Before stepping onto a golf course you should be aware of a few simple rules, to help you here is a short guide to proper golfing behaviour.</DIV> <DIV>Because of the very social nature of the game of golf you are playing with either partners and or opponents and they are entitled to play without any hindrance or irritations caused by you, here are some tips.</DIV> <DIV>If someone is playing a stroke try and stand behind and out of their eye line, making sure not to stand too close. When on the green make every effort not to stand or walk across the line of another players putt. When a shot is being played keep as still and quiet as possible.</DIV> <DIV>One of the biggest bugbears these days is Slow Play and holding up of all the play on the course. If for instance a ball is lost during your round and you are helping to look for the lost ball, you should call the following match and allow them to play through<BR>.<BR>Two ball matches have precedence over three and four ball matches and are entitled to pass them. If you are a single player, you have no standing on the course and must give way to any match of any kind. If you lose one clear hole on the match in front of you, you should invite the following match to pass through as you are holding up play.</DIV> <DIV>No one wants to rush their shots; however there are a few steps that can be taken to prevent slow play. While your partner is playing their shot you can be preparing by thinking about your shot, making club selection and being ready to take your shot just after your partner. After your group has putted out you should clear the green promptly, mark your score cards off the green, you will have ample time to mark cards on your way to the next tee.</DIV> <DIV>Care of the fairways and greens is another must on the course, failure to do so is unforgivable. It is an essential part of etiquette to always replace divots on the fairways even if it wasn't caused by you. Divots are often moved off their spot by birds and rabbits so it is good practice to replace them and firm them down with your golf shoe.</DIV> <DIV>You should always repair any pitch marks left on the greens. Use a pitch mark repair fork and work your way around the edge of the pitch mark and tamp the area down with the sole of your putter.</DIV> <DIV>Studies have shown that it takes at least 21 days for an untreated pitch mark to fully recover. It has been said that the best policy is to repair as many marks as you can when on the greens. If everyone repaired at least one additional pitch mark there would never be any problems.</DIV> <DIV>You should always place the flag gently down on the green never throw or drop it. You should never lean on your putter when bending down to remove your ball from the hole as this can leave a mark on the grass.</DIV> <DIV>If your ball unfortunately ends up in a bunker it is your duty to rake the sand and smooth over any holes or footprints you have made. If there is no rake you should try and smooth out any footprints and holes prior to leaving the bunker.</DIV> <DIV>Following these simple guidelines on your part will ensure that others will enjoy their golf as much as you.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-2707425054388637698?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-20628036376238118062008-09-26T06:55:00.001-07:002008-09-26T06:55:41.140-07:00Golf Training Aids<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Monte Peace&nbsp; </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Selecting the Right Golf Glubs</DIV> <DIV>How do I go about selecting the right golf clubs and which one's would suit me best? This question is asked by novices who want to start up in golf as well as by more established players who want to purchase some new equipment to help improve their game. The most important items of equipment that concern all players, whether novices or low-handicappers, are the clubs - their suitability and price.</DIV> <DIV>The next question to answer is: "Where do I go?" You should start out by going to a PGA Approved Professional Shop for selecting the right golf clubs. But why? At one of these shops you will get expert advice on equipment, help with your game and, later on, a comprehensive repair service, all from qualified experienced golf professionals rather than from shop assistants, some of whom may not even know how to play the game.</DIV> <DIV>Get help from a professional when selecting golf clubs.<BR>The staff in many High Street shops are also more likely to be concerned with their company's turnover and therefore may not be particularly interested in the individual requirements of their customers. In some cases, all they need do is make a sale without worrying a great deal about the suitability of the goods sold. However, a professional will make sure that his customers will be able to use the clubs he sells because he will be in constant contact with them through lessons and membership of a club.</DIV> <DIV>The most important thing for the novice is to acquire the knowledge and technique he needs to enable him to play golf to the best of his ability. This can be achieved only through the services of a qualified golf professional. However, professionals are only human and most feel that their pupils should purchase their equipment at their pro shops rather than at a retail sports shop as they have everything in stock that a golfer, novice or otherwise, requires.</DIV> <DIV>Selecting golf clubs for the novice.<BR>Starting with the novice, the best suggestion is either to buy a second-hand set of clubs in good condition or a quality starter set. At this stage, it is not good policy to overspend when selecting golf clubs. If you are starting out in golf, you may not know yet whether it is going to be your game. If indeed it does prove to be so, then you still do not know what standard you will eventually reach -another good reason for not overspending at this stage.</DIV> <DIV>A good professional will always be prepared to take his customer to the practice range to assess his current needs and advise on selecting the best golf clubs for him or her. Being able to recommend the most suitable equipment for the individual does not always mean the most expensive. For the novice, many reputable companies offer their lower-end models as loss leaders. This means that quality is usually very high as they sell their products with the aim of attracting their customers to purchase their top-price models at a later date when they feel that they have improved.</DIV> <DIV>The price of many top-range clubs is determined to a large extent by the amount of marketing carried out, not simply because of the higher quality materials used. The degree of workmanship that goes into producing these clubs, involving more precision and careful balance, especially in the shafts and grips, contributes to the higher quality. However, these factors will benefit only the more experienced golfer. Once the novice has become a more competent player he will probably wish to take advantage of these superior clubs, and he can trade in his second-hand or starter set and buy a set of clubs that will improve his play and complement his game. </DIV> <DIV>Selecting golf clubs for more experienced golfers<BR>Once you have mastered the basic skills and techniques, you can consult the professional on selecting a better set of golf clubs. You will find that you have now moved into the widest market in golf. By now, you will have some idea of what you require to help your individual game. You can discuss with the professional which of the models you prefer, with particular reference to the shape of the club, and ask him to make recommendations. This will involve deciding between a game-improving club, i.e. heel and toe weighted or peripheral weighted, and a blade-type club.</DIV> <DIV>Game-improvement clubs: these are designed for middle-handicap golfers and cater for off-centre shots, by enlarging the sweet spot of the clubface and therefore allowing for a margin of error.</DIV> <DIV>The two main types mentioned are easily explained. A heel and toe weighted club has the weight distributed at both ends of the clubhead, thereby widening the sweet spot. A peripheral weighted club has the weight evenly distributed around the perimeter of the clubhead, enlarging the sweet spot over all.</DIV> <DIV>Blade clubs are the original shape of golf clubs with no thought given to helping the improving golfer. The weight on these clubs, generally, is evenly distributed, thereby leaving less room for error.</DIV> <DIV>Regardless of whether you choose a game-improvement or a blade club, the professional will now be able to help recommend a suitable shaft flex, lie of the club, swing weight and thickness of grip for selecting the right golf club for you.</DIV> <DIV>With all these things in mind, you now have to decide how much you want to invest.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-2062803637623811806?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-69214976890623254152008-09-25T07:03:00.001-07:002008-09-25T07:03:18.178-07:00Golf Tip – Picking The Proper Club During Your Round Matters<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Toby Klaremont </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>When you are playing a game of golf, one way to improve your round is to have a good discretion when it comes to picking out the right golf club. In any given situation, you are faced with 14 different choices. The key to being an expert golfer is being able to size up these situations when they arise, and decide which club to use from there. These opportunities allow you to truly improve your game, since each club has a very specific hitting ability. There are many different factors to observe when picking a golf club. Here are the main ones, and how you can analyze them to choose a golf club.</DIV> <DIV>Certainly the distance of the shot is the largest factor in choosing the proper club. Since you can pretty much line them all up from the least to the greatest hitting power, you will be able to choose one that is in the correct range.. Irons and Wedges are usually best if you are closer. They don't have as much hitting power as the long-range clubs, but they have the higher accuracy that you will need to hone in on your target. There is no substitute for consistency in helping determine the proper club. We all must resist the urge to "kill" the ball and know our limitations.</DIV> <DIV>On the longer holes where you use your driver off the tee, you can be left with shots requiring long-range clubs. These include the Fairway woods, or longer irons. Although these clubs will allow you to really put your muscle into the swing and hit the ball a long way, you will have better results with a consistent smooth swing. I am guilty of being more concerned with how "far" it goes than the accuracy of the shot. Develop a habit of playing under control and these shots will become predictable and lead to enjoyable shot<BR>making</DIV> <DIV>The wind is something that the real expert golfers really take into account, although often its importance is lost on the newer golfers. If the wind is blowing particularly hard in the direction that you wish to hit the ball, you can drop down to a less powerful club in order to allow the wind to pick up the slack. The same goes if the wind is coming forcefully towards you, in the opposite direction of your target. You will have to hit the ball extra hard in order to make up for the undesirable wind conditions, so choose a club that reflects this change. Usually it can be very hard for a beginner to determine how the wind strength and direction will affect their shot, so don't worry if the concept is lost on you at first. It just takes experience to start to make the connections.</DIV> <DIV>Besides the horizontal distance between you and the target, you also need to consider the vertical distance. Hitting to a plane that is higher than your current one requires more club power, which means that you should probably switch to the club that is one rank above the one you would have chosen. The same goes if the ground is lower. If you use a regular club to hit to a target that is 10 feet lower than you, chances are you are going to overshoot it. By using a smaller club according to the change in elevation, you will avoid quite a few lakes and sand traps. Always plan out your shot thoroughly, and consider all of the elevations and the general shape of the golf course.</DIV> <DIV>The surface of the golf course is the final thing that you want to consider, and is probably the easiest. If you are in difficult terrain, your top goal is not necessarily to get the ball to the hole, but rather just to get onto better terrain that will allow a better shot. An attempt to play a shot which is questionable to a safer "lay up" could cost several additional strokes. Therefore you shouldn't try to choose the more powerful clubs. Instead, stick with the smaller ones and get yourself back into the game as best as you can. High loft irons are good for this purpose, instead of fairway woods or long irons. It may be difficult to remember all of these factors at first, but as you get more involved with golfing you will become very familiar with them. It is important to remember that we are playing the course with our strengths and limitations, not just trying to match our playing partner's club usage or distance.</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-6921497689062325415?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-44143607568893924422008-09-24T06:51:00.001-07:002008-09-24T06:51:14.827-07:00Golf Balls: Gutties To G-forces<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Emery Noile </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>The game of golf originated on the fields of Scotland more than two hundred years ago. You can imagine how different the equipment was back in the 1700s! Of course, it's all changed dramatically since those early years. The golf ball itself had undergone revolutionary changes, until finally taking on the hard, dimpled form that we all know today.</DIV> <DIV>In the earliest stages of the game, golf balls were made of wood. The lifespan was relatively short, as the wood tended to crack after being struck several times. This led to the development of the feather-filled ball. Bound in leather, this style of golf ball was a wildly popular choice over wooden balls.</DIV> <DIV>It wasn't long before another threshold was crossed in the evolution of the golf ball. The new balls, known as "gutta-percha", took the sport by storm. Nicknamed "gutties", these balls were made with a type of natural latex called gutta-percha. Further adaptations led to a form of guttie that was similar to the style of golf ball we use today: a synthetic rubber core encased in a white plastic cover.</DIV> <DIV>In the early 1990s, changes in the structure of the golf ball were beginning to take shape. Golfers were given the choice of three different types, including the control golf ball, distance golf ball and the spin golf ball. The latter typically offers the best quality, while the distance ball is usually most affordably priced.</DIV> <DIV>Technological advances have brought about modifications in every area of development. Change has taken place in everything from materials used in the manufacturing process, to the roundness of the ball itself. Some golf ball types have gone through so many scientific modifications that you'd almost need a degree in chemistry to be able to comprehend all of the elements that form the simple golf ball.</DIV> <DIV>Today, most amateur golfers use a solid core ball with a cover made of a type of plastic called surlyn. These golf balls are more affordable and achieve greater distance, but they can be difficult to control. More experienced players choose golf balls with covers made of balata, a material that provides more spin and a better feel. These golf balls demand a higher price.</DIV> <DIV>Recently, some manufacturers have delved into the development of golf balls made with titanium. Others use tungsten and magnesium. Some golf balls are made with a mixture of metal components. Some golf balls have been exposed to gamma rays during the manufacturing process, and others have "bald spots" to achieve a truer roll. All of these developments are made, of course, in the name of improved play.</DIV> <DIV>In an effort to launch the simple golf ball to great new heights, technology has also found ways to alter compression. A golf ball's "compression" is a measurement that defines the degree of deformation that the ball presents after several hits. Many golfers mistakenly believe that using a ball with higher compression will add distance to their tee and fairway shots. Usually, there is a significant decrease in accuracy after a round of play. This may be attributed to the deformation of the ball after several strokes. The accuracy of the hits is affected, but the actual distance that the ball achieves is not.</DIV> <DIV>Most golf balls are tough as nails and built to last. There is no expiry date on a golf ball, so it can be successfully played after years in storage. It's important to know, however, that some conditions can shorten the life of a golf ball. For example, prolonged exposure to extreme heat will certainly take away from the life expectancy of a golf ball.</DIV> <DIV>Up until a few years ago, golfers were able to choose from just two basic types of golf balls. There wasn't a huge selection, so the demand was simple and the prices were very affordable. Now, however, technology has taken hold. The choice is vast, and prices have increased accordingly.</DIV> <DIV>Whether you're just starting out in golf or have been enjoying the sport for many years, you know that there is a lot to learn. From golf etiquette and rules of play, to golf equipment and even golf balls, there's always something new to learn about this age-old sport.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-4414360756889392442?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-15708614294616101812008-09-23T06:41:00.001-07:002008-09-23T06:41:21.651-07:00Golf Trainings Aids - Key To Improving Your Personal Game<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Lee MacRae</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Golf training aids are God's gift to the golfer! Okay, so maybe that's a little bit overboard. But golf training aids are definitely a boon to each and every golfer smart enough to use them. Golf training aids to the golfer are what tackling dummies are to the football player or what fungo bats are to the baseball player. They are essential tools to developing the skills required to play the game better. Are you smart enough to use a golf training aid? Follow along as we explain how you can determine what you need in a golf training aid to improve your game.</DIV> <DIV>Practice should be both productive and fun. To make your golf practice productive you need to determine what your goals are. To do that you need to analyze your game in such a way as to know what exactly you should be practicing on. True, you may feel you need to practice everything but you have to be as specific as possible in order to zero in the specifics for each practice round. Analyze your golf game. What is the weakest part of your game? How often do your drives find the fairway? How often do your iron shots hit the green? Do you have a hard time sinking putts? </DIV> <DIV>Once you know your weakest spot you can then concentrate on that particular part of your game to improve first. If it's putting, then what exactly is your problem? Do you have a hard time zeroing in on the cup? Do your putts go left or right rather than straight and true? If you are having difficulty lining your putt up then perhaps a device such as a laser trainer that gives you an actual visible line from your putter to a cup helps you to understand if you were actually aiming directly at the cup. It can help you to readjust your setup to correct this problem. If distance control is your problem, then a hinged putter can help you develop the correct swing path as well as the smooth acceleration that you need in your putting stroke. A hinged putter will break if you do not maintain the proper swing triangle in your putting stroke.</DIV> <DIV>Making changes and maintaining improvements in your golf game is not an easy thing. Even if your swing is incorrect you often become very comfortable with it and it's difficult to change it. Golf training aids can be extremely beneficial in that they can help you to isolate the specific areas that you are trying to improve. A focused practice session is a much more productive session than just banging out a bucket balls day after day. Even deeply ingrained habits can be changed by using a specific golf training aid.</DIV> <DIV>Golf training aids are essential tools necessary to improve any golfer's game. And that's where the fun part of practice comes. Developing a proper golf swing, developing a proper putting stroke and actually beginning to see improvements not only can a practice session but around the golf will make you enjoy the game much, much more than you do today. Use golf training aids wisely, improve your game and become a much better golfer. There is nothing like success to breed more success and to create an enjoyable atmosphere on the links.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-1570861429461610181?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-41219471574768365122008-09-22T06:42:00.001-07:002008-09-22T06:42:26.028-07:00Elements Of A Golf Swing<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: GolfSwing</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>There are 6 basic steps in the golf swing that each golfer should be aware prior to each golf shot. Step number 1 is body alignment relative to the target. Start by standing 2 to 3 yards behind the golf ball, with your body and the ball forming a straight line to the target. Pick out a guiding target directly behind and directly in front of the golf ball that is in the line your body and the golf make toward the target. These targets could be anything on the ground inches in front and behind the golf ball like leaves, grass, a broken tee, whatever. Focus on these ground targets that fall on the line you picked out to the target as you approach the golf ball.</DIV> <DIV>Step number 2 of golf swing involves club face alignment. We already have our body aligned from the previous step. Now let's get our club face aligned. Set the golf club face behind the golf ball, aligning the middle of the golf clubs face with the targets you picked out on the ground directly in front and behind the golf ball. Gripping the golf clubs with a tension-free grip will allow you to be relaxed through out the duration of the golf swing. Line your feet up about shoulder width apart on a line parallel to the line made by your golf ball and the ground targets directly in front and behind the golf ball. As Tiger Woods has mentioned, you should have your knees slightly bent in an athletic stance. In order to allow your hips to rotate without restriction, the front foot should open a little toward the target.</DIV> <DIV>Tilt your torso slightly towards the ball while keeping your back straight. The arms should now hang freely in front of the body to grip the club. The shoulders should be parallel with the ground targets and the toes, and your head should be tilted downward with your eyes on the ball. These motions described are known as the set-up, or addressing the ball.</DIV> <DIV>This element of the golf swing is the back swing or take away. Your back elbow should remain closely tucked to your ribs as you slowly take the golf club back. The golf club should remain on a straight line along the plane of your alignment toward the target on the ground. The front arm should remain straight throughout this part of the swing and always keep your eye on the back of the golf ball where you want the club face to impact the ball. This back swing motion should instinctively place your chin into your front shoulder. Your hips should stay still and tilted a bit, while your front knee will turn in. At the top of your back swing, your wrists should cock a little. This allows for a more powerful down swing and more distance on your golf shot.</DIV> <DIV>Step 5 of the golf swing is the down swing. During this element of the golf swing, you will be bringing the golf club down toward the ball on the same plane with the line formed by the ground targets you have setup directly in front and behind the golf ball. The wrists will start uncoiling and your weight will be shifting from the back foot to the front foot. This part of the golf swing will produce the speed and force to carry the golf ball toward the target. Keep the golf club face on the target line throughout the down swing and your eyes always on the back of the golf ball. The golf club face should strike the golf ball and then the ground directly in front of where the golf ball was resting. There is nothing like success to breed more success and to create an enjoyable atmosphere on the links.</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-4977272333969529771?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-62752876365285188302008-09-20T06:50:00.001-07:002008-09-20T06:50:29.314-07:00Free Golf Tips - Beware of Bad Advice <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By : Trevor Mulholland</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>If you have decided to take up golf, you are probably in search of free golf tips. Good news! You've found them! These free golf tips are designed with every golfer in mind, and they are beneficial to anyone who reads them. </DIV> <DIV>The first tip is to beware of tips! That's right. Many well meaning golfers will offer you a great deal of advice. What many people fail to realize is that what works for one golfer probably won't work for others. These tips, however, are for all golfers. </DIV> <DIV>Enjoy the game. Getting mad isn't much fun. If you aren't enjoying the game, you need to find out why, and fix the problem. Getting upset over bad swings or problem areas won't fix anything, and it will only serve to take all of the fun out of the game. This is a game that tests your skill and technique - but it is still a game, and games are meant to be enjoyed! </DIV> <DIV>Be a great sport - even if you aren't great at golf. Be respectful to the other players. Be still and quiet when they are taking their shots. Don't criticize or make fun of the way they stand, shoot, or grip the club....no matter how good you think your own game is. Good sportsmanship is everything, and without it, you won't have any golfing companions in a very short period of time. </DIV> <DIV>Golf responsibly. Do not litter the course. If the grass is loosened and turned when you shoot, use your foot to replace it. Wait your turn if you come upon a group at the next tee - don't rush them. Use caution when driving golf carts, and use caution again when you take your shots to avoid hitting houses, buildings, animals, or other golfers. Leave the course better than you found it. </DIV> <DIV>When you practice, practice at the hardest holes on the course...don't take the easy way out, practicing only on the easy holes, thinking you are making headway - you aren't. Practice on the hardest tees, and the hardest putts. Put yourself in the traps, and practice getting out of them. Imagine worst case scenarios and set them up. This is what will make you a better golfer. </DIV> <DIV>Play miniature golf, and take it more seriously - but still have fun. Playing miniature golf is a great way to improve your putting skills. Many seasoned golfers laugh at this suggestion - but its true! Good miniature golf courses provide really challenging obstacles that you must put through, under, around and over....some even offer more challenges than you will ever find on your local golf course greens! </DIV> <DIV>Keep your eyes open for used training aids. If they are reasonably priced - buy them! Not all training aids will help you, but unfortunately, you won't know which ones will unless you try them out first. Get together with golfing friends and go in together to buy golfing aids that you can share. The aids that are available on the market today will help you improve your game a great deal, in a short amount of time. </DIV> <DIV>Read a lot - and play even more. There are lots of techniques that you can learn from golfing websites, golf books, and golf magazines - but you will learn them faster out on the course! Read it once, and then go try it. If you need to, print it out and carry it with you - but go put the theory into practice - and practice, practice, practice! You can learn the concept sitting in your living room, but you will never make that concept work for you if you don't take it out onto the course with you! </DIV> <DIV>If you can't get on the course, and you have some spare time and enough room, practice your swing. You don't need a ball for this. Consider using a training club during these times to help build strength as well. If you take the time to practice your swing several times a day, you will find that you have a perfect swing for you in short order! If your golf game gets rained out - use the time to practice your swing, or practice your putting indoors...but don't let that time go to waste! The best free golf tips you will ever receive will all include the word 'practice!'</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Article Source: <A href="http://www.articlenode.com">http://www.articlenode.com</A> </DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-6275287636528518830?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-29877573931436156062008-09-19T07:12:00.001-07:002008-09-19T07:12:18.751-07:00Great Golf Holiday Destinations To Visit<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>Author: Andrew Gibson </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>With such a demand for golf holidays abroad most warm weather holiday destinations in Europe have now started promoting golf holidays. Golf balls are dimpled tiny balls, use in to play golf. They are dimpled to reach farther length when driven by golf clubs. </DIV> <DIV>Another important golf equipment is a golf club or golf driver. Golf drivers come in different varieties. This is because a golf course has different landscapes and different golf clubs are required to make the proper drive. Depending on the landscape, either sand, grass or cement, a golf club is essential to make the perfect drive. Professional golfers usually have a bag or two of golf clubs to cater to their golf needs. Most golf stores and sports equipment store sell golf clubs. Some golf clubs are sold in sets while other are sold individually. </DIV> <DIV>To protect your golf equipment, such as your golf club, a golf bag golf club cover is essential. A golf bag will, of course, hold your golf club in one place and will make it easier for your caddy to bring your many golf clubs. Golf bags can also hold golf balls and other golf equipment like water bottle to quench your thirst while under the sun or extra shirt or your regular shoes. On the other hand, a golf club cover covers the edge of your golf club. This is done so to protect your golf club from unwanted scratches and dents. Dents can cause your drive to go from ok to bad. Dents in golf clubs can affect the drive of your golf ball. With these golf equipment, you can take care of the state of your club and your game. </DIV> <DIV>One golf equipment that you need to invest on is a good pair of golf shoes. Golf shoes are different from usual rubber shoes or walking shoes. Golf shoes are created to walk on greens - the type where the sport is played. Golf shoes usually have pointed rubber under the soles to grip the earth and sand under your feet. This way, unnecessary shaking or moving is avoided. This is important because shaking can cause you to not hit the golf ball or to hit the golf ball in the wrong direction. If you plan to play professional golf a good pair of golf shoes is a necessary golf equipment to add up to your list. Choose one that is sturdy yet comfortable enough for you to walk into. Golf is a sport that requires walking from one hole to another or to where your ball landed (you can not use golf carts on the greens) and thus, if your golf shoes are uncomfortable, you would have a hard time concentrating on your game.</DIV> <DIV>A golf equipment usually provided by most golf courses (aside from the golf ball) is the tee. The tee is the tiny pin like thing that you punch to the ground to stand your ball into. The tee is use in teeing off (the start of your first drive) thus the name. </DIV> <DIV>The most amazing golf equipment ever created (for me, that is) is the golf cart. Golf carts can take you from one hole to the other, though as I said earlier they are not allowed on the greens, they still lessen the burden of having to walk under the hot sun. This golf equipment can be acquired from golf courses. Golf players are usually made to use golf equipment such as this to give them a better and easier time playing the sport.</DIV> <DIV>Many specialty shops and sport shops offer golf equipment. The internet is also a good source of golf equipment. Second hand golf equipment are even auctioned off the internet, if you are on a tight budget. Check out your local golf shop, sports shop, specialty shops, E-bay or Yahoo! for your golf equipment needs.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Article Source: <A href="http://www.articlesbase.com/">http://www.articlesbase.com/</A></DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-2045957623771067834?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-48244637968298457022008-09-17T06:53:00.001-07:002008-09-17T06:53:28.094-07:00Helpful Golf Club Selection Guide<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Toby Klaremont </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Choosing a decent set of golf clubs is a very important part of maturing in the game. Therefore you should consider many different things when buying the clubs. You will find out some of the most helpful advice when buying clubs, as well as general helpful information that any golfer should know.</DIV> <DIV>To start with, you should familiarize yourself with the types of golf clubs that you need. There are 14 clubs total for each set, but they can all be categorized in the following: <BR>1. Irons are the ones that are used for very distance specific golfing work, and the distance is determined by the size and weight of the head. You are provably most familiar with these from using them on the golf course. <BR>2. Woods are used to achieve very large distances with a slightly lower accuracy level than irons. You will have to hit a ball a few times with a wood to get an idea of how far it will go with your stroke.<BR>3. Putters are used for shorter strokes, and strokes that require a higher level of accuracy than the other clubs can provide. In order for your golf club collection to be complete (or even functional within the golf game), you will need to have at least one of each of these. </DIV> <DIV>If you are just getting started with golfing, then you probably don't want to buy an expensive full golf set. It is a better idea to buy inexpensive clubs that you can upgrade after you become more familiar with the game. This is the best way to get a feel for your needs when it comes to the specific statistics of the club. </DIV> <DIV>Graphite is something that many golfers are split on. The advocates of graphite say that it is lighter, easier to swing, and allow for more powerful strokes because of this. Some prefer the stiffness of steel over the comparatively flexible graphite clubs. If you have a fast stroke or you prefer to have some weight in your club, you will be fine sticking with steel clubs. </DIV> <DIV>One of the most important things you can do as a beginner is to familiarize yourself with all aspects of the game, and become very skilled with the equipment that you already have. Until then, just stick with what you have and master it. You will be glad in the future when you have not wasted huge amounts of money on equipment that is far more fancy and technical than you could possibly need. This is something that many golfers regret, and something that you can avoid.</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-4824463796829845702?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-89679194349699074462008-09-16T06:42:00.001-07:002008-09-16T06:42:17.548-07:00Golf--it's Easy To Improve Your Golf Swing With The Proper Grip<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Justin Flowers&nbsp; </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Have you achieved the consistency you are looking for in your golf swing? Knowing what to expect when you tee off will help you achieve the golf scores you want. But to achieve that kind of swing, it's essential for you to get the basics right. You must realize that one of the essentials of a reliable golf swing is your grip, or in other words the way you hold the club. Lots of sloppy golf shots can be traced to an incorrect grip.</DIV> <DIV>So what's the big deal with the grip? Your golf grip is the connection between you and the golf club. What your club face is doing at the point of impact all depends on your grip. The correct grip helps you create more power in your swing.</DIV> <DIV>Most of today's golfers use one of these three grips: the interlocking grip, the overlapping grip and the two handed or baseball grip.</DIV> <DIV>The overlapping grip is the most common. It's especially well-suited for golfers with larger hands. An overlapping grip is accomplished by placing the little finger of your trailing hand between the index and middle fingers of your leading hand (for right-handed golfers, your trailing hand will be your right hand). Always ensure that the golf club is held more in your fingers rather than in the palm of your hands. It should assist you to get a better feel. It should also provide for more wrist action, which will given time increase the power of your swing. Should you end up slicing the ball or don't appear to have power, look and see if your club has moved into the palm of your leading hand.</DIV> <DIV>You will spot golfers on the LPGA using the interlocking grip pretty often. One reason is that this grip happens to be a useful solution for players with medium-sized hands. But don't let anybody tell you it's for ladies only. Golfing greats Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods have both used the interlocking grip in their careers. A big plus of the interlocking grip is how it locks your hands as a unit. But it's also a simple matter for the golf club to move into your palms. If you use the interlocking grip, don't forget to use a light grip pressure. If your grip is too tight, you'll start to see your golf ball slicing weakly away from the tee. The lightness of your grip is what will provide the proper amount of club rotation. What is the best way to tell if your grip is too tight? A good indication is that your hands start to ache before you finish playing.</DIV> <DIV>Should you suffer from stiff joints, or if you have smaller hands, you might wish to think about the intertwined grip. It's also called the 10-finger or baseball grip. Not as many golfers use this grip, although there are some benefits. Utilizing all ten fingers provides increased support and more power for your swing. A disadvantage is that precision club head control is more difficult to accomplish.</DIV> <DIV>Putting in plenty of time on the driving range is a great way to improve your grip. Regular, dedicated practice will assist you to become more confident with the feel of your grip and help with your swing. If you are under tension, you tend to squeeze harder, and that is always bad for your golf swing. You will find the best way to limit tension and improve your grip, and your golf swing, is to make a regular appointment at the driving range.</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-8967919434969907446?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-55520217063488534402008-09-15T06:58:00.001-07:002008-09-15T06:58:58.303-07:00Great Places To Play Golf In November<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Arthor Pens </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Many golfers in northern climates may think the season is over. Or at least until that next business trip or Thanksgiving vacation. Living in Colorado, I've played in all types of conditions to quench my thirst for the links. Since I can't guarantee when that one sunny November day in the Twin Cities or Boston will be I've limited my suggestions to warmer climates. </DIV> <DIV>There are three reasons why golf in November is ideal. </DIV> <DIV>First, rates are cheaper. In Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun, it's early season and greens fees are still good. You can play while visiting retired parents. If there are a couple of famed courses on your must play-before-I-die list, November is the time to look for more affordable rates. </DIV> <DIV>Second, golf courses are not as busy. Peak tourist season has not hit Panama City or Orlando. So you won't have to spend half your time sitting in a golf cart. </DIV> <DIV>Third, the weather is better. In Miami it's after hurricane season. Courses haven't been hacked up and the winter grass has come in. Hotel rates are very reasonable, too. When playing golf in New Orleans you won't have to wring out your clothes after you get off the course. Humidity is down, course conditions are perfect. </DIV> <DIV>And don't forget San Francisco and its famously bizarre weather patterns. Tee off in early November and you may think its June anywhere else. Courses may be a little dry, but the fog has cleared. Houston, like New Orleans and Atlanta, boasts low humidity and perfect course conditions.</DIV> <DIV>A course that has been very popular lately in the Houston area is Longwood Golf Club in Cypress, Texas. They just completed redeveloping the Post Oak 9 and you've got to get out and play it. Designed by former touring pro Keith Fergus and Harry Yewens, this Houston area 27-holer is rated among the top five daily fee courses in the Houston area. </DIV> <DIV>San Antonio is good in November for all three reasons. Average November high temperature is 71 degrees and San Antonio city leaders are aggressively courting golf vacationers to visit their courses. To compete with golf destinations like Myrtle Beach, Phoenix and Scottsdale, San Antonio combines classy courses with skimpy green's fees. </DIV> <DIV>Check out La Cantera Palmer Course, outside of San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country. Designed by Arnold Palmer, this course has two signature holes. The first is hole #7, The Rattler, featuring a rattlesnake-shape bunker on the left side and a cliff side tee shot eighty-feet above the fairway. The second is hole #12, where the green is guarded by a natural waterfall and creek.</DIV> <DIV>November also is Thanksgiving month. The four-day weekend provides a great opportunity to get away with the family or your buddies for 36 holes. And you'll be back in time to shovel snow on Sunday. </DIV> <DIV>Orlando has challenging courses in the shadow of the Disney kingdom. This is an ideal locale to combine family time and golf time. Celebration (near Disney and Kissimee) is an upscale daily-fee resort course that exudes an atmosphere of beautiful tranquil, fun and challenging golf in Orlando. Conveniently located in Kissimmee near I-4 and just off Hwy. 192, you'll never know you're in the heart of Orlando's tourist district and only minutes away from Disney World.</DIV> <DIV>And if you're in Afghanistan this November it is easy to find a course as there is only one. The Kabul Golf Club course has no grass and is billed as a desert-style course. The greens are called "browns", a tightly packed combination of oil and sand. The owner refuses to close the nine-hole course despite the fact they have only seven golf balls and it's in the middle of a country with one of the lowest GDP's in the world. "People need to play golf," he said. And how! </DIV> <DIV>People do need to play golf. This November, get out there and hit few and have fun.</DIV> <DIV>Provided by ArticleGOLD: Articles Directory - Article Directory</DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-5552021706348853440?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-37330207856934164542008-09-14T06:55:00.001-07:002008-09-14T06:55:09.757-07:00Golf Is So Rewarding<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>By: Justin Flowers</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Although golf is a game it can be more correctly called a sporting activity, but even that doesn't cover its wide appeal. Golf isn't an easy game to learn to play, but could be thought of to be one of the most satisfying, for different reasons. You will find it sociable because of the many good friends you can meet, but there are also many profitable deals negotiated on the golf course that can make it rewarding in a financial way. Beside club purchase, there are additional items necessary to prepare yourself for play. The next most obvious items are a golf bag and golf balls. If you are purchasing a starter set of clubs many come with a golf bag included. If you like to walk and enjoy a little workout as you play there are carry bags, which are light weight and are slung over your shoulders. There are other bag options for you to choose from and I would suggest that you speak to the sales representative in your local pro shop or golf store (ie; Dick's Sporting Goods and Golfsmith would provide this service) and ask him to explain the different types and price range to best suit your needs. Golf balls can also vary dramatically in price - from about $9.99 /dozen to $45.99 for the best balls on the market - Titleist Pro V and Pro V1x. </DIV> <DIV>As a beginner I would recommend that you buy the more economically priced balls. The difference in performance will be negligible and you will have a tendency to lose more balls as a novice so why waste money? As you improve, you can always upgrade the type of ball that you use - I would recommend purchasing about two dozen balls to get started. There are also different compression golf balls made. 80, 90 and 100. The compression selected is directly proportionate to how fast you swing and your golf mechanics. I will not elaborate on this right now but an 80 or 90 compression ball should be more than adequate for now. If you have some power and a fairly quick swing, I would opt for the 90 which may give you a bit more distance. NOTE: The professionals and low handicap players use the higher compression balls because their impact speed and swing mechanics will allow the ball to compress properly, thus attaining the maximum result in distance. Some other equipment I would strongly recommend would be as follows: </DIV> <DIV>A golf towel, golf shoes ( though not absolutely necessary it will assist with stability as you swing), Golf tees ( Note: there are different height golf tees made for different drivers, woods and irons - I would recommend that you pick up an assortment of sizes - 2 1/8" for woods and irons &amp; 2 3/4" or 3 1/4" for Drivers depending on type and size. Check with golf pro or sales person for recommendations if not sure), a golf glove ( not required but it will give you a definite advantage in gripping and holding the club more effectively), ball markers ( used on the green to mark your ball so you will not to block the path of your fellow player - a rule of golf etiquette), and a divot repair tool ( used to repair the indentation made in the green when the golf ball lands - one of the rules of etiquette to be addressed in a future writing ). Although not required to play golf, you may want to consider packing the following ancillary items : Band-aids, sunscreen and insect repellent. You never know when you may need them and it's better to be prepared to allow for maximum comfort while you play. I think we've covered most of the essentials and if you have any questions please feel free to submit them to me. Now you've got the Desire, you've got your equipment, next step is to learn how to play- "The Right Way". </DIV> <DIV>There are a number of different options available to learn how to play golf. You can self teach ( read books and watch instructional videos), ask a relative or friend who knows how to play to teach you, if you are in a high school or college that offers a golf program - enroll in the program, take lessons from the golf pro at your local driving range, take golf lessons from the professional at your local golf course, golf store, private club or pro shop or enroll in a golf school. The method you choose can greatly effect your results so be sure to make the right decision for you.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Article source: <A href="http://www.articlecity.com/">http://www.articlecity.com/</A></DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-8243311192782995354?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-81324286099121950322008-09-12T08:02:00.001-07:002008-09-12T08:02:57.321-07:00Golf Is So Rewarding<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>Article Author&nbsp;:&nbsp; J. Here are the basics. A golf club has three parts - the head, the shaft and the grip. A standard set of golf clubs consists of three woods (the Driver, #3, and #5 fairway woods), eight irons (#3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, and PW), and a putter - that's twelve clubs in all. According to the rules of golf, and we should all play by the rules, you can carry fourteen clubs in your bag, so many golfers add a specialty wood or another iron.<BR>Now, let's have a look at the different types of clubs.</DIV> <DIV>Drivers &amp; Fairway woods <BR>These clubs are used to hit longer shots. That's a basic yet apt way to look at it. If a golf hole is a par four or five from tee to green, most golfers would choose to use a wood.<BR>The driver, or the 1 Wood, has the lowest loft of any golf club. Loft is the angle of the club face that controls trajectory and affects distance. A driver has a loft between 7 and 12 degrees. Better golfers have traditionally favored drivers with less than 10 degrees of loft, which require a lot more skill to hit. <BR>Most golfers also carry a #3 and #5 fairway wood as part of their arsenal. A #3 wood has a loft of 15 degrees, and a #5 wood has a loft of 18 degrees. The higher the golf club number, the higher the loft. The #3 and #5 wood are commonly referred to as fairway woods, because they are most often used during the second shot of play, when you are supposed to be on the fairway. </DIV> <DIV>Hybrids <BR>Hybrids are a recent innovation to golf. A hybrid is a combination of an iron and a wood and is an easier to hit alternative to a long iron. Hybrids are versatile enough to be used in any situation. Hybrids come in a range of four lofts - 16 (#2), 19 (#3), 22 (#4) and 25 (#5) Degrees. Hybrids replace their equivalent number long iron, e.g. a #3 hybrid will replace a #3 iron and a #2 hybrid can be used to replace a #5 fairway wood. </DIV> <DIV>Irons <BR>Irons are generally used for shorter distances and more control than drivers and fairway woods. The closer you are to the green, the higher the iron you will use. A standard set of irons consists of #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8 and #9 and the PITCHING WEDGE (PW). A sandwedge is generally a good option to purchase for shots out of sand traps. The #3 and #4 irons are harder to hit than the higher numbered irons. Many golfers choose to replace the #3 and #4 iron with higher lofted woods or hybrids which are easier to hit than traditional long irons, resulting in comparable distances. </DIV> <DIV>Wedges <BR>Wedges are really just specialty irons. The first wedge is the Pitching Wedge (PW), which is usually between 52 and 56 degrees in loft. The PW is the highest lofted iron in a standard set and lowest loft of the wedges. Lob wedges range from 58 to 64 degrees and are used for close range short and high shots to overcome obstacles close to the green. Wedges are extremely useful for your short game and it is beneficial to keep a selection of them in your bag. <BR>Sand Wedges are another type of wedge and are designed to get you out of the dreaded sand traps. They have a shorter shaft and a more angled face to get under the ball in order to exit a bunker. </DIV> <DIV>Putters <BR>As the adage goes "Drive for show, Putt for dough". The putter usually gets you in the hole, so it can be assumed, that choosing the right putter is critical to your game. Putters come in various styles and types.: short, belly, long, bent, center-hosel, heel-toe, mallet, and so on. When choosing a putter the main things to consider are the: weighting, balance and feel. Better putters provide alignment aids to help you visualize the line from your ball to the target.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Article Source: <A href="http://www.articlesbase.com/">http://www.articlesbase.com/</A></DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-4833855702226443533?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-11731782016226087022008-09-10T06:33:00.001-07:002008-09-10T06:33:12.367-07:00Colorado Golf Resort<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>Author: Pole Creek Golf </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Hitting it big is not everything at Pole Creek Mountain golf resort. The word ''golf'' is actually a modification of the Dutch word "kolf" which simply means a "bat," "stick,'' or "club". If defined literally, the game is all about striking a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes while complying with the rules of the game. It is one of those rare games which do not require playing area; rather golf is played on golf "courses." The competitions of golf are based on stroke play, where the individual or team posts with lowest score on the most individual for a full round, wins the game. Some other team games of golf such as fourball have been pioneered, and are played either using matchplay format or stroke. Several alternative styles of golf playing have been introduced like disc golf and miniature golf. If you are not very familiar with the basics, the first thing you would need to know would be the main objective of the game: you have to hit the ball at the start or at the tee into the hole for every section in the course's 18 sections or 18 holes.</DIV> <DIV>The hole is located on the green, which is a piece of short and well-maintained grass. Once you are already on the green, you need to use your putter, which is the club that has a slab-like end, instead of your other normal clubs.</DIV> <DIV>Every hole has a specified target number of shots to be done from the tee to the hole. This is called the par. For instance, if you are on a par 5 hole, you would need to get the ball from the tee to the hole in five shots or less. If you were able to do it with exactly the number of shots specified, then your score would be a par. If you did it in one less than the par, your score would be a birdie. If you did it in two less than the par, your score would be an eagle. Three below par would be called an albatross and the best score would be a hole in one, which happens if you were able to get the ball from the tee to the hole in one hit.</DIV> <DIV>On the other hand, if you scored one more than the par then that would be a bogey. Two more than the par would be a double bogey. If you have tried for more that 12 shots, then you forfeit the hole. You would then have to move to the next hole.</DIV> <DIV>Eventually, as you go through the game, there would be various hazards that you would have to deal with. If your ball lands on the rough, which is an area on the course that has long grass, you could find it difficult to move on from that area. There could also be trees on the rough of some courses, which could make them harder to get out of. The worst hazards would be the lakes and the ponds, because if you hit the ball into one, it would cost you the shot you took and another shot as a penalty, which would make it harder to reach par.</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Article Source: <A href="http://www.articlesbase.com/">http://www.articlesbase.com/</A></DIV></td></tr></table><br> <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4495311727239568148-4304154996663820528?l=golfsite101.blogspot.com'/></div>Ahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02631150447537156451noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4495311727239568148.post-47060813141981259262008-09-06T06:04:00.000-07:002008-09-06T06:05:00.867-07:00Golf Training Aid Excitement<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>Author: Golf Training Aid </DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>We are proud to anounce the Grand Opening of Tee Time Pros. There are numerous golf balls being manufactured everyday, with new models and types being introduced every once in a while. The variations in the golf balls usually lie in the number of dimples there are in the balls, the construction of the ball, and the distance it can travel at a single shot.</DIV> <DIV>The golf ball review describes the launching of a new brand of golf balls, placing importance on the different models of the individual brands. For example, Nike had first introduced the original One ball one year, to be followed by a line of balls for every type of golfer. All this information is furnished in the golf ball review.</DIV> <DIV>The next thing that may be described in the golf ball review is the construction of the golf ball. Some of the golf balls are three-piece balls and others may have a four-piece construction. The writer of the golf ball review may then write his comments on the distance the golf ball may cover and compare this distance with other golf balls.</DIV> <DIV>Of course, the golf ball review not only describes the positive points of the golf balls, but also the negative points of the golf ball. Some balls may not have a good feel to the user of the ball; while some balls are good for putting, others are good for chipping. This is all mentioned in the golf ball review.</DIV> <DIV>The last point that is usually found in the golf ball reviews is the opinion of the writer on which ball is better for golf matches. The answer may be provided with the reasons. Then of course, a mention of the price of the golf ball is provided. There is also a mention of whether or not that golf ball is recommended for use in tournaments So when buying a golf ball, it is always advisable to read some golf ball reviews first.<BR>Golf Balls provides detailed information on Golf Balls, Used Golf Balls, Golf Ball Logos, Golf Ball Reviews and more.
