is enjoying today and getting outdoors one time or another and breath deep and let go and let life flow.

This painted surfboard is going to be a night scene with a moon island and palm trees and of course waves. I just finished putting on the first layers for the sky and the water. The board is 6'10 by 19.50 wide. All of the surfboards I paint are functional surfboards to be ridden. This is a commission for a cool guy in Oceanside. This is one of many shots up at point mugu with top professional model and was on the last cover of vogue magazine. The add should be out in the July issue of vogue. It was a great experience and the wind was howling and pretty cold. What you can't see in this photo is the girl on the lower right along with another guy are holding two large propane heaters to keep her warm. It was a 225 mile round trip to get there and it was great to see some new faces and new places. Stay tuned more photos on the way. Thank again to vogue and all the great people i met during the shoot. Also thanks to all of you that have supported San Clemente Surfboards & Art we had our one year anniversary in march.

Spring cleaning is very important

Time to clean house mentally,spiritually and physically. If you have to much clutter in your house that is simply collecting dust it's time to donate or discard. This is very important all they way down to saving negative texts or emails or letters etc. If ones does not delete or discard negative text,emails,or things that are from the past, then one will be attached to them and will be carrying the extra weight mentally,spiritually and physically through life. Letting go is when life flows.The past is nothing more than the trail one leaves behind what drive are lives today is the energy one generates in each present thought in each moment.

this is a combination painting with my good friend Yan he painted the outside of the eye area with cement trawls only. We both started painted at the same time which was 2001 and this is the first collaboration we have done together. Also the first collaboration i have done with any artist period.

If you take the time to stop into San Clemente Surfboards & Art and you are a fellow shaper surfer or shop owner leave your ego at the door and come in and introduce yourself and be thankful you get to live in this country let alone in orange county. Just for the record I personaly refer many people to many business in and out of town. So if you want to save the planet slow down talk less and drive slower and save the planet. When ego is lost limit is lost. So be thankful for all you have and remember what we think and feel and say becomes real so next time you start to say something negative about another think twice and breath and let go of ego and be happy. So what makes the surf clothing industry become a billion dollar business. Of course marketing or is it conditioning. I believe the surfboard always comes first because the surfboard creates the surfing life of the surfer today. The one thing that separates any so called surf shop is the surfboard. Go into 90 to 95% of any surf shop around the world what is the one thing most of them have in common? The one thing most of them have in common is they all carry 2 to 5 of all the same name brand surfboards and clothing companies. The shops that manufacture there own name brand surfboards and clothing are the real surf shops which are becoming a lost art and a dying breed. If your only looking for a good deal that's one thing but isn't the quality and the function of the surfboard even more important? I'm excited to say the first shaping and painting video is coming soon. The first one will be of me shaping a 6'3 twin fish style surfboard with a cool looking paint splash as well. The board is 6'3 21 by 2.50 center. This is a board after a 6ft I have been riding at trestles the last 3 to 4 months. I wanted a little bit more plaining speed and paddling for the long rides at trestles. So stay tuned I'm hoping to have it on a blogg in the next week or two with a surfing segment on the board as well. Thank you all again for your support and good energy.
